    I will stick to my old school 379 large car. I never have to worry about my dash not showing up and don't have all the rad dels and I can still fix it my self!

    Hey Jackknife! I worked / interned at one KW assembly plant - quality issues have been extremely rampant the past few years. I don’t know the exact root causes of these issues but y’all deserve much better than this.

    I have the same truck with the same problems… Good thing my sleeper has windows on both sides so I can watch Peterbilts rolling by as I reflect on my poor life decisions... 🧐😅😢

      😂 well steadily some of them are being taken care of ... Kenworth installed six new injectors without any fuss think that was more thanks to the dealership I'm working with .
      Then I had a problem with DEF quality sensor and that took a little bit of negotiations with The regional dealer rep to get replaced under warranty and taught me a valuable lesson never try to fix or diagnose anything that's under warranty or you might end up having to pay for it 🤷.
      As for the rattling fairings the dealership went over them and I imagine tightened or adjusted them .
      Even after they did that there still was rattling noises some diagnosing and weather stripping later and I pretty much solve that problem.
      As for the hood resting mounts along the firewall the best thing you do is get 3M felt off of Amazon and cover the mount so it doesn't squeak.

    I would not spend a dime on those trucks. Everyone I know who owns one has to make excuses for issues. American manufacturing has failed. Paccar is the highest priced example.

      It's engineer to fail..... Unfortunately it looks like they're also engineering the fall of America too

    Kenworth build quality has gone down severely over the past few years. I used to order the trucks for my previous company, and we had nothing but trouble with the t680s rattling themselves apart. It got to a point to where the local Kenworth dealership had ordered passenger side steps and fairings to keep on hand just so I can have them replaced on all of our trucks because the brackets were breaking.

  • @fin1964
    @fin1964 Год назад +6

    That is way too much money to spend. Kenworth needs to get its act together. It sounds like it's falling apart.

  • @KyzerSusie

    Does Kenworth not test drive their trucks before giving them the thumbs up? I think there's too much dependence on software and digital displays. The least little thing can screw them both up.

      Same thing is done with 🚗🛻. If it looks good on 📝 it has to be to the engineering. Even though they won't be in it 7 days a week

    I’ve been driving one. Straight out of the factory it had coolant issues, dash issues, and comes with the worst engine made the paccar. Then you have the assisted braking and a bunch of unnecessary sensors that go off all day. Great looking truck but that’s about it

  • @ronnader2458
    @ronnader2458 6 месяцев назад +1

    I drove one for three months before giving it up. I had so many problems and it’s such a poor built quality it’s just crazy. I switched to a older 2022 model and it is a much better truck.

    I'm glad my 2020 kenworth t680 cummins is smooth as butter. Louder than the freightliners that I'm use to but not like the 2023 paccar.

    We as owners of the 2023 T680 need to get together and file a class action lawsuit...
    Comes from the factory...
    Bad Alignment...
    Broken fairings...
    Auto start/stop not working properly...
    Cruise control not working properly...
    Window switches breaking...
    All THIS PLUS ALOT MORE WITH LESS THAN 100K MILES...

    Well my peterbilt 579 I was doing over 3500 miles on the full DEF tank. About fuel my tanks was 220 I was able to do 3 days of work . @ 650 miles per day ( my loads was not really heavy) and like you saying is over 9mpg. In my opinion exterior plastic part peterbilt is more solid. . Soon. I can start review my MX 13 510hp. I do have so.e ideas for that noises on the plastic exterior parts of the t680 I will try on mine and I hope will work out

    A common misconception is new trucks have no issues, don’t break down, and are somehow nicer than older ‘junkers’. Nope. They are all junk, old or new. Difference is when the newer rigs break down, it takes way more time and money to fix it compared to an older rig

    I know they have the updated software for the screen glitching out my truck also my abs like popping off and on the side panels Kenworth told me that they updated them they're just on backorder right now apparently the sales guy told me that they made him fast and cheap because apparently people were complaining that they were not out yet they were getting pushed too fast off the production line

    I wonder if Kenworth has contacted "Jacknife TV" to resolve the issues. A trustworthy manufacturer would have already reached out to address the problems.

      I know right🤷 To be honest the sad thing is I did 250,000 miles and a 2016 Freightliner Cascadia and I say it rode better and was quieter at least rattle wise.....

  • @chrislovett6120
    @chrislovett6120 6 месяцев назад

    There has never been a new truck built that doesn’t need an all axle alignment. Sad but true
    And a dealership can’t and won’t do it so do t go there.

      Eh I don't know I have a buddy going through hell right now with a x-15 .... So far I've only lost about $4K in downtime .
      I'm averaging about 9 mi a gallon and For the last 40,000 mi I haven't had any problems yet .... Although the rattling plastic and braking plastic pieces are kind of getting annoying.

      @@Jackknife-TVTotally agree paccarr seems to be a little better, that being said I drive the same Kenworth and I'm currently sitting in a Dealer thinking if I should go back to my previous Freightliner, luckily I'm not an owner operator yet.
