Its a mistake Mojang has made before; they SHOULD NOT show anything unless it will 100% be implemented into the game, this includes mob votes or other votes.
I agree completely. And I go even further than that. In my opinion a mob or any feature should be added because it furthers the gameplay, not because it won a vote. I kinda don't like the premise of the mob vote itself.
@@theeclipsemaster I was half expecting to hear them do that this year. With the wild update controversy last year, we could've used a pleasant surprise :/

No, they have been getting more and more vague, because they keep learning that those voting can be pretty dumb, and that they have to pretty feature complete(like this year, full description of the mobs with only a little of open possibilities) otherwise people will blow things out of proportion and assume insane things from small statements.
Did no one notice the mobs in the mob vote world? They clearly haven't forgotten them, and I sort of doubt they'll just throw it in our faces like that without some plan.. I feel like all they just revealed shows what they are planning. They have us camels, whose to say they don't update the desert? They're hinting to updating older stuff if you ask me. Wouldn't surprise me if we see palm trees and new savannahs and birch soon
I think the worst part about the mob vote is the execution. The Phantom could’ve been a terrifying creature that forced players to sleep but they made it annoying and easy to get around. The Glow Squid could’ve added a new effect to the game and made it dangerous to go near and could’ve added dynamic lighting as well. I just really hope they don’t mess up the Sniffer.
I’ll give a decent agreement on the phantom. I tell you, they should have added a height component to it as well instead of just tying down to the night. I could, however, immediately tell that the glowsquid wasnt going to be a dynamic light source. Pretty obvious to me. Not surprised people believed it though.
@@theanonymous7221 which is redundant, because all that means is that you won't see it if you're underground/underwater. Yeah. Just back into Minecraft and yeaaahh the game sux. Literally just need mods at this point. There’s literally just so much stuff handed to them that still aren’t in the game. It’s pathetic.
I've always felt (in the past few years) like they, in a sense, rig the mob vote by making one mob seem much better then the other two, like in last years mob vote where only the allay really had any practical use while the glare and copper golem were pretty much useless.
The 2022 mob vote proved it's not based on usefulness but rather cuteness. Minecraft may not be a kids game, but it's the kids that are far more likely to vote. But yeah, I 100% believe they know exactly which one they'll be making. And they're not exactly transparent elections, are they?
@@Erkle64 compeletly disagree, I voted the sniffer because of the lore it would add into the game. Who wants a stupid little golem to hold stuff? And the rascal just sucked.
Ive constantly thought of an update called “Overworld Overhaul” which would be a huge update so I don’t mind it taking a long time, but it would also catch the game up on content in the overworld from lost contests, as well as a general revamp of foliage (trees, bushes, flowers, etc)
I always desperately wanted icelogger and boss blaze mob . I think they should add those. I have always hoped for a update with just dangerous ,strong, hostile mob vote. I think because 1.20 is not a specialized update, what about a "forgotten update" where they add previously mobs which have lost mob vote but were real good . And few biomes too.
I’d say they should stop doing the mob vote thingy. I get it, it is a way to get more interaction between the devs and the community but with all the postpone feature they have promised before… it would be a great idea to pack them all up and release it in a huge update, doesn’t matter how long it takes, we need the quality!
My biggest problem with the mob votes is that most of the mobs don't seem like the fit they game. Instead of adding animals like giraffes, ostriches, ducks, or grizzly bears they make us choose between weird monsters that look like they were taken from some mod.
Because just going “oh look, a cuckoo, lets add it to our game” doesn’t attract any attention. People want something new, something they might now have seen before.
New mobs with experimental designs open up new horizons to the game. It opens the possibilty of connected systems, creatures and such being expanded upon.
A bear would be a great idea as it would add a challenge to forests early game. Bears could be like early game wardens where they’re extremely hard to beat but possible to beat with enough hits and reward the player with lots of meat bones and leather. but a giraffe would add nothing to minecraft.
