      I would NEVER move to Denmark. It looks ugly anyway. Reminds me of the east coast of the USA. Foggy, rainy, gray, and the people are snobby and mean. Europe on a whole except for Russia and Spain sucked for me. Switzerland was nice but felt alienating, like you're on another planet.

    Nice video, I am married to a Brazilian and have been visiting Brazil for 30 years, you are right, Brazilians eat way too much red meat, especially Rio Grand du Sul like Porto Alerge, churrasco is a cultural religion almost!. My wife has been a vegan for 20 years, and when we visited recently, she found it very difficult. Once you move further north like Recife, Salvador or Fortaleza it's more fish and chicken, meat is not eaten often because of the hot humid conditions. And in regards to the language, 30 years ago virtually no one spoke English which made it extremely difficult for me, it's better now, especially in places like Rio, however, you need to learn Portuguese from day one, it's not like Portugal, Spain or Europe where most citizens let's say over 15 years old speak very good English and are pretty much fluent, in this case if you are from the US, Australia, Canada or New Zealand, it's easy for us. But not in Brazil, you need to speak Portuguese, start learning is a positive step and then after a while, you will get the hang of it. Thanks.

      Hi, can I ask what do they think about whites/americans in rio/sao Paolo and Brazil in general? how are they typically received? I visited colombia a lot in the past and just spent 6 months there to see if I could live there full time, and I just cant. I feel too excluded from the local culture despite wanting to belong and meeting a ton of nice people there. That is the sole reason I couldn't live there. Cool place to visit, probably not to live. I want to spend a few months in Brazil but im kind of scared to feel this way again.

    Thanks for the video! If you make dollars and spend in reais (Brazilian currency), life can become very cheap in Brazil; otherwise, large cities (Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, etc) can be expensive. Food (supermarket) and transportation are mostly affordable and of great quality (organic). Property prices and taxes are high. Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo, for example, have some of the most expensive real state in the world. You pay for what you get. The security situation is like in any other large cities. Once you learn how to behave and where/when to go (and not go) you'll be OK. Life quality can be incredible in Brazil. People are usually welcoming everywhere. Knowing some Portuguese will make life much easier. Spanish helps a bit because of the similarities. English would be more viable in the large cities but most of the population will not speak it. Everyone will try to help and accommodate you as much as possible. If you are moving in with kids, remember Public Schools are not good. Be prepared to get them into a nice private school. That will make a world of difference for them in terms of opportunities and relationships.

    My brothers..have you forgot how to farm the pearl and how many different saltwater oysters and freshwater mussels can be used? Each produce different sizes and colors of pearls. Pinctada and Pteria species are the main 2 groups but anyone with an irridecent or shiny multi color interior shell will work just fine. Re-learn how to culture them sustainably, both with a bead inserted (tahitian style) and without a bead (akoya style). The method used depends on the size of the shell and skill of the fish farmer. Minimum 2 years till harvest after operation but 3 is better. The longer you wait the thicker the and stronger the nacre is and the more valuable it'll be..The Caribbean used to be a hotspot for pearls and pearl divers during slavery, from margarita island up to the the gulf of mexico and all throughout the islands in between. Do your research while its available. Theres lots of info on RUclips and online. Temple of Tolomeco

    Fico feliz que está sendo bem tratado na minha cidade, mas você falou a sua realidade de que está no eixo Centro x Zona Sul....porque a realidade da maioria dos cariocas é viver o movimento pendular pois a massa da população vive longe do trabalho e precisamos enfrentar transporte público lotado e ônibus mau conservados. Precisamos pegar um ou mais ônibus para chegar no trem e as vezes pegar o metrô ou BRT depois. São horas em um trânsito caótico para chegar no Centro do Rio, Barra da Tijuca ou zona Sul. É bem difícil a vida do pobre carioca que vive na periferia...fora a sensação de insegurança.... amo minha cidade, mas sei bem que precisamos melhorar muito! E não tem como comparar com uma cidade na Índia, pois eles são o país mais populoso e povoado do mundo e sei que têm problemas de conexão.

