    Have you tried the M2C carbon motor mount ?
    I'm using the carbon mount on my trucks and it seems perfect, no bending or slipping so far and it's been bashed pretty hard. I was straightening my old mount after every use.
    The CRCU mount is the same price in the UK once the postage by each company is added on. I Wondered if 1 is any better than the other if you've tried both ?

    Nice video and great information... .. . I just picked this vehicle up and I'm swapping it out to brushless while watching this video. I'll have to keep an eye on the motor plate/mount. Thanks for the heads up!!!!! Happy New Year 🎉!!!

      Thank you.
      I'm glad you found it informative.
      I also have a maintenence Playlist for the mt10. I cover diffs, shocks and other modifications. Link below to that Playlist.

    Great man! Are you using stock motor and esc?

    • @captaincouldverc
      @captaincouldverc  2 месяца назад

      No stock electronics. I have a hobbywing combo.
      It's the old NON SENSORED hobbywing max10sct combo with the 3660/3200kv combo.
      The new quicrun 10bl120g2 is basically the exact same combo.
      It's 4s capable, but I prefer the car on 3s. When you put this car on 4s it makes it unreliable and uncontrollable.
      Even on 3s with taller gearing, I have hard time keeping driveshafts intact.

      @@captaincouldverc ah okay! Looks like you could do tripple backflips on some of the bowl transfers! Im thinking of buying a mt10 and put a max10g2 140a and a 3665 3200kv motor and both sensored. Might do it this week. Heard many people say that when using the mt10 on 4s it becomes much more fragile due to the weight. Granite seems to be ok on 4s so mt10 should but idk. Will start on 3s and then we will see. What upgrades should I focus on right out of the box? I will get the motor mount and thinking of replacing arms with rpm as they break. Any other upgrades i should do right out of the box?

      @t3floz
      Aluminum motor mount, arms and a remote+receiver would be my very first suggestions especially with that combo cause that motor is heavy.
      The stock remote is glitchy and has a bad a delay.
      Would also recommend replacing the motor mount screw with a 5mm shorter screw plus a castle-lock washer and remove that spring. This will give it a more secure clamping force on the mount, making it more difficult to shift and ruin gear mesh.

    ringside is typically on the left, both front and back. hey do the Kaiju EXT parts fit on the MT10?

    • @captaincouldverc
      @captaincouldverc  9 месяцев назад +1

      No sir. I've already tried. Those parts just are a larger scaled version of it. Almost exactly scaled up.
      However, many traxxas Hoss parts are "LOOKING" like they will fit.
      I've got shocks, shock towers and driveshafts coming for future videos.

      As soon as he restocks I'll drop a video and link everywhere I can.

      @@captaincouldverc heh, I am waiting for my freebie from M2C (the carbon fibre on) because I contacted them with the idea and helped them with the design a little because they did not have the truck at hand. They promised me one many months ago, time for an email😂
      The M2C one is a bit different, the motor holes are aligned with the adjustment hooks because in the original design the holes are in the narrowest part of the mount.

      Atleast it's free 😆
      Personally I wouldn't trust a small slice of 3mm CF to handle the job of a motor mount. Carbon fiber doesn't have the structural rigidity needed for a piece like this.
      For a peice of CF to handle the load required in the nt10, it would need to be at minimum 5mm thick, and then it wouldn't fit.

      @@captaincouldverc could be, I don't know much about materials. I do believe, though, that it is stronger than the original part which is not even a machined part, just some stamped kind of piece of very porous aluminium:D
      If the carbon one fails I'll get one of them 7075 CNC machined goodies for sure. Actually two because I have the Pro4 and MT10

      I only know cause I'm in the process of opening a CF manufacturing company. That's why I never made a video on it. I made one and verified for myself it will not work for most bashers on the mt10.
      If you have Facebook, you can go search the mt10 page for the m2c mount failing.
      The common complaint is with the bigger power systems, it just bends when you hit the throttle on 3s+
      The piece from crcu isn't like the potmetal stock one. It's machined from 7075 billet aluminum. Very little porosity.
