      +Ima Me I think to get actual cream, you need to boil the milk till the cream appears on the top. keep skimming it and boiling the milk till you've accumulated the cream you require. But this method is so much easier!

But I bought gelatin as I know from the video it does work, but still trial and error, but better than agar agar - for me!

    A can of "carnation" milk is a higher bf content, when mixed with equal amt of water is equal to whole milk at 3.25% bf (butter fat). Chill in your freezer for a couple of hours will whip up like whipping, my dad used it for making iced cream. It doesn't have very long hold as whipped cream, so the addition of gelatin would improve its standing time.

    Why bother spooning it into a small serving bowl? I would eat it all from the mixing bowl while watching a DVD.

      A lot of ice cream is made this way now, so, a lot of people are eating “whipped cream” by itself...

    • @JoJo-ic1th
      @JoJo-ic1th 4 года назад +1

      I wounder the same thing, why he put it into a smaller. He could have tasted it right from the mixing bowl. I don't think he was going to eat it all at the time, he just tasted a little to let us know if it tasted good. ( from the look on his face i have my doubts if he really liked it and it seemed as though he realized he made the face cause he tooked a second taste and smiled ) but back to him putting the whipped cream into a smaller bowl before tasting it just made it look neater for the camera and afterwards he probley covered the bowl and put it into the refrigerator until he wanted more and a smaller bowl would fit better in the frig. Although, how long would it keep in the frig. Whipped cream in a bowl won't keep as long as a can of whipped cream in the frig. :)

    Thank you! I just got a drying -out vegan/gluten free pumpkin pie from the food shelf and it's as good as I expected it would be. None of the custard agents are in the pie so it has a flat, unfinished taste with the lasting bitterness of the unassisted spices. Though technically the science behind pumpkin pie is something that can be made vegan and gluten free without it being a total disaster like many other forced items like soy cheese or bread made from the wrong type of grain substitute etc, but that doesn't necessarily make it a good choice. (This one is stamped Feb 27 so that explains plenty about This particular pie as well...)
    This is the first time I've ever been to a food pantry and despite being a whole milk drinker I was exited to have milk in the fridge again after going without, even if it is 1%. "Beggars shan't be choosers", as the tone deaf saying goes.
    I do indeed have the obscure gelatin ingredient because when I can afford food I love to make stuff, especially sweets, but I was under the impression that you could make whipping cream simply emulsifying butter fat with any low fat milk.
    This dried out bitter pie with its joyless crust NEEDS sweetened dairy fat to save the day -and my long neglected sweet tooth! Maybe I'll just have to get gluttonous and make a modified homemade sweetened whipped butter to lay across the top after warming each slice of pie...
    And then never speak of it again should Dignity remain a value.

    Thank you, thank you, thank you! I'm lactose intolerant so I can make this with lactose free milk and it looks like this would be a lot better tasting than Cool Whip. I wonder how long it holds it's shape. I can see myself making a batch of this with every pumpkin pie I make. I'll have to make some of this with Maple flavoring too.

    Amazing! this recipe works. I poured the gelatin powder into the milk. Then I boiled the mixture and blended it. I blended the mixture every half an hour.
    I replaced the sugar with sweet condensed milk. The vanilla essence gives a punch to the taste. Not only does the texture resembles whip cream but also cost lesser than whip cream. Thanks for sharing, chef.

I just made some today but I used heavy whipping cream because I had not seen your video yet. I made it from another RUclips video "Ice Cream with 2 ingredients & no machine."