@@WhatIsMyPorpoise Id rather wait over a year and get couple of "boring" mobs than some useless flying blue thing... But Thanks God for Mod community, God Bless them!
My biggest issue is the lack of information on some of the mobs. Like this year the Sniffer won because the video essentially promised new flowers and not because of the mob itself while the Rascal and the Tuff Golem is just the mob itself and doesn't mention additional content... it's not a fair vote.
What I don't understand is how the community made all of the new biomes, 4 years ago. Like can't mojang just use some of there code to add it, or how is it so easy for mod devs to do it solo, and super quick when it takes mojang 4 years...
When Mojang makes another Minecraft Vote, here is an idea I'd like to see when doing the voting: [Voting for new mob] 1. Select one of the mobs that Mojang showcased you want to add in Minecraft 2. Select the mechanic of the mob (Mojang should give 3-5 options when it comes to mechanics) [Voting for new biome] 1. Select the biome 2. Select which mob/s you want to add with the selected biome (Mojang should give 5 options when it comes to mobs and pick the 2 mobs with the highest vote count) [Voting for new dimension (which would probably not happen but I am being optimistic here)] 1. Select the dimension 2. Select the biomes you want to add in that dimension (Mojang should give a least 5 biomes to pick from and the 2 biomes with the highest vote count should be implemented) 3. Select mobs for the dimension 4. Select a way of accessing the selected dimension
Genuinely cannot stand the way the mob vote is handled and every time it rolls around I just groan. They managed to make such a cool concept such a frustrating slog and the lack of communication from the devs is just the cherry on top.
I wish this video was positioned more as a "how Mojang could improve the mob vote" rather than having a big issue. I know it's a more interesting title and gets more views, but the whole video comes across so entitled, even though you had some really good points
I’m not really a fan of Mojangs pursuit of peace and love. I want combat, and I want to actually have a challenge. The warden is nice, but the fact that you’re not even meant to fight it, and that it’s hard to kill, and doesn’t drop anything, is a waste.
I legitimately think it would be really cool if Mojang took about a year to develops all the features that didn’t win and wrap them into a mega update called something like the “Love for Leftovers” update. They just add all the losers, a bunch of new items associated with the additions, and (hopefully) they would even include the 2017 mobs even though they said otherwise.
I think Mojang will update all of 3 biomes in 1.20 as all of these 3 are kind of warm biome. They even added camels which is a teaser of updating at least desert biome. Edit:- they didn't named 1.20 yet which is another reason for updating all of three of biomes.
I agree. Since most mobs in mob votes had specific themes, not all players would see the new mob frequently (example: if a cave mob won a mob vote, players who don't go underground much would almost never see the new mob). What I'm saying is it is a good idea to add all 3 mobs (if Mojang's able to) so that a wider variety of players can enjoy the distinct mobs, like how in 1.20 there was something for everyone to enjoy, from lore to customizing armor to exploring a brand new beautiful forest. I'm glad Mojang's learning from their past mistakes :D
i agree with a lot you are saying, some youtube said they should remove the votes entirely but that will destroy the whole reason Minecraft is still alive.
Many of the people I know who didn’t want this years winner in game didn’t even want to vote because before the vote even started everyone knew what was going to win
I think if we all knew what the glowsquid did (besides the fact that it doesnt even glow) it wouldnt have won. I still am super sad that the moobloom dint win. ITS SO CUTE. Useless, but cute. The fact that they present ideas for different mobs and then say "Well you get to vote for one, the other ones will probably never make it 👻" always striked me as odd. The idea of letting people decide on the mechanics would be waaay cooler.
I think the fundamental flaw in this video is the belief that they're being honest about planning to add all the mobs from the vote in eventually. I don't think there's ever been any intention of adding all three, hence why them being voted on at the concept stage before *any* actual development is done in game. That's something else I think they're unclear about, the fact that literally no work has been done on any of the mobs in the mob vote outside of their introduction video. And that's not me speculating that was their genuine answer as to why all three can't be added.