      @dizzymakavelli5239 my vocabulary is limited to literally a 5 year old since that is when I left, so I believe you, but that doesn't sit right with me because my parents are big cooks and owned restaurants. Galinha is the word you describe, and the context that "Frango" was used in my family growing up was _fried chicken_

    • @DizzyMakavelli
      @DizzyMakavelli Год назад

      @@StalkedByLosers Frango means a young Rooster.
      Galinha means Chicken, the female of the specie.
      But people use Frango in general because you can’t tell the sex of the animal on the plate.
      Fried Chicken is Frango Frito.
      Frito = Fried

      @StalkedByLosers Год назад

      @dizzymakavelli5239 thanks. Yes I know Frito means fried but thanks anyway. I'll ask my family about the terminology. Maybe we just say Frango as short for Frango Frito. Like I said, in context, it meant Fried Chicken in my experience but like I said my experience was cut short.

    • @StalkedByLosers
      @StalkedByLosers Год назад

      @dizzymakavelli5239 where are you from? because we use Galo to refer to roosters in Brazil, not Frango. What you said about being given a live Chicken if you ask for Frango is just wrong. I confirmed it with my family. It may be different in Portugal but in Brazil, "Frango" is to Chicken what Pork is to Pig. If you ask for Pork in USA they will ask you what kind...BBQ pork, pulled pork, pork chops, but you would never ask for Pig. Its the same for Frango. Its food, not a live chicken. Frango in Brazil is more strictly for chicken as food. I know my vocabulary is that of a child still but I have a good sense of Brazilian Portuguese. Yes I should say Frango Frito to be specific but in shorthand and in context it is fine to say Frango, they may just clarify if you want Frango A passarinho or Frungo Frito or Frango TV de Cachorro. Maybe you are Portuguese? We say things differently in Brazil. So what you said is wrong.

The same internet connection you’re using to make to incorrect and frankly asinine comments could be used to do a simple google search. Why you think Brazils black population have no influence or control in politics or anything that matter? Why you think you can barely see any black Brazilians in universities and other institutions whereas in America blacks are represented everywhere in anything you can think of. That’s because working legally as a foreigner is complicated and difficult, regarding paperwork and getting a different variety of visa-stamp. If foreigners DO have a job inside of Brazil, it’s highly likely that they have an informal arrangement that started out by knowing somebody. Because you don’t want to cause any problems for your employer, that person will likely not talk about their employment situation very deeply.

      You must be confusing us with other latin country. We were not colonized by Spain, we were colonized by Portugal. Around 80% of the brazillian population have a mixed race genelogical tree, mostly consisting of the main 3 mixes (Portuguese, Native and Angolan) and also German and Italian after World War I and II. Most Brazillians have 3 to 5 nationalities mix, I have never met anyone in my life that has less than that unless they were Japanese (Japaneses were not allowed to marry Brazillians during World War II, so they took longer to mix than other nationalities). We also have a lot of French and Lebanese mixes. Because we are so mixed, Brazillians do not have a specific look.

      The average Brazillian doesn't care much about skin color, mixed race couples are very common around here. Though they usually care quite a bit about being fit. But overall, most Brazillians are very open-minded if you are a friendly foreigner that shows genuine interest in their culture.

    It is so sad, that black women, like real black women, beautiful, smart hardworking, motherly in Brazil. Are treated as invisible and undesired in Brazil by brown and black man and cities like Salvador in the states like Bahia and broken white man goes there and literally take advantage of those women and even marry in exchange for the passport or financial support and later on slave those women or divorce and marry light skin brown women in Brazil. All thank colonialism in Brazil. On the other hands there are black men here and black women in the US are facing other issues related to power also influenced by colonialism. Our diaspora is sick everywhere...one way or the other...
