I use a point system for SEO, the model is based on the competition level. This way we charge a monthly rate that is based more accurately on client goals and what it takes to achieve them. Then the points number flows through to the team so they know how much work is required for the client each month - various tasks have point values. Ad buys, yes percentage model - number decreases with higher ad buys. Just started a point system with social (testing) and I charge hourly for straight consulting.

What do you mean by "competition level"? I too would be opening seo agency so could you explain me that on how to decide price based on competition? It would really help me

@@punit5601 I wrote an online calculator for my team to help them figure it out. However, the basics have to do the with the difference in authority (you can use moz.com), number of links and other SEO factors which can offer a good sense of the work and effort needed to compete with target sites ranking for specific keywords. There are always adjustments, but you can use your own factors to develop your prices.

Great video, especially because all of them work and there's no right or wrong answer.
The perfect scenario would be to have enough transparency in the beginning when discussing with a client so there's a set expectation that can be met.
Or rather to simplify, it's all about creating a win-win situation. Show up, consistently, with a plan, execute it well enough and over time, that puts anyone in the 1% of anything.

@@manavsingh7378 You won't find good clients on UpWork. And cold emails can work even without the portfolio. What about building partnerships with agencies in the US that charge more than you? They can outsource to you. Or perhaps you're building MVP's for startups so having a partnership with an early-stage venture group can be powerful. There's millions of ways to get more projects :)