I like your videos for one thing, Controversial yet correct and straight to the point opinion. I love how you focus on the negative and positive side of things.
Biome votes should take over. Allow us to vote for a biome to be reworked or a new biome to be slapped on a next update. Add in new mechanics, items, mobs and features as part of a biome bundle.
they need to add mobs with specific special drops like a unique kind of sword maybe like the ill sword from the pillagers or the heart of the volcano which would be a red sword with a tier of fire aspect you could not normally achieve or maybe special magic weapon drops from certain enemys like a catalyst or a spell book and make these all with a small drop chance so it increases playtime but also gives more replay value. this magic system could have a new aoe attack with maybe 5 damage or a beam so it is a little different to the bow or maybe a staff where you could temporarily summon some friendly bees that attack enemys and maybe they could even add a mana system and talent trees and stuff like that and maybe even crossing over charecters. this would make it more engaging and entertaining whilst having lots of qol changes and making it easier to show of to your friends.
i votet for the tuff golem because if you vote for a mob like the allay you see from the last year everyone thinked it was possible to build nice farmes... and what is passed since this? nothing farms with the allay are not easy to build use much place and wont work. In think you are right we shoud be able to vote for abilitys not which mobs goes into game.
Thr thing that bugs me is that the mobvote seems a bit rickt by mojang themself. My example would be the newest mobvote. Mojang showed so much more about the sniffer. But what did we really see about the rascal or the Tuff Golem.
The glowing signs we can create with glow squid ink is nice. Though that they don’t actually glow is quite disappointing. Still though the mob vote feels bad by creating so many haves and have nots.
I honestly hate the biome votes, and the reason for that is because I think nearly every overworld biomes are flawed, lackluster and full off missed potential, and require some serious content updates as soon as possible. Voting on a biome that will get revamped sooner is just plain stupid in my opinion as in my eye, all of them need some serious content update urgently
I would much rather they updated structures - puzzles and traps and underground mazes for the Jungle/Desert temples, traps and rooms for the Mineshafts, and a new spawner room style. I really don't like the votes as (as mentioned in the video), other perfectly fine concepts and ideas are left on the cutting room floor so to speak. The ocean mob would be a great and terrifying update - but when we got the aquatic update, what did we get? Reskinned zombies.
Man I am even more mad that Ice Ravager and Flower Clows doesn’t added because of the Glowing Squid. What did Minecraft Community is thinking? Like, come on. I think the most useless creatures has to be the Glowing Squid. It doesn’t even gives off lights in the cave at all apart annoyance and Glowing sign that no one is going to use apart on some map creation where you can still able to code it in the game to make the sign glows anyway.
As I like to say, this year's vote is between: - an insect whose sole purpose is giving you seeds for a decorative plant (or multiple plants) - a tedious minigame with prizes of questionable usefulness - a walking item frame
I will keep defending my vote for the glow squid. The moobloom is just a cow and iceoleger only spawns in mountain biomes which you will rarely go to anyway. Glow squid is at least atmospheric and adds something to the aquafer caves.
I think Mojang is just trying to keep the game simple they’ve talked previously about trying to keep the game simple for newer players the more serious stuff they add the harder it is for new players to enjoy and not get over welled Please keep in mind this is just my opinion
I do not regret voting for glow squid. My vision was for a method to develop a new light source block that was much easier to hide/ blend. It didn’t happen it’s unfortunate but i feel no matter what was voted peoples visions of what itd be would always fall short.
