This is perfect. I've started figure skating a few months back and I'm looking for off ice exercises as well as which weight lifting exercises to do to complement my skating
There's so much beginner figure skating content out there but this channel is consistently my favorite. The explanations are always short and sweet and easy to understand which is great when you don't want to spend all your ice time watching a video at the boards :)
Thank you for this! I already do a general Pilates workout, but have felt like I still needed more skating-specific exercises. Excited to add these to my workout routine!
Thank you, this video gave me some good ideas for exercising off the ice! I'm excited to see more off ice videos, because you seem really proffessional. Maybe some jumping/rotation exersices, or ankle strengthening, flexibility. I would also be really curios if there is any way to build some basics for on ice spins off the ice other than using a spinner? I find myself struggling on the ice with spins, I can kind of hit the sweet spot, but can't hold it in place and I can't do more than 3 revolutions on one leg (actually I find it easier to hold a back spin position than a forward which seems unusal, but I realized recently that my right side is significantly stronger than my left). Maybe my ankles or torso or legs arent strong enough?
It really depends on how fast you do all the exercises. I would start out giving yourself breaks between all exercises. You can make it as slow or as fast as you want 👍❤️

Very welcome and will do more off ice videos to help you/skaters. We will have a new video coming out soon that I think will be perfect for you 😉👍❤️
Thank you! How long does the whole routine take, total?
