During the entire existence of Minecraft, Mojang rejected many interesting ideas, and today we will look at them. We are talking about exactly those things that Mojang refused or the possibility adding of which was officially denied.

@@Gamelorianexactly. Initially parrots were given cookies by the player to take them. However, Mojang learned that this was actually poisonous and because millions of people play this game, people would think this action can be done in real life. To course correct, they made them poisonous.
People also learned that candles can be made from beeswax instead of earwax because of Minecraft.
With fireflies they showcased a "trailer" where frogs are them. They learned that this was poisonous. To course correct, they removed fireflies entirely. I suspect that this was done to allow everyone to forget about this feature and disassociate frogs from fireflies. Frogs were still added, so once players get used to the frogs for a few years, they will bring back the fireflies.

There is a mod named Serene Seasons which adds Spring(Normal), Summer(Normal), Autumn(Turns leaves orange), and Winter (basically makes the biomes snowy.)

I think a nature themed update surrounding this would be nice. Things like some new animals and ambient sounds would be nice. They hesitate on big updates because it could complicate the game, but this update would be mostly ambience and I think people would love that.

I like how some reasons for not adding something to the game was "it will limit creativity" while limiting creativity by not adding them
When frogs eat fireflies they get poisoned, but if they eat literal creatures made of lava and magma they don't INSTANTLY DIE?!

I think it’s something to do with children feeding frogs fireflies, these creatures made of lava do not exist realistically. It’s a game conditioned for all people I guess.

Ya they should have a farming style update where they can add things like corn, blueberry bushes, lettuce, deer, turkeys, scythes, and other farming/ranching/wilderness related mobs blocks and tools

The refusal of vertical slabs is so dumb. Also they don't have to add a ton of furniture but the least they could do is add a simple table and chair in the style of the doors and trapdoors. Mojang really be like "you want this? Too bad."

I think if a red dragon would be added, it'd go great in a Nether Fortress. Like in a secret room where it's trapped and protected by wither skeletons and blazes. It'd make them so much less boring.

@@Galaxy-en2iu That's the complaint everyone makes for basically every update "it doesn't fit the game", the warden didn't really fit the game and people complained about that until everyone got used to it.

You can loot furnaces, blast furnaces, smokers, smithing tables & more from a village within the first couple of days on a new world.
It seems odd that Mojang would single out the Anvil.
Mojang: We don’t want to add death to the game.
Mojang: Aquatic mobs die if they are out of water, parrots die with cookies, the player can also die.
I think they mean death that is completely unavoidable for the most part, so they dont want dying from old age as an example.

I think that this video sums up how much Minecraft has changed on the dev team. They don’t want death in their game, but they allow you to feed cookies to parrots and kill them. They also think spiders crawling up a wall is scary, and although it may be creepy, it doesn’t give me a heart attack like the Warden does. Anyways, I thought that this was a really interesting video, I hope that Kasser is able to gain a larger audience and make more content for us to enjoy!

@@roberthowardkunz5706It wasn't their idea, it was from a group of people who reported this problem to them, and Mojang by protecting the animals, they saw this as another opportunity to say "hey, we like that animals are not mistreated" but the players at the same time seeing the game they got angry, and not making them eat it was because the fireflies weren't officially there yet, it's not that they didn't want to
There are so many things in Minecraft Dungeons that can easily be added in normal Minecraft and would fit quite nicely. Don't you think!?

They don't make sense, dirt isn't compact in real life, unless it is dampened, and even if it were dampened, it doesn't last long and crumbles.

i wish they would add craftable backpacks. usually when i play survival, i don’t like building houses. i just live as a nomad. but as i play, i have to build a sort of base for all my stuff. if backpacks were in the picture, my survival experience would be SOOO much easier.

I think the tamable dragon could be your award for the dragon egg. They can be a fun alternative to the elytra to fly around with

We really need an atmospheric update.
Biome and cave background ambiance, updated sounds for footsteps and tools/menus, added tremors and shaking underground, water splashes, falling and waving leaves and grass, stuff like that.

