I haven’t truly run in the Pegasus since the 31, a shoe that I loved so much that I put close to 750 miles in and wore until they were a biohazard for anyone unfortunate enough to be in the same room with it. I wish the stack height in the Pegasus wasn’t so high but that is also the general standard in the running industry. Another good review Ben, and I totally agree on the Vomero compared to the Pegasus
The is a perfect review. One point that I think is especially insightful is that the price point for the Pegasus is now going to be competing with shoes, like the Mach 6 and Novablast, that are far superior running shoes. You really know your stuff.
Really appreciate that you mentioned the Peg can be for advanced runners who also want to feel the ground again. I know my feet were a tad sore after the first few runs in the 41s (ran in Pegs for many years when I first started running but stopped in recent years due to Cushlon and React foams), meaning I definitely can benefit from feet strengthening. The balance you get from the Pegs is great. You know where your feet are and don’t have to think about it. For their intended use case, they’re fabulous. Great review as always.
Nike comes out with a nice update to the Pegasus, then Adidas drops the AdiZero SL2, which in my opinion is a massively better daily trainer. Similar stack heights, lighter, LS Pro foam and a much softer LS carrier foam. Its fun, can do all sorts of paces... I felt both on at the running store near by and went with the AdiZero SL2 because it felt so much better and its cheaper.

Your point on the price is really interesting. I can't think of any reason to choose this over an NB4 which seems like a way better shoe. I'm not even sure I can think of a reason to pick it over a Velocity Nitro 3 which is way cheaper.
I love the Volt colorway, but it sounds like I won’t be getting this as a training shoe. You said it, tight competition at that price. Pegs go on pretty steep discount so maybe at end of season, as a casual use shoe. Sadly I doubt I’ll be able to get the volt by then.

Hi Ben,I’m a typical Chinese dude in Singapore who likes running and I’ve to say from your channel I’ve learn a lot for choosing my running shoes..I used to run in Hoka Mach 5,Saucony Endorphin Speed 3 and Saucony Guide 15. Today I just purchased Craft Pacer and Asics Novablast 4. May I know what’s your opinion in these 2 running shoes?
Glad to hear they’ve improved a bit. Honestly the Nike Pegasus 40 was so bad I don’t think I’ll ever buy them again - especially at that price. Those mid soles were brutal and they’re extremely stiff around the ankles. They’re not terrible, but they’re also not particularly good at anything. Sprints? Nope. Long distance? Nope. Maybe if you’re just running a few miles here and there, but at that point you can get far cheaper shoes.
Bruh, same here. I had Pegasus 38s and idolised them. After they ran out of steam I kept them just to walk around in them. They still look okay, especially if you smooth out the wrinkles with a hairdryer. But then I bought a 39 and it was a disaster. I've never had a more dead and boring shoe. I am now the happy owner of 3 pairs of Novablast 3s and one pair of incredible, springy, comfortable, unmissable Nimbus 26.

I tried the SL2 and Peg 41 on at my local running shoe store here in the US. I find the AdiZero SL2 so much better. If you have overpronation problems, probably go with the Pegasus. If you have wider feet, the Pegasus will fit better. The SL2 is lighter, softer, bouncier, and more breathable... and cheaper. I wouldnt put the Pegasus in the same category as the Mach 6, Rebel V4, or Novablast 4, but I would the SL2. I ended up buying the SL2, BTW.

Vomero comfort peaked with the 12’s and the 13’s. Got weird and wouldn’t last after those. Bought the old ones when they were out. Prices went way up and quality went down.
Durable grip heeh. Pegasus 40 rubber fell of in a few chucks from undereat the shoe. He is not running a lot of runs but just running around as an 11 year old kid is and using it every day for a few months.
Nike can’t seem to make any decent running shoes other than the utterly brilliant AF and VF. I can run any distance or speed in the AF1 and 2’s. Looking forward to the AF3’s. Great review Ben. I’ve been out in your brilliant hats and shirt this last week. Superb quality and design and a note from your mum 👌. Thanks, from Australia.
This increasing cushioning and price trend I’ve been seeing is really annoying i really liked the previous versions because of that more minimal feel they were always in store cheap and good for everything i guess I’m going for the previous models on sale now
New Balance 100%. Only brand where I don't need to size up or order wide in but even then they offer wides and extra wide 2E+. Second I would also check out Altra but only if you have strong ankles/calves as they have low drop from heel to toe
Brooks Divide 4 work well for wide feet but it's a trail shoe. I also like the Brooks Ghost Max and the Adidas Ultraboost 22. Those are my heavy rotation shoes.
Tbh I kinda regret buying it at full price. At its price there alot of much better shoes. It's too all-around to be a good choice at something. Even as a versatile running shoes novablast 4, adidas sl2, puma velocity nitro 3 would be a much better choice. 2 things that I can think this excels compared to other are: - Looks and feels great as casual walking shoes (I got the black-white one). - More versatile for other than running.
Agree. It is a great result trainer but it's not a shoe 3 someone should buy as a"dating wear shoes" as it has no lateral support.. Could town one into a pronator. Live it if Nike made this a stability shoe

