Manual transmission i believe gives you the best control of your truck. The automatic 680 that I drive I hate with a passion

We actually agree on the manual transmission. I started out with a 10-speed but then bought a D12 13-speed. I thought it would be harder but it was so much easier and I felt more in control.

I have driven 8, 10, 13 and 18 speed transmission. Now this is just my opinion that the 13 is perfect for carrying heavyweights and 18 is the next best as you can use like the 13 speed. Now for price the 13 speed is more expensive than the 18 speed which seem crazy. 13 speed manual all the way..

Manual transmission 100% First started driving the Freightliner C.O.E. back in the 90's. One hop and in the bunk !! LOL..
On a different subject .... I wish that KW would redesign the inside of the truck. If you took the sleeper compartment from a Volvo Globetrotter, with that table/sofa setup. And a bigger refrigerator system. Than I think that KW would have something great.

It’s called lazy and looking for the easy way. The driving institutions are going automatic as it’s easier for them to process more drivers in less time mean while it pads their pockets. It’s just. Pure laziness.

I have that truck with the same engine and it’s a piece of junk. It has broken down on me six times in the past two months. It’s the worst truck I’ve had in over 30 years. Get ready to be towed frequently and lots of motel extended stays I’ve already spent $3000.00 on motels in the past 2 months
