Congratulations on your award, very well deserved. Going to a new location this weekend and the weather is now changing to a more moody one. Can’t wait to see what we get.
Perfect timing Mads!! I have a beach just like this near me and on a moody day went there. With lockdown, no one was around. I could take my time as you seem to do in your videos, waiting. I'm learning a lot and it helped so much more that day than if I had not paid attention to your videos. Thank you. Congratulations on the Silver Award!!! Marilyn
Well deserved recognition of the 100,000subscriber Mads, your vids along with Nigel's and Gavin's (him of the 'appropriate' footwear!) are the ones I most enjoy and learn from.
Congratulations for the 100 thousand, thank you teacher with each video I learn (or at least I try) photography but it also forces me to make an effort with my weak English, thank you, thank you very much for your teachings.
Had some unpredictable spring weather here in Scotland too Mads, even had snow again in some parts of the country. You certainly captured the drama of the day and especially liked the images of the wooden walkway. Great to see you receiving your Silver play button too, it is so well deserved
Congratulations on 100,000, Mads! Your videos are always incredibly inspirational. That smile on your face whilst in the field, camera by your side is always amazing to see. Excellent work as always. I look forward to your future videos.
Shooting in bad weather is amazing! I found some of my most compelling photos in this weather! Thanks a lot Mads for sharing:) Best wishes from Uruguay! Congratulations as well !!!! :) :)
Many congratulations on your award Mads, richly deserved. As always another great video. "Moody" weather is one of the best times to get out, great clouds & light. Keep up the good work. Weather in East Anglia STILL cold - it's the middle of May!!
How do you chose what gear to bring with you on your hikes? Do you bring multiple lenses in fear of not getting a shot because you left the gear back home? Or do you take one lens and try to get the best of it?
I love your images from Denmark Mads. It's a realistic goal for me, as I'm never going to get to Iceland or the other places you travel to. Inspiring to see photos from Bønnerup Strand. I was there yesterday, but with the dog, not my camera! The gear's going with me next time TV2 vejr promise showers though! :)
I had already taken several sky photos, to be used for sky replacement in Luminar. But, did not edit them yet. Then, watched your edit tip. So I tried it with Luminar and a couple of the sky photos. It worked great, so now I have skies taken in same shooting, but with different levels of darkness. Thank you
I have a lovely Olympus OM D camera sitting gathering dust… after watching this video I just got motivated to get out again and image… thanks it was brilliant Incidentally are Micro 4/3 format of any use for landscape photography
I loved the image of the wood pier heading into infinity with the moody clouds! I am not that dedicated to going out into the rain and especially risking my camera and lenses! Great work!
Congrats on the 100K mark. What I've learnt the most, apart from the photography skills, is to just get out whenever possible in all conditions to give yourself the best chance of getting great shots.
Great video. Coincidentally I ended up on the beach in a thunderstorm yesterday before I saw this video and even captured some forked lightening that I didn’t see but that was in one photo. I am going to try your tip for making the clouds pop even more , up until now I had just been using a touch of dehaze
100,000!! Wow, well done Mads, richly deserved for all your hard work. Another inspirational video with great tips. I like how you keep it simple, many thanks...
Well done!!! Many congratulations to you. We always love your enthusiasm for photography and your videos are always a centerpiece for our learning. Because where we live is moody quite a lot I want to use this tutorial as a base for learning this style.
Fabulous, as always. Thanks for the clouds tip, I must make some time to try this. I use Lr, not Ps, but see no reason why it would not work there too, with a gradient filter. Congratulations on getting the silver button, it's great to see this acknowledgement of your popularity.
Congratulations on the RUclips award Mads. You deserve it. Your photography is inspirational and your RUclips videos are my #1 for photography. One question: you don’t need protection for your camera in the rain? I have a Nikon D850 and I would not trust it in the rain unprotected.
nice shots, always worth getting out in the rain, as a bonus, less people around :D, you should make a similar video for midday shooting... i just went to Dragør beach, the lovely sunlight ruined all my shots :D, was expected thou, unfortunately for many people this is the timeframe they can get out and about, would be awesome with some tips :D.
Mads, I am a relatively new viewer to your channel. What impresses me most is your enthusiasm and the consistent quality of your content. I am wondering if you have in your plans to talk about how you manage your photography collection. I am looking for a system whereby I can log my collection in a manner that my images can be cross-referenced. For example image_005 is a horizontal format of a barn with dramatic clouds; how do I cross reference it so that I know that image has dramatic clouds; that image is suitable for use in calendar publication and also as an image for an article about the importance of supporting your local farmers (ie editorial use)? Do you have a favourite tool for managing that?
If it gets too wet in the field I usually have a cloth to dry it and when I get home I dry it with a towel and leave it be until it has room temperature :)
Thanks for the reply, Mads. Also meant to say that I love the way you say “moody”! And thanks for the video, I’m in NE Scotland...also unseasonal “moody” weather!
A great, informative video. Thanks a lot for this. May I ask you which backpack do you use in this video? Lowepro 350 or 450? I would like to buy one too, but I'm still unsure of the size.
Really like the last picture with the man versus the cloud, great tension. Also gratulation for the button, one of the most interesting channels for landscape photography. Keep going 👌
As always, I've enjoyed your video and found it informative. I've noticed that you are shooting with Sony A7R3 in the rain. I was under an impression that Sonys are not well weatherproof and was wondering if you had any issues. Thank you.
Congratulations Mads Peter Iversen on your always very informative videos, I wanted to ask you how do you fight the blur especially when there is a lot of wind ? thank you
@@MadsPeterIversen sorry I didn't understand correctly or maybe I explained myself badly, obviously with image stabilization or fast shutter speeds you avoid blur, but using ND filters with very long exposures it is a real problem to get the camera stable so I was hoping for concrete help
Congratulations on finally getting your silver button Mads, even if it’s late. Moody clouds for sure, although I preferred the final shot you showed without the person. That’s just my choice. Was the tide way out at the time you were there ? Nothing like a little Spring rain 🌧. Stay safe Mads 😷🇦🇺
You can tell photographers who grew up in the digital age by indicating an aperture of f14. Lol. That is f11-1/2 on a lens barrel! Ie f2, f4, f5.6, f11, f16, f22, etc. Another great video Mads!
Hej Mads Peter tusind tak for dine fede videos - jeg har netop købt et brugt Sony A7R2 og lærer en masse fra dine film. Jeg vil helt sikkert følge dig som min foretrukne læremester !
I love moody, overcast and severe weather. And I thought the same thing as you until one day I was almost struck by lightning at 1500m altitude :D ⚡️⚡️⚡️
The 'darkening clouds' tip has just transformed my photos! Thank you so much!
Congratulations on your award, very well deserved. Going to a new location this weekend and the weather is now changing to a more moody one. Can’t wait to see what we get.
A truly great day - for ducks and photographers!
I love shooting in bad weather. The light is amazing in those sudden special moments. Congratulations on the award. Truly deserved!
Thanks a lot, Dom!
I envy you. I live in California. We have no clouds - just boring blue sky. Great video. Thanks.
As I've said before, one of the top three photographers on RUclips. Outstanding image maker..
Thank you so much, Nigel! Means a lot as there are some excellent photographers here!
@@MadsPeterIversen credit where credits due Mads.
Great video!! Thank you! Congrats on reaching over 100k. Would love to see that photo behind you at the end!
Looks like beautiful warm sunny Spring weather there. Congrats on the award. You deserve it.
Well done Mads. Well deserved!!

