Thanks mate! Many RUclipsrs fail to acknowledge the tremendous success of Liam's solo career, far surpassing Noel's solo work commercially. Impression was that Liam was adrift until reunion announcement. I adore them both for different reasons, so no ax to grind against Noel. He's a Rock and Roll genius. Have seen both of them solo and headed to Wembley next July.
Oasis are massive in the UK & Ireland almost Beatles level, the greatest band of my generation by a mile, looking forward greatly to this reunion and everything that’s coming with it 🙌 X
I’m probably one of the few people that actually really likes “Be Here Now” lol. The flaws of it i totally get though. Plus some of the songs they did in the 2000s are pretty underrated imo.
The first 2 albums are still brilliant, what came after wasn't so hot. And I heard Liam singing at a boxing match the other week....what little tune he had in his voice has long gone. The reunion gigs will probably still be fun though. Great video, as always!
The reunion shows would be fun to go to from a historical perspective but I have no interest in paying the money it’ll take to get there. Thanks for watching!
@@soundofhistory_ it's also unrealistic to say Liam should have the same voice he did at 24 when his in his 50's now ...The boxing match mix was shocking and his band are also average ...The reunion shows they will give it everything they have it will be very interesting and exciting it will also be great to see Alan White back behind the kit !
Tbh i still can't tell the difference between Liam and Noel. I'm an old guy that was raising two young girls during the time Oasis were rising to fame. The New Beatles...not quite, but they were catchy af
Honestly, all things considered, prob the only old school and I think has ever really gotten "bigger than The Beatles" is Queen. The modern public is prob more familiar with them than The Beatles.
I feel like any band that gets massive has a “mania.” There was a One Direction mania for a bit. Maybe not the same level, but the press latched on to that phrase
@@soundofhistory_ But if crowd mobs are a big sign of Beatlemania, then Depeche Mode would prob be a good example then. Once they had an autograph signing just after Enjoy the Silence came out and what was thought would be would be about 50 people attending turned into over 20,000. The signings lasted for 8 minutes before it was deemed too dangerous.

Nobody is Beatles level only Michael Jackson

I saw Oasis with Radiohead and No Doubt in 95. I think I paid like $30 for a ticket.
Oh man, I bet that was an insane show
@@soundofhistory_ Yes it was.

He wasn’t exactly kind to his voice either with all of the alcohol and smoke so it makes sense to me
Definitely Maybe is my favorite, but they've NEVER made a bad album

Yeah, they look super similar to me. Definitely different attitudes though
the oasis name was based off swindon leisure centre

Fair. I’d say Madonna or MJ at their peak got close.
Queen were undoubtedly a huge band from mid 70s to early 80s. But was there ever Queen mania like Beatle mania? I dont think so.

@@soundofhistory_ And arguably, the amount of memes Bohemian Rhapsody has spawned like with The Muppets could be a mania in of itself. lol
