- I had a chance to train with Kyle Lamb and Surefire's new Turbo series of lights. I learned a lot of tip and tricks that I will be sharing with my viewers in a night series of filming.

A dream of mine to meet Kyle. Definitely an amazing operator and patriot. Congrats!
It was a really honor to meet and work with Kyle. He was a pleasure to meet in person.
Hear me out just pay SIG or Viking Tactics and go to his class bro...........
So glad you invested in the camera equipment and ask the other goodies you recently picked up. You video quality is rivaling the extremely large channels and small movie productions. Definitely made your content much more professional. Not that your butt the most professional RUclipsr, but your video production wasn't. It is now!!!!
Thanks Bryan. I think the audio quality has really upped the bar for the channel. It seems many content creators decided to take the plunge and buy new equipment for recording this year. Rick, Kenny, and Elster just to name a few. Thanks for watching.
Such a helpful demonstration- the heavy fog actually did a phenomenal job of showing how that finer beam really penetrates.
Thanks Ireilly. The fog really helped to show the beam patterns. Glad I did that last night. Thank you for watching .
Soaked in every minute. A wealth of information. Now to apply this and train.
Having had multiple random cars approach my driveway at night with tinted windows, I remember the fear of not knowing what's happening behind that tinted glass as you approach still haunts me. Personally, ill start carrying high candella torches
Thanks Kenny. Very useful information for your region for sure.
oh dang! styx for sharing!
Great Video Ray!
Thanks Jordan! I appreciate all of the support. I hope you have a great week and enjoy your vacation.
Great demonstration. Thanks.
Thanks Last Caress. Will try to do a little better with the footage on the follow up series. This is the first time I tried filming at night.
Thanks again Ray great stuff. 👍👍👍
Thank you and thanks for watching and commenting Jeremy.

Thank you Hope! There is a lot of good information if people take the time watch the video all the way to the end. There will be a much more to this series.
@@XRING I'm glad to hear that I carry a light every day and that cord trick is awesome
Great job on this video and have a happy new year
Thank you Nathan. I hope you and your family have a happy new year as well.
I like how you addressed the issue of the switch being really difficult to flip on and off. I also resorted to the thumb press method with the support hand. I got the x300 turbo last year and absolutely love the beam pattern and throw of the light.
Good stuff Ray!!
Thanks Jason and thank for watching and commenting .
Unbelievable video as always.
Love your videos from Ireland 🇮🇪
Thank you Daniel and thank you for watching the channel. I hope you have a happy new year in 2023.
Great Job, Thanks Brother
Thanks Big J. I hope you have New Year sir!
Way cool! Looks like I need a turbo
Happy new year. Looks like an amazing class. I recognize some faces in the lineup. I need to carry a light more often. I’ve got a tlr6 on my edc but its not very powerful. Thanks for sharing your skills!
Very GREAT info!!
Thank ya
Happy New Year!
Thank you Daniel I appreciate it. I hope you and yours have a happy new year as well.
Very Impressive!!!
Thanks Brandon!
Best facility (and training program) in middle Tennessee. Their ability to set up and simulate an office/home environment and teach active intruder/shooter training is fantastic. I had a membership there before moving to Knoxville. Prefect explanation of the differences in illumination descriptives.
For sure Insight! Very unique facility with a great staff. Thank you for watching.
Been to Royal range many times great place very nice people
Very nice facility for sure. I was definitely impressed with what all they have to offer.
Great Video Ray
Happy New Year 🎉
Thanks oddtodd. I hope you have a happy new year as well.
You guys are just sooo lucky having all these facilities plus pistols and semi auto ar 15’s. This side of the pond 22lr semi auto rifles and 22lr pistols with a 12” barrel and a 12” coat hanger out the back ☹️🇬🇧 love the channel
Thanks for watching and commenting farring. We are very fortunate for sure. I sincerely hope we can continue to have these freedoms.
Quite a few familiar faces in that video,.. bet that was quite the blast to attend.
Cool, great info 🇺🇸 America first.
Thanks victor and thank you for watching the channel.
👍
On my new p322 I put a light on it. When suppressed I can shoot all night without bothering the neighbors. It might not be perfect but I can definitely practice light techniques like that, especially since the switches on my edc are the exact same as the 322.
Absolutely phenomenal video bro . Kyle is an awesome instructor . I took VTAC class about 10 years and holy rusted metal batman was it filled with information.
I used SF for 12+ years . I still use SF for Pistol WML . I have the X300U I bought when they first came out . I for sure need to pick up the Turbo . That Candella is game changing. I was using SF 600 series for Carbine but ultimately switched to Cloud Owl and Rein Micro.
I believe both of those Cloud lights are 60k Candella. The new Reins are 100k candella . Weltool make makes a pretty insane Candella WML that works with all SF bodies and lights . Its honestly the best choice if you are wanting to build out a light to your specs for Carbine .