Amazing as always!
Well done getting over 100k, you deserve this so much. A great photographer I enjoy watching and learning from.
Thank you so much, Sarah!
Mads ... great video and fantastic photos! AND my biggest "nugget" from it was how to darken the clouds so they look natural! Loved it. Thanks again!
Love your unpretentious way of sharing your talents. And your photography is fantastic!

I have to say you have a great eye and vision for composition; pressing the shutter button is the easy part of the whole process.
Thank you, Bruce! It is indeed :)
this is my favorite style of photography. So beautiful scenes.
Your videos are always informative and entertaining. This looks like a good genre to try.

good and informative video. thanks
Congrats Mads. 👏👏👏👏👏👏You are my favourite photographer. I love your moody shots and how you process them. I learn so much from you. 👍👍👍👍👍
Congrats Mads !! In Texas we call that sleet. Hail breaks car windows here.
Haha yeah, there are some wordings which are a bit different because in Denmark sleet seems to be that intermediate state between snow and rain :)

Good advise to plan a shoot in the future . The clouds will be in position.
How did you manage to keep the front of the lens, clear of rain drops.

Beautiful image ❤ thank you for sharing , we seem to have missed spring here in Scotland too or it hasn't arrived yet 😁
Great stuff, Mads, some lovely atmospheric shots in there 👍🏻 Congratulations on the 100K too
Do you find that two stops is best for exposure bracketing? I usually use only +/- 1 stop.
It depends on your camera and the scene, but yes, the +/-2 is generally my go-to setting. Turned out, I didn't need it ;)
Congratulations on getting the silver plaque, well deserved! Nice tip on the blending mode.

Hi John, thanks a lot for the kind comment. In all honesty, no, I don't have such a system... Not even sure if I can point you in a certain direction.
Can I ask how you care for your camera after being out in heavy rain please? I’m always so worried about getting my Sony wet...