Anyway, I was having trouble choosing a shoe in nike segments. at first Pegasus 41 caught my eyes specially the teal colorway, but as I do my research it says that Vomero 17 is way way better than Peg41. Any suggestion between the 2? I do think that any of the two would be a huge upgrade compare to my non running shoe. please enlighten me
I had some bad heal slip issues in the Rebel v4.. but it was a great shoe otherwise. All these shoes are probably better than the pegasus if you're looking for a pure running shoe.
For the last few years the Pegasus has been my GADA show that I would take on holidays. Speed, easy and trails. I never felt there was another show that could handle all of that (especially the trails). Do you think the 41 is still capable of that?
I had the peg 40s, great casual shoe but really dissapointed running in it. Not interested at all in buying the new model. I'm someone who does almost all my running in the same shoes, from training to marathon. Cant afford to have a big rotation At this stage and I stick with models such as the Novablast for a good all-rounder.
Right. I really wanted to love this but SL2 can handle faster pace , much lighter , and better sandwiched LS pro / LS 2.0 than reactX so I went to SL2 . But for $64 I might pickup this soon and will use it as a lifestyle shoes.
I’ve never bought a running shoe before. I’m looking between the Hoka Mach, Pegasus, and Novablast from ASICS. I’m not sure which one to buy. Anyone have any opinions?
is this a decent walking shoe? need something cushioned for walking the dawwg. Was thinking of going with this or waiting for peg premium or the new invincible 4 if ever released!!
Vomero 17 incomparably better. 1080 v13(880 if prefer firmer), invincible 3, trail 4....all much better than pegasus 41. In the end, any other famous shoe will be better