Imo, it would be a good thing, that, let's say, every second or third vote would have an additional vote where you would vote for one of the not implemented things
the great hunger was turned into the grindstone the monster of the ocean depths was turned into magma blocks … i hope that the desert, savanna and badlands come in 1.21 as one update
Considering that they only add one mob either means that these mobs are somehow hard to add or they think that we actually like having one new mob and banishing the other 2 toi the shadow realm. If it's number 1 then why not just not do the mob vote and add something more important like making the game run better or since they really like building make a way so people can make any color dye using a dye vat or something that you put dye in to create another color. I feel like that's a better update then a mystery creature that smells dirt.
another way that the mob votes could get better is for the player to come up with a few types of mob (not specific just like for example we want something thats hostile and drops rare loots) and the top votes will go into the mob vote which will be picked again
With the reputation of the mob votes I'm starting to think voting for mobs is a bad idea for the future of Minecraft. Why? Well its simple, every time we vote for a certain mob we always look at what mob looks cool but we don't talk about stuff like, hey what will this mob serve for the game? That kind of thing. Lets look at the sniffer. People immediately took to reddit and other social media platforms to say hey vote for the sniffer because it gives us a new plant, the mob is cute and this mob has new lore. See what I mean? They look at what's cool about the mob but doesn't talks about what purpose it would serve for the game. Same thing goes for the Glow Squid and The Phantom (but to be fair back in 2017 The community didn't know much about the vote back then) but see how with those vote all focus on how the mob looks cool but not its purpose for the game? It kind of said a lot about what people look at when they vote for a mob. So for future votes I just don't see a point in voting for Mobs in a Minecraft poll no matter if its in game or on Twitter its the same outlook. So In my opinion I just don't see a point in Mojang doing these votes. They always steer controversy all the time with some accusing people of "rigging the vote" or some "RUclipsrs rigging the vote" or "Mojang them self's rigging the vote" at the end of the day its simple mobs in a block game steering controversy in the community that is making us fight with people we have in common with. I just don't see it as worth it in general. Plus why would we want to vote for mobs in a Minecraft poll on Twitter or in game if we can just get the mobs in the Updates themselves? Let me explain. Back during the Nether Update was getting realized to the community in that update they added Piglins and new Nether mobs without a poll to make the Update a stand out. Yes there was a mob vote during that update but it was not the main thing people loved the nether Update for. So with my explanation I want to know what do you guys think? Is the Mob Votes worth it? Or is it a distraction? I would like to know. I have ben apart of this community for over 11 years at this point. I have seen Minecraft rise and fall. So to see this unfold makes me sad to watch in 2022. Hopefully Mojang stops this and just makes the mobs in the updates instead of the polls they always try to make us apart of in Minecraft Live. But good vid Epic I enjoyed this to the end man.
The reasons they havn't added the changes for the older biomes is because they probally really wanted to do the swamp is they thought it will be fun and when it fun it easier to go through and imagine have many less features the desert biome would of got if it was in the last update it will of gotten barley any features.
I think mob votes should be done away with entirely. No matter what, you're going to upset some portion of the player base that lost, even if we end up with a cool mob. If mojang just released the mob they internally thought would be the coolest, I think overall the community sentiment would be much more positive since there's no division about winners or losers or teams
I feel like the mob vote is the bare minimum in terms of community involvement. There's zero transparency as to what the mobs will do, and they never feel like meaningful additions. I feel like it's a way of generating some publicity for a couple weeks and hyping yet another somewhat lackluster update instead of listening to actual community feedback.
fyi the squid does glow just because it doesnt light the area doesnt mean it isnt glowing. u can see it in the dark cant you? ok then. it also gives a reason to go back to caves in the late game otherwise id have no reason to go back down there
lets be honest, the Iceologer should have won but becuase of some obvious rigging by a certain green, smiling streamer and his friends we instead got a useless, stupid, doesn't even glow, useless(x2) ass squid
I'd really just like things like reinforced shulker shells (maybe using a netherite ingot, so it can't burn in lava) or being able to hold items like tools in your offhand for bedrock vers. I'd love to be able to build above the bedrock in the nether (bedrock vers) - last time I've actually to build up there it didn't let me, but that wss 1.16 so idkk if that's been changed 😓 I'd love backpack slot or an elytra slot so we can wear both a chestplate and elytra?
