So we are going to talk about Elvis ability to fly, but not even mention his awesome landing? The man not only stayed on his feet, he practically pulled off the "super hero" landing move.

Not only did he land, he was ready to make a save as if the net was still there!

Robertson's hat trick goal in the OT is hilarious, guy gave 110% of his energy getting that last goal, dude shut down to recover for a few seconds.
he was out there for 1:34 on 3 on 3 when he scored. Even I got exhausted watching that shift. Funny thing is Wheeler still couldn't catch him and he was just off the bench.

My first NHL game was Saturday and I saw Elvis jump. It was crazy.

A young kid like Robertson being in the records for back-to-back hatties with veterans is just amazing! I really wish at least one of them could’ve been in their home rink, imagine the crowd!!
As I'm watching this, I had to ask myself who Nick Schmaltz was...only to find out that Arizona are currently up 6-1 over Detroit and Nick already has 3 points in the game so far. He's got 10 points in less than two games, which represents almost a third of the points he's got all season, and the night is still young!! Mind blowing!!!
And then they won 9-2 somehow, progress for them with back to back high scoring games

I got to see Elvis’s jump live. I’ve never been so scared about potential injury yet so excited by what I’d just seen. Elvis is something else.
Was there too, the crowd reaction is crazy. Cheers for the jump, gasps for Z, boos for Marchand all simultaneously. Insane

I watched the Vasilevskiy glove save 10 times and still don't believe it ... and Varlamov's paddle save emporium stop may have been better. Good grief.
Oh, and we're going to see that one "hat pick" highlight repurposed in two days. A hint as to how it will be introduced: "IF YOU'RE A GOALTENDER ..."

and that game... yeah the coyotes won but they blew a 4 goal lead and ended up trailing for a bit. Even if you bounce back, thats a problem.

I'm hoping to see Carter Hart on here next week. 47 saves against Vegas, gets the win, and he had about 3 spectacular saves to keep the Flyers in the game and get the win.

9:30 Montembault did not simply just make the save on Draisitl, he saved us all by not making the refs sit there for 80 minutes reviewing if the puck went in before the buzzer.
Exactly why it was THE save of the year!
I normally look forward to dang-its more than hat picks, but as a Stars fan I was looking forward to this one because I knew Jason Robertson would be on there.

Varlamov's save on Makar prevented makar from getting his first ever hat trick. He had 2 goals that game.
Also he just broke Sakic's record (12) for most assists in consecutive games. He is up to 13.
That is not how time works lol. If he scores that goal, every single play after doesnt happen. it is a completely different game lol.

I know there's often debate between a play being a Hat Pick for one team or a Dang It for the other, but I feel this has to be the first time a double dip would be justified for 15:04. IF YOU'RE A GOALTENDER.....

Yes, penultimate is next to last. Precedes the ultimate. So bonus, correct usage! And I was present for the Elvis superhero leap- only way to make it better was if he came down on one knee to make it a superhero landing. But I could be wrong. Sticking the landing on both knife shoes…
I can't jump as his as Elvis did without the help of a bungee cord. I mean that I can't jump that high in general. Forget the skates and goalie gear part of that clip.
A few observations:
You totally missed the call on the Paddle Save Emporium!
That fourth play in the Schmaltz streak NEEDS to be on Dang-Its so I can hear you say it. I know you want to say it.
When Elvis jumped up to avoid being taken out, he came down in the superhero pose. One hand on the ground as both feet land and the hand in the air behind him. I'm surprised the ice didn't crack under his blocker!
Comment should have been "A Superhero landing Deadpool would be proud of."
Montembeault's save was a psychological victory for the Canadiens over the Oilers, since even if it wouldn't have counted the teams would have gone into the intermission viewing the Oilers as having momentum if it had gone in after the horn.

Thanks for showing Vasi at his best! Watching him in that I've woken up in the morning with a pulled groin! I don't think I could move that limberly when I was five. It blows my mind the way he can move his body. And then watching him just warm up it's still is like he can do that? Doesn't that hurt? Is just crazy. If you watch after some people have been shut down by him he gives them one hell of a look like yeah try that in my net again!

Sweet Jesus...I knew Vasily we be good..but wow. I look at his saves and reminds me of vintage Carey Price all the time. Montys save was just awesome as well. 👍🏻👍🏻

Draisaitl’s shot that Montembeault saved was a good half a second after the buzzer. You can see on one the the angles the green light goes on before Leon has even gathered the puck.

Re: Save of the Year but not technically a save - Reminds me of a Pekka Rinne save more then a few years back against SJ. He absolutely yard saled across the net in a desparation attempt and he miraculously stopped the puck with his blocker/face after a flurry of saves. However, about 2 or so seconds before the big save he's remembered for, the ref loudly blew it dead so it never would have counted even if the puck went in. But it's still an amazing save on a lot of top save lists.
So yeah, I think a save is a save no matter the context

Keller and Schmaltz are out there having fun and tearing it up now that Tocchet isn't coaching. Tocchet was too obsessed with defensive structures which stifled the offensive production of guys like Schmaltz and Keller.