They are wolves, not dogs. There's a difference. Through evolution, decades of wolves feed by food made by humans they got soft, not adapted to live in wild to the point of todays dogs.

Apparently hyenas can eat bones, but tbf mojang is very inconsistent with what they choose and don’t choose to add to the game, fireflies were removed as there’re harmful to frogs but not lava cubes? Spiders climbing is too scary but wardens, withers, endermen etc aren’t? Vertical slaps would limit creativity, proceeds to add wall, half slab, stair variants to most building blocks
Yeah, minecraft looks to be set in the 16 or 17 hundreds, they had mining helmets then. Even if it was just a normal helmet with a tourch on it

Ok taking anvils from villages is like taking a brewing stand from villages, plus anvils aren’t usable properly until you get enchantment tables and its the same with potion making, not functional until nether. Mojang needs to rethink some things. Also no voice chat is a no for me, we have discord for that.
Them removing fireflies still makes me mad and it felt like they were grasping for straws just to appease a handful of people.

removing the fireflies prematurely was due to 2 factors:
+ were not officially in the snapshots
+ there was a group of people who reported the firefly issue to Mojang and they agreed
so comparing fireflies with parrots is quite silly since they are different cases, the parrots were already added but the change was for the same reason, they were informed that parrots cannot eat chocolate cookies, but since they are already added they changed it for seeds, with the fireflies not being added to the game because the change was to directly remove them
Irl Parrots can avoid eating chocolate unless you force them to eat chocolate.
And frogs are stupid enough to eat Fireflies.

I compared the frogs eating fireflies to parrots eating cookies cause it’s kinda the same story: fireflies are poisonous to frogs; chocolate is poisonous to parrots. I was just saying it’s silly if that was their only excuse for removing fireflies from the game when they could’ve kept them and not have frogs eat them like they did with the parrots.

I like to think to add dragons, they could create a new dungeon like an abandoned castle or a dragon lair in caves. The dragons that spawn in the dragon lair could be untamable and hostile, but killing it would leave behind a dragon egg which would hatch into a tamale baby dragon.

I still think the firefly cancellation over that was an excuse. It was cancelled because of the lag caused by the entity and lighting updates it caused.
Yeah because games with smooth textures and greater shaped models run way better than their blocky pixel game

Well ideas, and just possibilities which surely are await by many (though to use it to it's fullest we would have to get possibility of placing objects with half a block ofset from the grid - like double door at the middle of building which has odd weidth or to simplyfy - in the middle of 3x3 tunel (either only on horyzontal line or even alo vertical).
Frankly I even once had an idea to but some kind of elven wooden gate... but sideways to make a perfect demonstration of how well the vertical slabs could work (didn't do it yet though)
yes, I wanted to build some real life buildings, but my creativity was limited by no vertical slabs. So I gave up and didn’t play Minecraft for a year, well done mojang.

Regarding pigman, it's actually a suggestion by a user named Micleee which Notch liked and rewarded the user with Bacon cape (which was taken away because other players wanted personal capes), Pigman doesn't get implemented as the idea got replaced by Villagers which was added in Beta 1.9.
Tbh, you should've done a better research with these instead of giving an incomplete description and history.
P.S: Also the Pigman was not related to the failed pig which became the Creeper, like at all. HOW ON EARTH DID YOU MESS UP YOUR RESEARCH THIS BAD?? WITH CHATGPT??

I think there are some good points made, but the video does a couple of things wrong:
1st: It uses mods / mock-ups from other peoples videos and mods without giving credit, but also making it seem like it's actually part of the game (just give credit to whoever made the mod)
2nd: You says Mojang won't do a certain idea in the game and instead dislikes the idea WITHOUT ever showing a tweet, comment, or even proof that this opinion has been said from Mojang. An example of this is at 7:00 where YOU say the development was DELAYED, although Dinerbone STATES it was NEVER promised so that's just clear misinformation you're spreading one way or another
Lastly, this video isn't meant to be rude or harmful, I'm just pointing out some click-baiting things you've put in the video and some points I think people should be aware of when trying to get ACCURATE information! Going forward please make sure to get the correct information out there and to not try to push a certain agenda of yours, but to just be clear!!