I feel Mojang has an issue with developing Minecraft in that they are trying to make the game appealing to, too many different groups of people. I feel like Mojang should try to focus on who the content is going to be for, and not make their content necessarily for everyone.
When i was watching a part od minecraft live , when someone was talking with jeb , in the end that guy asked him something and when jeb was answering , he didnt let him speak ans said something. It was odd and disreapectful.
I think all the mobs (except the Iceologer) in the mob votes aren’t anything cool. They’ll have like 1 or 2 uses and that’s it. Nothing special and nothing memorable. I prefer realism and simplicity to Minecraft rather than fantasy
I dont see why they cant add each mob with their simple uses. The players would instead vote for which get more added to them. Say the one that wins gets their own structure, wouldnt that be cool?
I'd trade all other mob votes just for a utility update, faster rendering for java, inventory revamp, and further experimentation on jebs combat update
@@ZaccoOfficial that's all they showed at Minecraft Live, but considering all of that is already in snapshots and they have another year to add things to the update, there's much more they can do in that time. They clearly stated that they were only showing things that were far in the development process and that more would be coming (because they didn't want to over-promise and under-deliver again).
In the introduction video, the phantom looked like a genuinely cool concept, so obviously the public voted for it. The problem was that Mojang fumbled hard on the execution.
I have never encountered a phantom unwillingly. I only had to deal with them when trying to get achievements. I don’t see why everyone hates them except for the fact that they are useless
To be honest, I kinda disagree on the very premise of a mob vote itself. A mob should be added because it furthers the gameplay, not because it won a vote. That goes for every feature in my opinion.
I disagree. I think letting the community decide does more good than harm especially since we don’t get useless mobs like the Copper Golem and the flying green thingy
@@toastfy the allay is also completely useless. it cant mine blocks. it can only pick up already grounded blocks. plus its annoying and hard to kill, personally. if i could, i would COMPLETELY UTTERLY REMOVE the allay,
Agree. I wish they did something like “Update Votes” where we would vote on the entire next update, or something like it so that we don’t have some random mob that has no reason to be there added
Having a non hostile mob underground wouldnt have hurt, and one that could locate any missing dark spawnable spots(if a dark build is your style) would have been appreciated more than you’d think. And companionship is something that minecraft desperately needs. Pets are companions but they are escessively fragile. Villagers are too precious, but also annoying. Having a mob that’s just around you, that’s doing its own thing is appreciated. The coppergolem was desired because itd be the first mob that could be baited over without you holding an item(other than villagers and the annoying mess of them pairing with job block you might have placed for decoration) and that could be given a purpose by the player. It would be a mob that could do things alongside the player instead of just doing a thing because the player forced it to happen. Tuff golem also made for a good companion, because it would be guaranteed to stay in an area. Villagers do that but once again, theyre annoying. A cute thing that just kinda hangs around you and STAYS around you without you having to herd it into a pen is more valuable then you’d expect.
I feel that they should do a rehash vote at this point, because as you stated a bunch of these mobs have interesting concepts. But they were never brought up again.
@@mustlovedragons8047 I think it would be better if they added the mob that didn't make it past the first round from the previous vote alongside the other three, and then have the end of the year be everything that wasn't voted for yet.
Yeah, and a structure update as well, because the jungle temple definitely needs one. Also addition of new structures would make exploring worthwhile in vanilla.
