Bro you scared the crap outta me. I thought you got hosed for a second 😂.
I was gonna say...where you find that light for $250. And that's the rub...the price makes the streetlight hard to beat...plus the color options are better bc they have a tan and a brown.
Now you have to add the streamlight TLR-7 hl-x and compare it to these two. 👍
The surefire looks like the flashlight they give you in horror games, all beam no flood
If you own a surefire x300t, you’ll come to find out that the switch is also a pressure pad. All you gotta do press forward on the switch. It’s so stiff so it doesn’t knock back down and turns itself off when you’re shooting. SUREFIRE HAS A PRESSURE SWITCH.
Sure fire, don’t toggle, push forward.
People have a really hard time reading instructions. Surefire has always done the momentary push, toggle for constant on. Everyone then gets upset when they cannot use a momentary mode when trying to toggle it. This was by design so you wouldn’t accidentally activate a constant on function in a high stress situation.
I also run mine with the DG switch. StreamLight also offers pressure switch for theirs, but it is stiffer and more difficult to operate.
One thing that got overlooked, mainly for duty use, is the fact that the new Turbo model will allow you to punch through a windshield and still clearly see the occupants of a vehicle (even if they have their headlights on glaring in your face). The X300 Ultra and the TLR won’t accomplish that nearly as well.
That sure fire is about 2 and a half man-inches longer than the streamlight
TLR1 HL for 6 years now, no regrets. Perfect for a service pistol. Maybe in a rural area the x300 might be a little more appealing but even then, that would be a matter of using the pistol to get to the rifle.
TLR1 HL gets it done, period.
this may be an unpopular opinion, but if were talking the 1000 lumen x300 vs the tlr1 hl, the tlr1 hl wins 100% of the time. the construction and material on both are rock solid, but in my opinion, the switches on the streamlight are better, and it drives me absolutely nuts that the x300 goes beyond the muzzle on almost all guns, and the tlr1 hl is usually flush. its an aesthetic thing more than a functional thing, but it still makes my eye twitch.
I think it looks better before I used to line flush smaller weapon lights but Lowkey Tlr1 gives it a good look x300 does stick out a shit load tho
The light being in front means your not gonna get carbon all over the light and if you have to press the gun into someone or something it won't go out of battery.
*But* you have to carry that thang. And the x300 huuge
Streamtlight all day, I can buy three for the cost of the surefire and I would rather have the flood, if you need to worry about a 100 yards out then you should be using a long gun
TLR-1 HL are selling for $130-150 online everywhere. Even Amazon has it. Price to performance, they are much better than the x300!
@@assclapper2231almost 100k candela? wheres the other 40k coming from? you got two mounted on ur pistol? 😂
@@assclapper2231 you edited it bozo
@@assclapper2231 that makes no sense g if it was edited and didnt say 100k when i read it, why would i say anything in the first place 🤷♂️
$130 I can find them on ebay for $60
Streamlight all day long, better prices, surefire is just way overpriced. I own several streamlight products and have had no issues.
Where are you shopping bro. I hope they’re at least using lubricant
I bought my surefire for $280 on amazon. Streamlight is going for 150. My main purpose with the surefire is to blind the opponent. I plan to use it on my edc. The stream light is great overall light. The lummens, candela, and flood are amazing. I use this light for my nightstand firearm.
How’s it going EDC and what are you running it on? Debating grabbing one
I wait until holidays and companies have sales. I got the surefire x300 turbo for $219 and a Streamlight tlr1 HL for $107. I never buy weapon lights or anything like that unless it's a holiday sale and it has a percentage off.
Where did you find those prices?
@@cliffordrandell735The x300 I got from palmetto State Armory when they run a sale. You have to get it quick before they're gone but they run it every now and then. The tlr1hl I got from Amazon warehouse. They sold it that cheap because the box was slightly damaged
@@cliffordrandell735matter of fact, if you go to palmetto State Armory they have the x300 turbo right now for 219
I also won't buy lights unless there is a sale on one of the E-Commerce sites. I have four X300 and paid between $219 and $222 and two TLR-1XL which were $130 and $120. I also plan many of my purchases for Amazon Prime day which included three Olights.
@@overtheradar I wonder if stream light will do a big prime day sale...
What is an e-commerce site? I heard someone else talking about that. Thanks for the info
Have a TLR-1 on one of my sigs and a X300 Ultimate on my other. They are 2 completely different levels of performance but I have to agree that I HATE the switches on the X300, ridiculously tight actuation for no reason, stream light wiped the floor with surefire in that regard
I just got an FN 510 for hiking in bear territory, so I'll go with Surefire.
For EDC on glock 19 stream light, but that said, I don't longer use weapong mounted lights for EDC. I use handheld Surefire edc2-dft.
On a pistol stream light all night long!
On a pistol I highly doubt we’re going out to 500m. I mean it definitely don’t hurt anything but it’s nothing I’m worried about.
I do like how the streamlight throws out light horizontally more than the sure fire. With a pistol I want as much of the immediate area I’m aiming at lit up as much as possible.
For me I’m going stream light but I’d for sure take either one.
SureFires switch is perfect and one of the reasons I love them!!!
Great video 😎👍 thanks for sharing
For bedside/coffee table I have TLRs/Olights...
Duty/Field use I go Streamlight...
I regards to the lights mantioned in this video.
Own both, i prefer the Streamlight. And plus, its been a couple of torture test online between the 2 and the Streamlight outlasted the x300 in both test. So i went and grabbed 2 more just to put up in my safe. Just my opinion.