I just want new weapons don’t care if they do the same damage as a sword and the same enchantments I just want new weapons to shake it up
I was thinking about that Red Dragon Idea: why not make it a rare, tamable mob that comes in dozens of colorations? The Dragon would look similar to the Ender Dragon, except it would walk and fly in either form of travel. It could also have numerous melee attacks, like a bite or a swipe attack. The latter would be swiping entities with its claws, dealing a massive amount of damage. It would be a really powerful mount to add to the game, but that's exactly why I think it should be a very rare one. Just like the Dragons we're used to, these tamable Dragons would breathe fire.

Mojang can fr be braindead. You can literally recreate the Atlantic slave trade with villagers yet they got rid of fireflies because they didn’t want frogs eating them????
Geniuenly feels like Mojang has a lot of weird and kind of silly rules tbh. Their excuse for not having painted wood is that they just don't want to do all the slabs and stairs for some reason, their reasoning for no sideways slabs is "it limits creativity", and their reasoning for not having handheld torch is probably just "erm we want you to place torches"

"We didn't want to add death to our game" so remove cookies, remove weapons, remove bows, remove hostile mobs, remove the ability to damage mobs & players, make everything invincible, remove hunger and food (don't need food if there's no hunger), remove bosses, mobs that are Agro to each other, etc.
Imagine an update that lets all mods from diffrent versions all work on the latest version, that would be dope

My Iron farm running on a collection of 60 villagers, over 26k blocks, 9 Pools of lava, 34 chests, 67 hoppera, 21 dispensers, 200 blocks of ice, several layers of glass and the death of hundreds and thousands of iron golems:

The calm4.ogg will be a good idea and it should be played in night time while you are fighting with mobs
I have a HUUGE feeling that the next big update might be farming, since most people would probably just want to enjoy the farming aspect of minecraft instead, hopefully one day because farming and having farm animals on mc is already fun enough

Mining helmet will never be added to the game due to it being too modern while there's a spelunker armor in minecraft dungeons which literally consists of a helmet with a candle sticked onto it

The reasons for not adding fireflies and vertical slabs is absurd.
They say they don't want to add death, but mobs attack each other on a regular basis (Foxes attacking chickens for example), and the frogs eat Magma Cubes too. One could argue that a scolding hot magma cube would also kill a frog. On top of that, the game is based around killing things: for food, to defend yourself, to complete the game. Or don't have the frogs eat fireflies if that's a problem.
They say that slabs would damage creativity, but players would have more possibilities with vertical slabs. Players would have more creative freedom.
Time and time again, they say no to a feature, and give a reason that doesn't make any sense or contradicts something they've already done.
I honestly think that furniture is better suited for mods/addons. I kind of understand how adding furniture would lead to lack of creativity.
If they add furniture, most people would use those instead of thinking outside of the box. I've seen a lot of furniture builds in Minecraft using the limited blocks that the game has to offer, and they are more creative and innovative than those modded/addon furniture.
Same goes to colored wood since it would lead to a lot of players using 1 type of wood and would care less about biomes.
Limitations has its strengths and weaknesses, and I have to agree with that. Yeah, it would mean less variety but it opens to a lot of innovative and out side of the box ideas, improving your creativity and imagination.
That's why I would still use stairs, signs, doors, item frames, and trapdoors to make chairs since I find it to me more creative and would test my innovative skills and creativity rather than a preset furniture.
But that's my opinion and thought process. I'm sure I'm not pleasing everyone but I welcome you to refute me.

Colored wood could work, and mojang could add things to the biomes, (ahem savanna, and every other biome...) to make them worth visiting