Unfortunately that limits it to at max 1 biome vote every 2 years, as they need to add all other biomes eventually I mean, they haven't even updated Savannah, Desert, or Badlands from past biome votes
Ilmango (from Scicraft and many other amazing series) made a tweet saying that he would be more interested on voting a block instead of a mob. Even if he said it because he's a specialist on making farms, I think he has a point
they sure made the taiga into an interesting and unique biome... except they didn't. they just added berries and foxes and forgot about it i feel like if they were trying to just update every biome at once, most of the new things would be just like that, boring when they focuse on specific features they can make those features more polished and interesting a good biome update would likely take multiple years to perfect and they want to update the game more regularly than that
@@mirailuv Yet modders make 10x the content at a higher quality in a fraction of the time. No reason we are getting halfbaked "major" updates only once a year (if lucky) that aren't even fully implemented. Does no one remember the frequency of updates we got pre Notch getting sick of MC.
My main issue this year was how unevenly stacked the mobs themselves were. 1. Rascal - a sort of fun hide and seek mini-game that could probably be farmed if it didn't only give sub-optimal rewards. 2. Tuff Golem - Portable Item Frame. 3. Sniffer - mob that gives new plants, meaning new building blocks for the thousands of builder Streamers/RUclipsrs out there. Ultimately I'm not surprised by the outcome this years vote.
It wasn’t as unbalanced as you’d think in terms of function. If you think function is what made the sniffer win, you’re sorely mistaken. First and foremost, it was cute. From then on people would make any kind of excuse to make it win. The rascal added an opportunity for a fun experience anywhere underground, reward notwithstanding. It could make you explore corners you could have otherwise missed. The golem was, if youll forgive my pun, badly framed. It was presented as an item display first and foremost. What people didn’t get is that that left the mobs purpose up to player interpretation. -Industrial build, have it sit in the seat of a machine, itll wander off on its paid breaktime. - waiter, its serving a table and moving between the tables otherwise. -in a dark alley, holdin sus stew. Its an impostor, run away. -and if its high up and cant pathfind, its just a statue. It merged “sentient robot” with “statue”.
Heck, put a pressure plate where it stands still. If it plays music, its a DJ. If a farm starts up, it be hard at work. It fulfilled the same niche as the copper golem. A mob other than you that randomly did stuff around the house without being forced to like a chicken in a box.

Finally an honest video, there's way too much forced positivity and excuse making around the Minecraft community when it comes to Mojang's decisions.
What do you mean you don’t like the new useless passive mobs that don’t drop anything being added into the game?
I wouldn't say it about cuteness. All of them were on the same level in that sense and the glow squid proved that cuteness doesn't matter.
@@Erkle64 compeletly disagree, I voted the sniffer because of the lore it would add into the game. Who wants a stupid little golem to hold stuff? And the rascal just sucked.
@@mtop9152 Ooh yes, gotta get me some of that lore. What can you craft with it?
@@willwh9228 thats fair
@@WhatIsMyPorpoise termites would be cool for a challenge and opens less destructive griefing
When Mojang makes another Minecraft Vote, here is an idea I'd like to see when doing the voting:
[Voting for new mob]
1. Select one of the mobs that Mojang showcased you want to add in Minecraft
2. Select the mechanic of the mob (Mojang should give 3-5 options when it comes to mechanics)
[Voting for new biome]
1. Select the biome
2. Select which mob/s you want to add with the selected biome (Mojang should give 5 options when it comes to mobs and pick the 2 mobs with the highest vote count)
[Voting for new dimension (which would probably not happen but I am being optimistic here)]
1. Select the dimension
2. Select the biomes you want to add in that dimension (Mojang should give a least 5 biomes to pick from and the 2 biomes with the highest vote count should be implemented)
3. Select mobs for the dimension
4. Select a way of accessing the selected dimension
The fact that Mojang's official server for their own game got hacked so easily is kind of a huge red flag...
they should make it so that the 2 other that didnt win just gets push to later update. not just deletes them
Genuinely cannot stand the way the mob vote is handled and every time it rolls around I just groan. They managed to make such a cool concept such a frustrating slog and the lack of communication from the devs is just the cherry on top.
