Amtrak Adirondack 69 Stored Bypassed By Amtrak Ethan Allen Express 290 At Saratoga Springs

Well this is something that we don’t see every day in Saratoga springs today. When I first met up with couple of my railfan friends In Mechanicville we saw red signals but there was no trains coming and that’s how I can tell on the scanner there’s not any sounds from it and I went to the west end of the yard on zim smith trail and there were no signals there at all which that tells me that there probably doing signal testing which then I went to Waite road in Clifton park around the ballston lake burnt hills area and there was still nothing then I went to Saratoga springs and we saw Amtrak Adirondack 69 with a P32AC-DM instead of a P42DC like they use for the Adirondack but couldin’t tell what the road number was, just stored there by turning it around at the wye at Saratoga springs yard since it wasn’t going to Montreal do to track work on the Canadian subdivision on at the border & there was also a storm coming too, which it made me think that with the passengers just standing there waiting, there was an issue, but next I thought it was an Ethan Allen express waiting for another locomotive to couple to it but when I heard the horn from the distance Ethan Allen express 290 came & they all climbed on board and those were the only two trains I saw today on Memorial Day today!
