Hi, Diana! It's me again :D I live in Russia and there are so many problems with doctors who just don't know what HIV is, or even if they know it doesn't solve the problem with the stigma and rejecting. Your videos help me a lot with my way through accepting myself as HIV+. And not only because you're talking right things and things that would help with understanding HIV, but you're helping at least with your positivity and accepting. It's so heartwarming when I hear that someone accepting me even if I do not. So much love
Hi Yogg Nagosh! First of all, congratulations for your first comment in English section of youtube, even doing this step, you're already becoming a more brave person and this is already a step towards acceptance! I really recommend to watch these youtube series in Russian, there is a very inspiring HIV+ character in a few episodes ruclips.net/video/cEwumufVnhU/видео.html
Hey hey again! I can't even imagine what that must be like with doctors who don't know much about it.. that sounds rough :( stay strong though! I just want to say you're already doing a great job by realizing you need to accept yourself. Like I said, it's a journey and don't be too hard on yourself if it takes a while and if you make mistakes along the way because you are only human
In romantic relationship people accept you with emotion decision. Later people get exhausted eventually because being relationship with hiv positive is complicated.you need to take lots of precaution which is not natural.slowly they willl you alone because love changes with time.
I currently think that in order to be on an equal playing field with someone I want to be in a relationship with, I have to have proportionally good qualities to outweigh the HIV especially since the HIV is my fault. You can't control that you were born with HIV but many people can say I am simply unintelligent, broken by trauma, or all these sex and gender based slurs because I got HIV sexually. So that means I need to change myself drastically before I can accept that I am HIV positive and forgive myself and the person who gave it to me, and forgive the entire world and cause and effect throughout history for shaping me into a person who could have this experience.
Hey Hannah again :) Yes, one can look at it that way, you have to "compensate" for your HIV status. I'd like to think that we actually just have to shift the focus from HIV to all our redeeming qualities. I used to feel like HIV is my "only" defining factor, but there's so much more! And it wasn't until I accepted myself that others were able to see me for who I truly am. And with the way you contracted it puh... I know it must be difficult because it feels like something you could've "avoided". A hard truth of life is sometimes just letting go of things out of our control and choosing happiness.. easier said than done
You're so smart, kind and completely right about what you just said in this video, and in many others I've had the luck to watch. Just last week a wonderful person gave up on me because I said I'm positive but undetectable for more than one year now. This shouldn't be a big deal as long as I stick with medications...such a shame...kisses&hugs by Pete.
Hey Pete -- just seeing your comment now! Man that's such a bummer to hear that a wonderful person decided to let HIV be a reason to say goodbye to you :/ I hope since then you've healed ,and either that person came back after thinking about it or you found someone else who can appreciate and love you the way you are 😊❤
Your content is so helpful! My sister work in a Military hospital, and her field is taking care of hiv people. My sister told me that most of the people that get hiv, don't accept it well. However, They think the life is over for them. Although there is a lot of information, people still feel very scared about hiv. In my country, people are still very prejudiced, and this is sad, because many people hide it through judgement. I love your point of view! It's the best to get over, and live well❤
They probably already do, do you think they would actually release it instead of making you pay for those daily pills, not a chance, even if they did it would probably be way too expensive for everyday people
The way of thinking you talk about in the beginning is my way of thinking: "why would this person want me if they can have this other one", except I'm not HIV+, I have cerebral palsy and I'm a wheelchair user (which is, of course totally different, since it's very visible, I don't have to announce it). I am definitely insecure as you said ^^
Yeah definitely, it’s not fun that we think this way and we put ourselves down because of it :/ It’s a process but telling yourself that, no I’m actually an awesome person with so much to offer, helps. Also, don’t let the cerebral palsy define you, but rather let the good things about you be the defining factors of why someone wants to be with you and they will see that too 😊💕
My youtube autoplay was going and your video popped up. You seem super sweet and informative, I'm going to sub! I wish you the best in life and keep uploading!
You’re such an amazing person. I recently started watching your videos and they’ve been helping me cope with everything. I was recently diagnosed and I have been in a dark foggy mist ever since and I’m grateful for countries such as Germany who are ready to accept hiv positive people. I’m only 22 and moving to further my studies in February and as much I’m happy I’m also very nervous. Thank you. Would love to get some more advice from you.
Getting that HIV diagnosis is an incredibly painful hardship to overdone so give yourself time and you’ll get to acceptance eventually :) many don’t know this but it did take me over 10 years I would say to fully accept it.. Cool you’re going to be moving to Germany! 100% can recommend, it’s been really nice and accepting here (work place wise and partner wise) so far. Curious where you’re coming from them.. Yes I’ll try to put more out here regarding my experiences :)
@@dianakoss2686 Thank you for your reply. I appreciate creators that are interactive with their viewers. I’ll subscribe definitely to your channel after sending this reply. I would be glad to share my story with you. It’s a funny one, one that in theory would merit a “suicide attempt” but I’ve been so courageous. I’m originally Ghanaian. I’ve done so much of my research on Berlin and Hiv association and I already know I’m going to be very impressed by the time I arrive. The only thing I wish I had covered was at least A2 of the language before arriving. Once again thank you 🙏🏾 you made me feel like a life’s worth living despite a clinical diagnosis.

Cool to have someone else born with it and also 25! Though sorry to hear about your parents :( but yes, feel free to email me (you can find it on my youtube channel)
