Sounds promising! I'm always interested in fast, lightweight, non-plated trainers like the Mach 6, Rebel 4, Adidas SL2 and the likes. This one seems to fit in nicely there.
@@madmantronixx7998 The Peg 41 has working well for me as, due to a left foot ankle/Achilles issue, I have been looking more to a relatively more supportive standard daily trainer that is also good for walking as well as some relatively easy running. I am not too bothered about "performance" right now. Think this Peg Plus is sort of in the middle. No question the Plus is a "performance" trainer however and probably not the best for slow easy runs. Fundamentally it probably comes down to which brand you prefer. If you liked the previous Peg Turbos then I feel you ought to like the Plus as on testing for this Shorts vid, the feeling between the Plus and the original Turbo seemed similar to me.
Ah so did you decide not to buy them? Definitely think the Peg Plus aka Turbo is more for "daily" training but it is proving to be a good all rounder and I can go faster in it if try to do so.
@TimGrose no Tim. I put them back on the shelves 😹, can't find where to put them in my rotation and they didn't wow me. Comfy and nice, but so is my old Vomero 17.
We've known there's two main types of "ZoomX" for a long time: 1. The top-end PEBA (VF/AF) 2. The cheaper, "rubbery" TPE (Invincible, Peg Turbo, etc) Classic confusing/intentionally deceptive marketing from these companies
Think it would work fine as a tempo shoe. Very similar to the original version and that (and also the Turbo 2) was a shoe I sometimes went a bit faster in.
Thanks for this Tim, one of the few people who have a working pair of the originals . Possibly modern turbo has actually been firmed up ? ( just thinking how you stated it feels close to the same as the mixed original sole)
Was somewhat amazed my original Turbos still felt good despite over 500 miles on them. Done 4.5 miles in the Plus tonight. Due to recent injury wasn’t too fast but was “fun” as EddBud. I still think not much in it between these and originals.

SL2 will take some beating this year.
Yes they are all of a similar class for sure. I think it comes down to fit and feel and, dare I say, which brand/shoe most resonates with you.
@@madmantronixx7998 certainly on price but that's not necessarily most important.
@@TimGrose do you like the feel of the Peg for bounce/fit/feel over SL2? Looking forward to your full review.

I just tried the Peg Turbo 4 at the shop, definitely thicker, softer and heavier. The ZoomX feels and looks different from the VPF ZoomX materials

Interested to see what youll think of it! I’m hoping I can get these as a sort of tempo shoe
