There are. One of the more interesting ones I found out was this one blaze has that looked like it would have been used for when sonic boosts past her. This, interestingly enough, implies that she may have been considered for a rival battle as only rivals actually react like this

No, you only race Modern Tails in Generations, and he’s flying the Tornado rather than running on the ground.

@@Awesomest915 I'm thinking Tails might have been originally planned to race Sonic on foot instead, but The Tornado may have been substituted, making less work for the animators.