Ok but how about a "taming vote" where you can vote for a pre-existing mob to be updated where they can be tamed now
if you fused the rascal and sniffer you'd get something that would resemble scp 682
I wish this video was positioned more as a "how Mojang could improve the mob vote" rather than having a big issue. I know it's a more interesting title and gets more views, but the whole video comes across so entitled, even though you had some really good points
I wish all the mobs were in the game. That would be so cool.
4:56 its funny how the rascal is just standing there and epic just throws cobble at him and he doesnt react
after notch left and microsoft buyed it, i think Minecraft just went downhill from there.
To be fair Mojang also promised superflat customization for Bedrock Edition 5 years ago, we still haven't seen it.
I think a lot of people didn't vote for the iceologer because they thought it would be too annoying so they voted for a passive mob.
The stupid thing is they added wildfire( the blaze boss) to minecraft dungeons
And the boss fight is good
I wish they add it to vanilla minecraft
Still annoyed that the glow squid won over something as cool as an Iceologer. So disappointing :/
I like your videos for one thing, Controversial yet correct and straight to the point opinion. I love how you focus on the negative and positive side of things.
it feels quite sad that every one has started trashing on mojang for a few small issues
I think that the misconception on how the allay worked fucked over the copper golem
I can confirm as being an Australian, the time zone for Minecraft live is bad. In fact I've never done one, just praying on which one will win
“Pretend this is a backpack” 💀
As I like to say, this year's vote is between:
- an insect whose sole purpose is giving you seeds for a decorative plant (or multiple plants)
- a tedious minigame with prizes of questionable usefulness
- a walking item frame
I will keep defending my vote for the glow squid. The moobloom is just a cow and iceoleger only spawns in mountain biomes which you will rarely go to anyway. Glow squid is at least atmospheric and adds something to the aquafer caves.
I think Mojang is just trying to keep the game simple they’ve talked previously about trying to keep the game simple for newer players the more serious stuff they add the harder it is for new players to enjoy and not get over welled
Please keep in mind this is just my opinion
I do not regret voting for glow squid. My vision was for a method to develop a new light source block that was much easier to hide/ blend. It didn’t happen it’s unfortunate but i feel no matter what was voted peoples visions of what itd be would always fall short.
Imo, it would be a good thing, that, let's say, every second or third vote would have an additional vote where you would vote for one of the not implemented things
I agree on the fact, that mobs nowadays are just boring and underwhelming. We get to choose the best one from three (average at it's best) mobs.
the great hunger was turned into the grindstone
the monster of the ocean depths was turned into magma blocks
…
i hope that the desert, savanna and badlands come in 1.21 as one update

I'll never forget the Rascal :.)
(Same with Copper Golem)
from zero to 40 seconds he just describes democracy
ironic, mojangs own server gets hacked the first day being up
mob votes are boring because after Lady Agnes became a Game Director we've had 3 useless and boring updates in a row and now we're getting 4th
the ice pillager was the coolest mob last year.
but the troll face and his twitter users had to choose the glow squid.
The reasons they havn't added the changes for the older biomes is because they probally really wanted to do the swamp is they thought it will be fun and when it fun it easier to go through and imagine have many less features the desert biome would of got if it was in the last update it will of gotten barley any features.
ima be honest: i dont want any of the mobs from the mob vote. They just dont really seem like “minecraft” mobs, idk
i will never forgive dream for giving us the stupid squid instead of the chad moobloom
Why can't they just add everything, we got mods bigger than the last few updates combined made by a tiny amount of people
I feel like the mob vote is the bare minimum in terms of community involvement. There's zero transparency as to what the mobs will do, and they never feel like meaningful additions. I feel like it's a way of generating some publicity for a couple weeks and hyping yet another somewhat lackluster update instead of listening to actual community feedback.
fyi the squid does glow just because it doesnt light the area doesnt mean it isnt glowing. u can see it in the dark cant you? ok then. it also gives a reason to go back to caves in the late game otherwise id have no reason to go back down there
The camel was leaked in the live so it would probably be a desert/ badlands update
Funny how people voted for the Allay but I only ever saw it on Bedrock and Never Ever in Java.
