Police Captain Ed spent ALL his free time trying to rescue an escaped beefalo named "Buddy" in Connecticut. He tried night vision goggles, a drone, and even hid for hours in a trailer. It was all worth it when Buddy was finally rescued and brought down to Critter Creek Farm Sanctuary in Florida.

The fact that vegans act like plants aren't sentient loving beings too. Wow. How little people know. Mother trees share resources with their own children first. That is because they're sentient, loving parents. So don't be so judgy. I hate that we're all made to eat each other but acting like eating plants is not as horrible as eating other animals is wrong. I love how happy this officer is that Buddy made it to the sanctuary, thank you for helping him make it to a safe home!
This happened at a meat packing plant in NJ about 15 years ago. A cop cornered him and the bull gave up and ended up with the bull's head in his lap and the bull just sighed and gave up. That cop made sure he got to a sanctuary too. This is when I stopped eating meat. They can smell the blood in packing plants and know they are going to be slaughtered. They just want to live too.

An absolutely incredibly funny inicdent that brought a town together. A beef bull goes to slaughter and decidesit isn't his day. Avoids capture for so long but has the town trying to catch this bull to give him a good forever home. Even when he is there he shows that it ishis decsion whether to stay or go. But once he sees how many friends he has, he settles in and relaxes with his new life of luxury. If only you could explainto that bull what he just accomplished. Amazing.

If you are interested, look up what happened,oh,I think it was the early years of the 20th Century. The caves of Lascaux provided the look of the wild aurochs, and some American ranchers decided to try to breed back and recreate the wild animal from existing breeds.
The last true aurochs was killed in Poland in the 17th C,I think.
Using such as Mexican fighting bulls, longhorns and other,a program was established. It happened much faster than anticipated. When one program recreated size and shape, another recreated coat colour. When the two were crossed, when the animals hit adulthood, bang that was it.
Intelligent, very large, they were killers. Attacking just about anything that moved. The behaviours of the wild aurochs were to protect the herd by attacking anything other. The recreated critters behaved similarly. Cowboys on horses were a target for their horns, not something that could move within a herd. The program had to be stopped, the animals shot.
So Buddy being a beefalo had enough wild mix to make him stubborn,he got what he wanted,a herd. And survival.Good for him.
We need reminders of the long centuries it took to breed cattle that could be around humans.

This is such a great example of how we humans can do amazingly wonderful things when driven by love and compassion.
Hopefully, one day will come when there will be no need to rescue sentient animals like buddy, hopefully.

What an incredible farm! Wish we had more farms that could take on animals. Thank you for being such special people! This video made my day!

But how will the farm generate income to keep these animals fed and sheltered? I don’t think the owners (of the one in this video at least) can make enough to just keep farm animals around, unless they’re getting donations but I don’t think that’s sustainable.

Or, if we stopped eating them, they might stop needing to be rescued.. 🤔

I also love seeing positive stories about cops just being good people.because most of them are...they do what they do because they're caring! And people should see that.this man is amazing for spending so much time helping this animal!

This was so wholesome and beautiful here I’m crying so hard right now. It amazes me that there’s so much good people still there. Your town is amazing, the cops, the Sanctuary like my heart melted. Everything in this video seemed surreal in the good way. A whole town helping find a bull, two invested men trying to catch him everyone raising money to sent him to a forever home… even that sweet old lady calling him grandson. I love this video so much at least I know not all humans are mean 😔😭😭😭
