Hayley is insane, i love her voice so much. The Paramore name has a different meaning than what you're saying

They were on the right track with the meaning. The band name Paramore is a play on the French word paramour which means ‘secret lover’. It was the maiden name of one of the original members mothers.

It was the maiden name of one of the bandmates mother, and they thought it was cool...
But once they found out the real meaning of the word (secret lover), they were sold on it and changed the spelling a bit.

I do love Paramore, they have a great evolution through their discography. They started really young (parents had to accompany them to their gigs) so seeing how they came into their own as people and musicians is very apparent with each album. Haley has an amazing vocal range and puts an incredible amount of heart into her performances, live and studio, which is very hard to miss. I think if you visited some of the recorded material you might have a different take of their music, especially albums 3 + 4 (Brand new eyes and the self titled, Paramore). Both have an air of freedom, growth and fun.
It is rare to be able to see a live recording that really does justice to a band and I say that not because a performance is bad but because you need to soak in the atmosphere and surroundings and energy in person to really appreciate. Also, the sounds are always engineered to the venue so what you may have heard at that gig will always be far superior to the sound translated on video.
By the way, I was actually watching them at that festival and they were definitely worthy of their billing spot there and then the co-headline spot in 2014.

While this song probably wouldn't go on my own playlist, there were a lot of things about this band that I like. I enjoyed the guitar/drum interplay, and I really liked the lead singer's voice a lot. Definitely open to checking out more Paramore.

If you like her voice she has 2 solo albums out now and I highly recommend checking out some other songs by them. Even picking random songs off any of their 5 albums. If there's a specific element you didn't like I can recommend songs that may not have that. I'm a huge fan of this band

Since when alternative rock and pop punk are pop? it’s mainstream but this is rock music.

Paramore was the last name of one of their high school friends and they thought it was cool so they changed the spelling for the double entendre

I think it's more the "secret love" than anything.

Thank you for doing all my requests. Fair enough that the music is not your style, but it is hard not to enjoy this performance at least a little anyway.
I was curious if you had heard of Paramore before, they have 5 albums by the way, not 4. Regarding the Paramore name:
"According to Hayley Williams, the name "Paramore" came from the maiden name of the mother of one of their first bass players. Once the group learned the meaning of the homophone "paramour" ("secret lover"), they decided to adopt the name, using the Paramore spelling."
Their first album in 2005 was very "emo", Hayley was only 16 and Zac Farro only 15 at the time, so very much teenage angst. The 2nd and 3rd album from 2007 and 2009 was more "alternative rock", "indie rock", "pop rock".
Later in 2013 on the 4th album their sound changed a lot as they grew older with more pop music than alternative rock, and in the 5th and latest album from 2017 they have a brand new sound more like 80s music in many songs. Very upbeat music with very serious and sad lyrics a lot of the time about depression.
    BR
    Andreas.

Our pleasure, Andreas. The 2nd song from this group will be dropping soon. In the meantime, I've checked out a couple of her interviews Hayley has done, with one she did for Apple around a year ago this time...when her solo project was going out. Very interesting and engaging. Immediately likable. - Greg

@@intothemusic908 Yeah, Hayley released 2 solo albums in the last year, very interesting and many catchy songs. But I look forward to a new Paramore album at some point hopefully, and looking forwards to them touring again, whenever such things can will be possible again.
I watched Paramore live twice in 2013 and 2017 when they were visiting Denmark with their 4th and 5th albums. They are amazing to see live.

I particularly prefer this version rather than The Final Riot one, this has more performance to show. Anyway, just an opinion