Either way bro thanks for sharing and what an awesome video . This is well worth watching . Hope you had an awesome holiday and happy new year
Thank you Sean and thank you for providing the additional information about the Cloud and Rein lights. I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment on the video. Have a great week! 👍🏼
@@XRING To clarify Cloud Defensive makes the Rein / ReinMicro Sorry my grammar skills arent all that great because I have very limited vocabulary lol..
Proud to carry my E2D defender tactical every day.
Good stuff! Thanks! Gotta check out those DG switches…
Thank You Sir! This information share and demonstration is valuable! I tried the Rogers hold with my edc polymer stiletto. I can activate the light with my thumb tip or knuckle but not with the base of my thumb palm area. I am interested in the under trigger guard switch. 👍🇺🇸
As a flashlight builder as a hobby surefire has been way behind on there lights the stream light HL has blowed them out the water for a long time and olight has been over them both in my opinion never had one problem with either a guy i know has built the x300 for years and made them what they should be maybe they finally got with Charles and made a good light 😮
I really like that pressure switch that goes under the trigger guard on the handgun... I've never really liked having to use my support hand thumb because you have to break the grip you work so hard perfecting so I've always used my trigger finger and delt with with the negatives you talked about. Really good video can't wait on the carbine light video!!!
Consider using your trigger finger. You can turn the light on while building your grip. Plus you’d have to use your trigger finger if you were using strong hand only. Consistency is cool
@@joshuafreeman4459 that's what I said I do... I use my trigger finger turn the light on then kick it off with my trigger finger but it is true with surefire it's really easy to skip the off position and turn it back on. That said that's not an issue with streamlight all the way up is only momentary but I like surefire more so I've just delt with minor inconvenience.
@@DanielBoone337 I don’t know how I missed that. My bad!
@@joshuafreeman4459 LOL all good brother take care!!
Thanks user-pp. It will definitely be a good series when I find the time to keep it on track. Still have a lot of filming to do. Thank you for watching.
I’m actually waiting for Cloud Defensive to come out with their pistol weapon light. Their Rein just punches through every condition while still having situational spill.
Wish you would have showed the knots used to add the 550 cord to the flashlight...
Hey Bryan. We just did the best we could with the knots and just melted the tails.
Did surefire say anything when they plan to release the rifle version of the turbo? They said they were going to back in like August
Just a heads up I been using those DG switches for years now there is holster issues when you put those on I have ruined a couple switches because the holsters drag on the let’s call it heat shrink type material they use on the part that goes under the trigger Guard and peels it off and or some holsters like a safari land ones need to be modded to fit it. It’s holsters dependent so not all do this but just a heads up they are a great option.
Great information and thank you for commenting on this. I forgot to mention it in the video.
3:05 re: a man should have on their person at all times is missing a multi-tool. So that makes 5. But further down my comment, I elaborate and consider two extra steps and make it 7.
Cash is excellent because not every situation can take cards. A light can mean the difference between life-and-death in even daily things like crossing a street at night. A knife is used often enough in day-to-day task to carry. I agree 100% on handgun concealed carry in a responsible manner.
A multi-tool is important because it is impractical to carry a huge tool-box everywhere, and is convenient to have high-frequency-use tools such as screwdrivers and pliers ready-to-go without running to a toolbox/vehicle.
A less-lethal tool is also a good idea for situations that don't need deadly force, but need force to deter physical harm. For jurisdictions where firearm carry is illegal or extremely-restricted, less-lethal tools are better than no self-defense tools. For jurisdictions where all defensive tools are illegal, they just gotta be resourceful.
An often-overlooked thing to carry is a small bleeding kit. An ambulance will almost certainly not arrive in the 2-5 minutes it can take for a profusely-bleeding patient to lose enough blood to no longer survive. If you take up the responsibility to carry a deadly-force tool in defense of yourself and others, you should also consider having the medical gear to help those you also wish to defend from threats. A full-on EMS bag is excessive to keep on your person at all times. At a minimum a pair of gloves, a GOOD tourniquet (see TCCC-recommended ones for candidates to buy) and packing gauze (hemostatic gauze is better but significantly more-costly) will suffice for a basic bleeding set meant to address life-threatening bleeding.
Can you show the method you've used to put bungee on handheld? Thanks
What’s up ray! What are your thoughts on the larue predatobr in 7.62 as a LRPR?
I have a Glock 23 gen 5 what dg switch do I need and big fan of the channel I go to big Ivy quite a bit hope we can meet one day
are you able to make a video about your personal career? are you law enforcement?
Querstion: Does having a high candela beam cause night blindness after the light turns off?!
Hey Hugo! I hope you have been well and had a great Christmas and New Year. This question was actually brought up during the training and no one noticed any difference in recovery times comparing one vs. the other.
Edc: phone (has a light), metal pen, cash, knife
When will these trainings be useful in America ?
Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.
Score
Sootch would have shot those hoods.
Streamlight has had those "dg" switches for years
For sure rezdog. I just don't think many people know about them.