Would you go with this, the Vomero, or scrape together the little bit extra and go for the Invincible 3?
If I was buying a shoe for purely running then the Vomero.
Vomero comfort peaked with the 12’s and the 13’s. Got weird and wouldn’t last after those. Bought the old ones when they were out. Prices went way up and quality went down.
Fantastic all round trainers this year, Pegasus and the SL2 really all you need
Thoughts on that high heel level?
I don't want any chafing when wearing no-show socks.
Durable grip heeh. Pegasus 40 rubber fell of in a few chucks from undereat the shoe. He is not running a lot of runs but just running around as an 11 year old kid is and using it every day for a few months.
33,6/22,2 mm. This is the real stack height!
I didn't expect to see the turia in Valencia in one of your review videos!!
Such a lovely place to run!
This increasing cushioning and price trend I’ve been seeing is really annoying i really liked the previous versions because of that more minimal feel they were always in store cheap and good for everything i guess I’m going for the previous models on sale now
I heard these are good for weightlifting, in that they're so heavy you can use them as dumbbells in a pinch.
I'm just waiting for the Peg 40's to get to the Nike Outlet store here in London 😭😭
Although I did pick up the 39's for £70 last week.
I bought my Peg 40's from Nike website in my country last November for 68€, on Black Friday sales.
Please suggest which is best running shoes for Beginners: Nike winflo 11 or Brooks glycerin 21 or asics gel nimbus 25?
This shose is good for 2.5km and for 3km enyone recommend plz ???
Question please Ben: when you film yourself with the hand held for races etc what camera do you use please?
GoPro Hero.
Amazing review one of the best on RUclips
Cool. Will pick them up when they go on sale. There are some super deals on the 40s now
No thanks on that boring ancient react foam. 😂
i cant use ANY nike, they are too narrow, i am a wide fit (E) and i dont know whats the best shoes for wide feet?
These have an extra wide option
New Balance 100%. Only brand where I don't need to size up or order wide in but even then they offer wides and extra wide 2E+. Second I would also check out Altra but only if you have strong ankles/calves as they have low drop from heel to toe
Brooks Divide 4 work well for wide feet but it's a trail shoe. I also like the Brooks Ghost Max and the Adidas Ultraboost 22. Those are my heavy rotation shoes.
I bought a pair of Puma Velocity Nitro 3 in Wide fit, and they are great.
7.10 for daily, what would you say is best one atm?
Ben possibly hard to say, do you honk the Pegasus 41’s would be decent fr the winter months thanks to
They usually do a winter version of the pegasus.. so keep an eye out for that if they make a new one later this year.
Try the PEG Trail 5, reactX and even lighter, great upper
Tbh I kinda regret buying it at full price. At its price there alot of much better shoes. It's too all-around to be a good choice at something. Even as a versatile running shoes novablast 4, adidas sl2, puma velocity nitro 3 would be a much better choice.
2 things that I can think this excels compared to other are:
- Looks and feels great as casual walking shoes (I got the black-white one).
- More versatile for other than running.
Agree. It is a great result trainer but it's not a shoe 3 someone should buy as a"dating wear shoes" as it has no lateral support.. Could town one into a pronator. Live it if Nike made this a stability shoe
Hello Ben, As a new to running I want to buy a nike shoes. and why nike? i know there are better options but someone gave me 100 usd GC. Anyway, I was having trouble choosing a shoe in nike segments. at first Pegasus 41 caught my eyes specially the teal colorway, but as I do my research it says that Vomero 17 is way way better than Peg41. Any suggestion between the 2? I do think that any of the two would be a huge upgrade compare to my non running shoe. please enlighten me
Ben hughs from Brazil! In your opinion the Rebel V4,is much better than pegasus 41, novablast 4 and hoka mach 6?
I had some bad heal slip issues in the Rebel v4.. but it was a great shoe otherwise. All these shoes are probably better than the pegasus if you're looking for a pure running shoe.
Great review Ben, Can't wait for a Pegasus Turbo!! 🚀
Better trainer than the infinity run?
Great review Ben, will give it a miss and wait to see what you think of the turbo plus
For the last few years the Pegasus has been my GADA show that I would take on holidays. Speed, easy and trails. I never felt there was another show that could handle all of that (especially the trails). Do you think the 41 is still capable of that?
Brooks Ghost has been that shoe for me.
should i buy this for my first running shoes(pls reply me)
Hey, just confirm structure 25 or Pegasus 41
These shoes are useless without those matching socks.
i need those matching socks
What you need is another bright clashing color to really make them pop!
Hitting the Nike Clearance Store ASAP 😁😭
Buying the peg 39, 40 ? No thanks 😊
this is $64 now on nike app 😁
I always take it with the grain of salt when youtuber rewiews gifted shoes. Luckily you go with own money which make you way more reliable
Amazing review ❤
Great timing, yesterday my wife told me she was looking to replace her Pegasus...uses? Pegusi?
Pegs' ?
I will give these a miss. The adidas sl2 seem like they offer everything the Pegasus 41 do and more for a more affordable packaged.
Anyone have any opinions?
which shoe is better asics
nova blast 4 or nike Pegasus 41?
Dont know m8 i dont run
how would you compare to ASICS superblast?
Got these. Theyre amazing
is this a decent walking shoe? need something cushioned for walking the dawwg. Was thinking of going with this or waiting for peg premium or the new invincible 4 if ever released!!
Great walker, They are super comfortable and the heel is really well cushioned, supportive
Vomero 17 incomparably better. 1080 v13(880 if prefer firmer), invincible 3, trail 4....all much better than pegasus 41. In the end, any other famous shoe will be better
For walking? Idk about incomparable when it comes to value for a walking shoe. Also really good looking, if you ask me. @@gogigp
Hi
I want a comfi sable shoes for my long time work. I need to use this shoe for years. Any reccomendtion?
Is 41 good for long use for few years?
Also my budjet maximum is about 130 to 150&
For the love of god please don't pay $140 for Nike Pegasus, there are so much better shoes for your money. Theres a reason why these get discounted
You know the worst thing for me is, although I love my Nike Pegasus shoes I have had over the years, you can never buy a fresh insole from Nike from what I have seen, they are forcing you to buy a new shoe basically.
0:40 -> Valencia’s bus station on your left
How does it compare to the Nike Invincible 3s?
I measure an 11 on the brannock scale would you recommend a men’s 11 or 11.5 to use an orthotics in the shore?
Wow just saw Nike post on IG and I searched for a review - nice job on the super fast content 😂👏
Can you do a video of foot care for ultras? Anti blister products hints and tips 👍🏻
I'll take the Velocity Nitro over the Pegasus any day of the week.
NB4 all day
Do you recommend running in shorts or tights?
Underwear
Will you review the Peg trail 5?
what do you do with all the shoes???
I am sold For $10 cheaper on the Pegasus 41 over the mach 6 , novablast 4. 😊 Nike is it ✅👍
I hope available in full black for everyday office use
