HOW I USED MY AVATA TO CHASE A TRAIN - CINEMATIC

- After reviewing the footage from this flight there are so many things I would do differently. Id use a steeper camera angle and get myself in a position where I could chase the train for longer!
I will go back and do it again!! But for now... this is my best effort.

My god this is the best content on the net right now!
Absolutely cracking Vlog production, my whole family watch with me 👍
Thanks for sharing your adventures with us 🤝
Effin brilliant 🔥🔥🔥
Hey mate, thanks so much! 😊. Its good to hear ... as I quite often get a bit fed up with making videos for you tube. Kinda go through phases. How's the weather been down your way today? Its been amazing up here... but I'm having a bit of time off the sticks at the mo
@@FPV-TV419 yeah it’s absolutely blazing down ere mate ☀️
I hear you, constantly having to shell out 💵 as well with fpv doesn’t help the endorphins either 😩
Think I’m about to need to step away a little too for a break 👍🤝😎
Great video! You really kept your cool, man.
Nice shot, also with the steam 👍(is that the right word?😂)
Thanks 😁... yea id have liked to have got a bit closer tbh ... but always next time I suppose ha
Awesome!
Thanks dude 😊
great shot EXERCISE. lines are great, looking fwd. lower proximity and angle at the start . Great job !
Yea there's a few things I'd have done differently for sure. It's not till you watch it back and think... damn... not exactly what I was hoping for
Awesome video
Thanks!😊
Amazing clip mate!
Thanks man! ☺️
Great video 👍 Final clip turned out really good 🚃
Thanks man 😊. I will definitely go back and do better. Even though it was only supposed to be one clip, it was a bit short. If I go in the next field I think I can follow the train for longer next time!
Hi! I understand you very well, it's not easy to set up good shots with the train in motion. My experience with the Dji Mini 3 Pro has also been very exciting, in a very short time you have to be able to do everything with a lot of risk. A few days before I made an inspection to study the movements well and above all to check the strength of the signal. Luckily I was able to follow him for about 1.2km, it was fantastic! On my channel you will find the result of my experience, chasing a historic steam train. I'd love to hear your opinion 😅 Soon I will repeat the experience with Dji Avata, I'm already excited! 🤙
Great video!
Thanks dude 😊. Would have like a better end result. But I'll try again soon!
@@FPV-TV419 I’m always late chasing the train too. Don’t feel bad lol
Brilliant video!! I've been tying to chase a steamer across Ribblehead Viaduct for a few years now but keep missing them.
My 3.5 upgrade arrives tomorrow from AxisFlying, any tips for the upgrade? I build custom fpv quads so OK with soldering.
Hi, thank 😊. I guess I might be a bit late for any tips on the axis avata build... did you do it?
that was perfect. It would've looked even better if came out of the little bride entry at 8:42.
Thanks dude. Yea I didn't even notice that until i watched it back... but your right it would have looked awesome if I could incorporate that bridge somehow
Hi! Were wondering where you'd get you prop guard? Seeing its not the original and might be better for manuallmode and flips.
It's the axis flying 3.5 conversion kit 👌
Rad flying looked pretty awesome nice try
Thanks man. Yea I thought it looked better when I was actually flying 🤣. Was just a bit slow, and a bit short
do you get the motor overload warning when riipping with the avata 3.5? been getting a lot of it just in simple power loops and cant figure out if it is going to cause me to fall out of the sky or if its ok to just ignore it
I do get them... but they have only ever made it go to rth mode once... and that was when I was full speed testing and held the throttle flat out for about 5 seconds. Any other time they have popped up in the display its never caused any issues.
@@FPV-TV419 good to know and thanks for the reply. have you done a rip session of freestyle or have flown it pretty normal?
How do I get my avata to go faster than 30 mph with the DJI fpv remote controller 2? I’ve placed in Manual Mode but still can’t get passed 30mph. 😢
Hi, I can only assume after everything you've just told me... that your not running your camera angle high enough? Or somehow set max speed ... but I dont even know if you can set max speed on the avata, I don't think you can
@@FPV-TV419 max speed can’t be set in manual and yep I have even changed the camera angle, but no speed increase. I’m guessing it has to do with the rate settings?
I noticed the sheep, did you need to get prior permission to fly from farmers land?
I'd very little chance of finding the owner as there's no farms near this field at all. However the gate was unlocked, and there were no keep out signs (if any of these had been the case I definitely wouldn't go in there). However if the farmer turned up I would respectfully apologise and offer to leave immediately. Its an area extremely popular with walkers and many footpaths, so I doubt I'm the only person to walk down there to watch the train come past.
How is your battery time?
It's definitely less than the stock avata, but still respectable. A good 10 minutes of cruising
Is that in manual mode? I'm having wait less them 10 min and my battery get hot 🥵
@Alex Rangel yea 10 mins if cruising in manual, maybe 7 or 8 if pushing it. But the battery does get pretty warm!
You'd likely get less battery life in N and S mode too.
Nice video! I have a similar one I thought you might enjoy. I shot this across the road from my house..I also did a "practice run" and, like you, after the locomotive passed by, the race was on...I started (in Sport mode) at an elevation of 25 meters.. By the time I lost the train I was about 400 meters away hovering just above the railroad tracks in pitch darkness. Thanks to RTH I flew right back.
Fly safe!
