MY mother was from Montreal, I grew up in Florida USA, so I am US and Canadian but never lived in Canada.
So, you are shopping at Angeloni, looks like the one near Beira Mar Centro. We have another one here in Ingleses too.
Visited Brasil back in 1980 on a container ship (work) but took till 2002 for me to return
Been here off and on since. Returned in 2018 for a 6 months vacation but still here 5 years later.
Firstly lived in Santa Catarina 2002 but went north to Joao Pessoa 2006 and lived there for a couple years before going back to Florida with my BR wife.
Just returned from a small vacation we took to Joao Pessoa Paraiba for 2 months, nice to be warm again. Looking to buy another place up there early next year. JP is a great city
How long have you been in BR and how long do you plan to stay ? You have a perm visa or just tourist visa ?
Thank you so much for watching! My husband and I are Cameroonians but our two sons are Brazilians. Our first son was born in Sao Paulo and our second son in Florianopolis. We first came to SP in 2019 and then returned permanently in 2021 and lived in Inglesse, SC for 7 months and finally moved to Itacorubi (centro) until now. Yes I know the Angeloni in the North which is way cheaper than the one here. We have about 3 around us but this one is the biggest(closest to Policia Federal SC ). We are on Permenent residency based on our 1st son who was born here. We are looking forward to naturalise soon. For now we plan on staying longer while exploring the beautiful states of Brazil while preparing to do a lot of international travels too (When the boys are a little bigger). NICE, I got an RNE first with the idea of opening a travel agency but that never happened, ended up marrying a Brasilian in 2006 so now I am good forever@@TheGeorgeFamily.

I think it’s all relative. You may think Canadians have a higher income but we also have the most expensive housing market than the rest of the world right now and the income to housing affordability ratio is off the charts. Your spending about 80% of your paycheck on cost of living (mortgage or rent)when the general rule of thumb is to spend 30% of your income on housing. Canadians are living paycheck to paycheck. And it’s even worse if you have a family to support to. But it’s interesting to know what the rest of world is spending on cost of living. Thanks for sharing and sending you guys all the best. 😊

Prices have increased due to inflation, and prices in the capitals of Brazilian states tend to be higher! I love watching your videos, I would like to see them speaking our language!! They actually speak Portuguese. My eldest son was 4 and the youngest one 1 year old at the time of this video and so they could only say vocabulary in Portuguese and basic sentences (not a full conversations yet). Yes we will do few vlogs in Portuguese as requested. Thank you for watching. we are grateful.

How many hours from Porto Algre to Santa Catarina?
Porto Algre is the name of a city in the state of Rio grande do sul while I live in Florianopolis which is the capital city of the state santa catarina and it takes 5 to 8 hours to reach here from P.A by bus.

Like I said I can't give you an estimate because we don't have the same living style. I decided to stay in an expensive house because of my kids but others will not do the same, so my estimate might be expensive for someone else.
