I am so glad you started doing You Tube. Your ink and wash mini paintings mean× so much to me. I feel so successful when I complete lne of those snd someone likes it. It has given me courage to keep painting every day. It is heal8ng my soul!
It’s hard to believe I have just now discovered you. I feel like I’ve been missing out!!!! But I am here now, subscribed and binge watching your videos. Really enjoying and actually got paints out to follow along. I m really enjoying you, thank you so much. And side note, I read through comments and it appears you have top notch followers. Nice to see people being kind, positive, and grateful. The kind of people I like to hang with!!! Thanks again, on with my binge!!!!
I only now just found your site!! And you may not see this because this post is old but I think I enjoy your ‘teaching’ more than most because we seem to have the same idea!!! Thanks for the wealth of stuff to catch up on!
Hello, I am many miles away in South Australia. My favourite medium is water colour, and was interested watching your video for Christmas. But what am I am loving right now is your introduction to this flower video, and proceeding in the same very impulsive vein! Congratulations! Seeing your face drew me further into watching you work. I think you are making something magical....all the best Cynthia
So many fantastic tips. I didn’t know about laying my brush down to dry before putting in my pot and love this painting so much. Hope I get chance to see a live painting someday 😊
Oh Ellen I wish I’d found you when you originally put this video out. It is truly inspiring and I love your way of teaching and bring loose. This is my most favourite video ever. Thank you ☺️
You don’t look scary!!! You look like us!!! 😆 I’m from Brantford, Ontario - about an hour drive from Niagara Falls. Thanks for spending more time with us again on New Years day!! The net is just great - it brings us together & in our wildest dreams we couldn’t have imagined it as kids. Best wishes & all God’s blessings in 2021, Ellen. 🎉🌺💜🙋🏻✨
Dear Ellen, it´s a pleasure to paint with you. I love your humor!!! I am looking forward to seeing more videos. In this sense I wish you a happy new year from far away Germany.
Hey I have enjoyed your tutorials on and off all day. Thanks so much I hope I can continue to get your work. I will try some one day! You are really talented!
I live in Indonesia and I follow your tips or lesson...I am a beginner of this technique ,but you give me so much fun to learn this watercolour painting. Thank you so much and I'll keep following you on youtube. Kind regards from.. Maggy V.
Hi Ellen... today was my first ever at trying to watercolour... Ive spent the whole day playing and mixing... and now I just found you.... Ive had the most joyous day laughing at my efforts but I love it... finally at 64
So I have been watching all your flower tutorials and have painted four different flower groupings. Your art is amazing and has really made all the difference in how my flower art has turned out. There lovely and is some of my best work. I could never get them to look right and now I am really on to something special. Thanks ever so much!!! 🥰🌺🧡🌷
Ellen you are just great! Thank you for giving us all of these wonderful tutorials. You are my favorite painting instructor! And you come across as a nice, fun person.
Watching from Redcliffe near Brisbane, Australia. Thank you so much for your inspirational videos. I have learnt so much from you. You’re such an authentic teacher. My paintings have become much looser and more interesting and dramatic as I have applied your techniques and suggestions. And I have enjoyed painting so much more as well… learning to play with paint. Thank you!! Love to see you while you chat as well. 😍
Thank you for allowing us to watch you work through the process when things aren't looking quite the way you want. I often will have something that I just love certain aspects of, but then I make some stupid mistake that seems to screw up the whole thing. Sometimes I get lucky and my "fix" works out well and it almost looks like I knew what I was doing lol and other times not so much so. Oh well I guess that's just the learning process.
Sorry I missed this. Happy New Year Ellen! I love your style of teaching, you make it so easy. I get so nervous when I try painting with watercolors and listening to you is so relaxing. Thank you and looking forward to more of your lessons.
I really like the ytube art scene it has open up so many avenues and I've met ( via ytube and zoom) so many people like me in the art community that are learning and expanding our art knowledge.....I'm internally grateful for some many artist sharing their skills...I wish I could buy so many pieces of their art but as my wall space is tiny I have to live vicariously thru just learning... my one dream wish is that my artist I enjoy do a book of their works I could buy... I'd ask them to sign the book but if I could I would win the lottery and I'd pay all of my favorite artist to do books for me...I have like 30 artist that I like from potters to watercoloritis....many art blessing to you today🎨👩🎨
Thanks, and Happy New Year to you. That white flower you painted in at the end is just gorgeous. I wasn’t crazy about all the stems happening there. You certainly showed us how to fix a spot that needed something. I think painting in a loose style requires so much imagination. Some may think it just is a bunch of colors dabbed on to "kinda look like something," but it is so much more. I love it!
And this is bizarre I’m watching you for the first time from Melbourne, Australia Saturday the 1st of Jan 2022 thought I’d take a moment to mention that before you start to paint. - Kirstie
Happy New Year from Oklahoma! It's a very WHITE and! We got about 8 inches of snow on top of 1/3 in of ice. Thanks for painting for us a lovely floral to start the New Year!
