Its a really awesome shot, but its going to be a while before FPV replaces helicopter in many things, if it ever does, and its never going to replace cameras on rails etc. FPV to me seems more of an additional tool for insanely good cinematography in challenging locations than a replacement to anything else...

As an FPV drone pilot and MTB rider i really enjoyed this. It was an impressive accomplishment and i am very excited to see that big names like RedBull are recognizing the power of the fpv drones. Everyone did an excelent job, cant wait to see more of this.
Here I was expecting this to be clickbait... but this is actually the most spectacular drone footage I've ever seen. It makes it clearer how insanely talented the rider is too.
Watching the footage was truly a jaw-dropping experience. Combined with the awesome sound design, the skills of the FPV pilot are mind-blowing. I also love that you showed the preparation of the event, along with all the challenges you faced. Even after all the issues and stress, you managed to put together this piece of art. I can definitely agree with the title of the video. This is the best FPV shot I've ever seen.
I’ve been watching these race videos for years now and the first person views were extraordinary. But this Friné chase footage just takes it to another extreme level showing not only the bikers wild skills. But the drone pilots maneuvering and following skills as well. Well done!

I'd take this shot over the Berlin. The cut cut of the Berlin shot kinda spoiled the true shine of FPV drones for me. FPV shots are epic when done in a single take.

I've been flying FPV since 2013 and let me tell you this is extremely amazing on so many levels. telephone wires are invisible when unsung analogue like he is. Any powerful wifi signal could mess up a 5.8 video link. Freaking awesome.
Do you have any ideas on how they tackled the sound? I'm assuming they can just capture from the biker and that's how we can't hear the drone but I'm not 100% sure, then they sync it up with the drone footage and add wind effects?
It's quite strange that what is being filmed is as important as how that got filmed. A documentary of how things are filmed without the fakes would be a video seen by millions if not billions. Why? The difficulty of getting things done is a feat on itself. The story behind the construction is always an interesting tale to tell.
yea cool and all, but it's not like we live in 2005 anymore, these guys had enough budget to put some antennas capable of relaying the signal along the path... But making the problem more difficult than it is is more profitable I guess.
I am blown away! That cyclist is special. The Aryton Senna of bikes. Props to the drone pilot too. Top skill for the cyclist and the drone pilot. No death risk by the pilot.
Insane skill by everyone, footage is amazing. Sections of that course are so tight it's amazing these guys can squeeze through at such high speeds with wide bars.

I absolutely love downhill mountain biking, but these street courses will always be on another level. And the drone flying- absolutely incredible. I've seen formula drift drone pilots but nothing like this. Amazing work by everyone, Redbull included for putting this whole thing together. Awesome

Two very, very different types of athletes working side-by-side. Both show impressive skills in their field. I was on the edge of my seat on both their expenses.
The sound designer on this, is a hero too, it is not obvious when you watch it, but imagine the amount of drone noise there was in recording, most likely the whole sound you are hearing is not recorded on spot, but rather built from fragment of sound effects and samples.
@@MineServersSKCZ You would hear nothing but the 2.5" props screaming at thousands of RPM's. That's all you hear on a drone. In the final clip you can hear the same whistle blowing at the same pitch all the way down. Also the volume level does not change when he flies up 30' to get the show of the turn. It's not a nock on the sound editor but it's what has to be done. They did a great job matching the peddling and roof sounds.

@@Noah_7s DJI FPV system has very bad latency when you go long range, and with analog, you can crank up the VTX power to 1W or 2W, which can't be done on DJI. Look at the folks who really push the range/penetration limits, you will see they all use analog for super long range.
@@manwithadream2043 i havent read the other comments but i would guess it comes down to speed. digital data needs to be processed, it takes time to convert analog signals into digital data. analog data is instantaneous.

You would be correct... All the sounds has to be added in or recorded separately or else you would hear the drone over everything.

@@manwithadream2043 i havent read the other comments but i would guess it comes down to speed. digital data needs to be processed, it takes time to convert analog signals into digital data. analog data is instantaneous.