lets be honest, the Iceologer should have won but becuase of some obvious rigging by a certain green, smiling streamer and his friends we instead got a useless, stupid, doesn't even glow, useless(x2) ass squid
Wait your not supposed to turn the phantom off? I thought you were supposed to before anything when making a world even a name or seed
I'd really just like things like reinforced shulker shells (maybe using a netherite ingot, so it can't burn in lava) or being able to hold items like tools in your offhand for bedrock vers. I'd love to be able to build above the bedrock in the nether (bedrock vers) - last time I've actually to build up there it didn't let me, but that wss 1.16 so idkk if that's been changed 😓
I'd love backpack slot or an elytra slot so we can wear both a chestplate and elytra?
I totally agree with you but the glow squid did add glow ink sac which was quite cool for signs and glow item frame
I want all the mobs in the mob vote to be added it's really not fair for people who like other mobs that in their opinion is good
I genuinely hate community votes
Why dont they just wait a bit more each time and just add all of them instead of making people mad and adding less
Let's vote for big block that will sniff out seeds which we never use in Minecraft. Good idea 😀👍
boy this aged well
I feel Mojang has an issue with developing Minecraft in that they are trying to make the game appealing to, too many different groups of people. I feel like Mojang should try to focus on who the content is going to be for, and not make their content necessarily for everyone.
i think they should do re-votes
Example: Sniffer gets chosen as winning mob and then you can vote again so that if you really want it you get it
When i was watching a part od minecraft live , when someone was talking with jeb , in the end that guy asked him something and when jeb was answering , he didnt let him speak ans said something.
Mojang has millions of dollars yet can't compete with modders that code for free. This is why I don't play anymore. It just sucks.
Glowsquid is still goated for the glow item frames and signs alone
I'd trade all other mob votes just for a utility update, faster rendering for java, inventory revamp, and further experimentation on jebs combat update
This is what I've been wanting for a while now, just a bits & bobs update and better feature parity.

To be honest, I kinda disagree on the very premise of a mob vote itself. A mob should be added because it furthers the gameplay, not because it won a vote. That goes for every feature in my opinion.
Cute always wins. (The allay was cute, too.) People don't know what they want until they lose it.
Idea: Every mob vote includes the other mobs from the previous votes, and adds 3.
@@mustlovedragons8047 I think it would be better if they added the mob that didn't make it past the first round from the previous vote alongside the other three, and then have the end of the year be everything that wasn't voted for yet.
I honestly hope the bring back the biome vote because it was 100% the best type of vote.
Me too. Once they finish adding the stuff from the previous one, of course.
yes, all the biome vote options were great so pretty much everybody would benefit
Yeah, and a structure update as well, because the jungle temple definitely needs one. Also addition of new structures would make exploring worthwhile in vanilla.
I think there should be an update dedicated to updating every major biome, except for the ones just recently updated
Unfortunately that limits it to at max 1 biome vote every 2 years, as they need to add all other biomes eventually
I mean, they haven't even updated Savannah, Desert, or Badlands from past biome votes
Ilmango (from Scicraft and many other amazing series) made a tweet saying that he would be more interested on voting a block instead of a mob. Even if he said it because he's a specialist on making farms, I think he has a point
I feel like Minecraft should do a biome update, where they would add all the yet to be added updates like the desert, savanna, and badlands.
they sure made the taiga into an interesting and unique biome... except they didn't. they just added berries and foxes and forgot about it
i feel like if they were trying to just update every biome at once, most of the new things would be just like that, boring
when they focuse on specific features they can make those features more polished and interesting
a good biome update would likely take multiple years to perfect and they want to update the game more regularly than that
bundles *
Or just add all of the losers from mob votes as well
@@mirailuv Yet modders make 10x the content at a higher quality in a fraction of the time.