Streamlight have served me with a cloud defensive switch for years. On my rifle. I refuse to spend that much for a pistol light. I mean even if i wanted to I carry a staccato cs so i cant put an x300 on it lol. The tlr7 rocks tbh
You'll spend more on a rifle light than the light that goes on the gun that is most likely to be used in your defense? Real bright lol.
That said he misspoke in the video TLR1-HL is $150 not $250
Love my turbo
Where do you live that the tlr1 cost $255?!
I have both, they are both good lights but I prefer Surefire.
I’ve never paid more than 150$ for a 1,000 lumen TLR1 in my life. I have five.
Yeah, i misspoke in the video. I meant to say $155, not $255.
Olight needs the step down due to it having an internal battery whereas the Surefire and Streamlight all have technically an external battery that can be removed. The unit as a whole plus the battery will get hot compared to the unit alone in the aforementioned. I will say I still prefer my olight due to the magnetic charging feature and ease of switch.
I have both models (four X300 and two TLR-1HL) and prefer the switches on the Surefire X300. I use the thumb on my support had to push down to activate the light and roll the knuckle on my support hand up to turn the light off which doesn't overshoot the middle off setting like the thumb would. As to the Streamlight I don't that the light functions are different directions for the two sides. I do like the locking cam lever on the Olights.
The only thing I like more about the surefire is that you can use your support hands thumb and push the switch forward for momentary. If Streamlight added that feature it would be nice.
The streamlight has momentary?
@@Z.cGainz yes it does
Streamlight tlr 1 hl are great and i own both, but tlr1 will not hold a light to the Turbo after about 75 yards. Yes they are expensive, but its only money...
Do you know which color way you have on your TLR by any chance? I’m looking to pick one up and don’t want to get the wrong brown
Which brown are you wanting?
Surefire is awesome! I like the sturdy switch on it because the light doesn't turn by accident like my streamlight... but TLR 2, 4, 6, & 8 are goated -Unpopular opinion🤠
$251? No way $150-$170 for a tlr1 hl. You got hosed. You missed the surefire sale the 300s were $275
agreed
Just picked up a x300 turbo from Palmetto for 255 shipped
Yup, literally bought a tlr1 hl yesterday on midwayusa for 143$
streamlight forsure
I’ve never paid more than $150 for a TLR-1 I own 3. Not sure where you are shopping bud….
Yeah, i misspoke in the video. I meant to say $155, not $255.
@@HarleyWood23 roger that! Thank you for admitting the mistake. Unfortunately that has become hard for people to do these days!
My Brother in Christ, I’ve only paid 125 for my stream light.
Same lmao

TLR-1 HL all day!
I just bought a TLR-1 HL today for $159.00
They used to be around$120 on sale for $100. Inflation is crazy.
Picked one up yesterday for $131
And a TLR-7 sub for $112

Hardly-would, never met a Streamlight I didn't hate.
I paid $100 for my tlr-1 hl years ago. My my how things have changed
I feel like the X300U would be the better contender against the TLR1HL
There’s a million comparisons of that. Everyone wants to know how the turbo is against the 1HL
The Tlr was double 7 months ago damn it’s 150 now
He misspoke in the video. Pretty sure they’ve always been $150-$180.
@@OleMisssagreed, I’ve seen them consistently in the 150-180 range as well.
Wow you got rip on your streamlight all day long amazon 157.99 .
See pinned comment. I didn't notice the error until after i published the video
As someone with both the x300 turbo is a far better quality light it’s beam is far longer and the beam width is plenty good enough in deep
Darkness it’s just….expensive as hell
I will take the S TLR-1HL any day over the Surefire X300 Turbo. If in a fight I would want to know if there were any other targets to worry about who cold take me out while I in a firefight with the primary target. That’s my two cents worth.
Where the surefire shines is when you’re in adverse conditions, like say real life, where smoke from your firearm exists, as well as photonic barriers the ability to push that light through those things is critical the TRL will not do it.
You got ripped off man. This light goes for less than 130
The streamlight battery door is garbage... Everyone I own has failed!
Olight is definitely a beginners first light. Just buy something not Chinese
Like a Streamlight?
I mean, the surefire is basically just assembled in the U.S.
@@whilomforge3402 A lot of these "American made" products are just assembled here. They will never tell you where the parts are coming from...especially the internals like the emitter and PCB.
@@abtcup for sure. The vast majority of the necessary parts are made in China.
Olight is Chinese
Let's see some real-world testing... Say 1000 rounds down rang, Let's see if you have the same issues with your streamlight falling apart
I have a tlr-7sub on my 365xl with at least 3k rounds through it, mostly rapid drills from concealment, and I've carried it daily for 3 years now.
It still runs like the day I bought it, so eat shit is what I'd say to that.
@lesliegee42069 Mr Dolt... before you go, all butt hurt, read the title. TlR-1 HL vs surefire X300 Turbo. Not the sub 7 or your mothers vibrator. So slow down, bro.
4,000+ round count on my m&p with the tlr1 hl. Still rocking.
Congrats, I've had two fail... sad thing is I've put olights through the same, and they still running. Same with my surefire, cloud defense. Guess they sent me some dudes.
Tlrs are kinda trsh
Please explain.
Feel free to explain.
The light is one of the only 2 that pretty-much never fails in extended night courses.
In my experience they don't hold up like olight
@@jamescole2725 That's almost the exact opposite of the experience of every night fire course instructor I've ever met. One of which literally keeps TLRs on a shelf at the staging area of the class, and when asked why he said "To loan to, and sell to all the people with Olights when they fail before the end of class" (I asked why not keep any U boats up there and they said "Price, I'm selling to Olight users")
@@zunrue1 huh not my experience at all
