I used to manage a farm animal sanctuary and it was and still is the most fulfilling and rewarding "job" I've ever had. So many sweet animals. A pig named Julie who knew her name as did others. They like cuddles, belly rubs, head scritches and kindness, just like dogs and cats. It's good to not eat our friends. You don't have to eat animals to live. I hadn't heard of this particular sanctuary; I'll add it to the list of those that I support. Many thanks again, to all those who saw Buddy as a living being worth saving, and not just a meal on a plate.

What an amazing community, I love how invested everyone involved was in Buddy's well-being. Wow! This is very telling of how much good there still is in this crazy world and how much feeling and emotion all living things are. Buddy's fear of humans is understandable. I kept clapping as I was watching his trip to the sanctuary. The best part is watching the officer tear up. He has such a good heart. I mean, how can't he? I saw this saga a little while back and remembered it fondly so I felt compelled to watch it AGAIN !!! It was as heart melting the 2 time around , and I'm glad that I took those few minutes to be reminded of Buddy's awesome story . 911, we have a fugitive. He's about 5 feet tall and weighs 1,000 pounds. And you CAN'T catch him?!? I'm so glad all of the folks committed their time and effort to provide Buddy with a great life in this sanctuary with his new family.

If he helped one person see that cows are some one, not something....that would be great! There are probably over a hundred farm animal sanctuaries all over the US. I'm sure there were several far closer, but Critter Creek looks lovely.

We're all headed to our respective slaughterhouses. You must remember: A cow only exists because humans find them useful. Buddy would never have been born if there was no beef industry. It's an unavoidable fact of life that life feeds on life. Humans can't digest cellulose. Animal protein isn't optional. Only a modern civilization can give the illusion that it is, but that's merely a conceit, not reality.
There was a dairy farm about 50 yards from our back fence where I grew up. I recognize Buddy as a Bull. Meat is cruelty, and the sooner we make an alternative, that meat eaters like, the better. So happy to see Buddy living his best life. You go son.❤️
Meat is cruelty, I agree. But so is dairy. Cattle have to be impregnated approx every 12 months (typically artificially) to produce profitable milk. That means a new calf every 12 months. Most of these calves are killed. In fact, dairy isn't profitable without killing cattle. Meat is cruelty. Milk and cheese are cruelty by the same token.
Bovine are heard animals so all the time Buddy spent alone in the forest was harrowing and traumatic! I am so glad he is living his best life at Criiter Creek Sanctuary!
Friends not food.. And a beefalo named buddy taught us that.. He's an individual with a desire to live just like the rest of us.. They all are. All of them.
Buddy knows what it's like to literally be terrified for your life on the way to a slaughterhouse. Buddy, I hope that horrific memory fades and you learn the joy of living.

Meat is cruelty, I agree. But so is dairy. Cattle have to be impregnated approx every 12 months (typically artificially) to produce profitable milk. That means a new calf every 12 months. Most of these calves are killed. In fact, dairy isn't profitable without killing cattle.

Bovine are heard animals so all the time Buddy spent alone in the forest was harrowing and traumatic! I am so glad he is living his best life at Criiter Creek Sanctuary!

Friends not food.. And a beefalo named buddy taught us that.. He's an individual with a desire to live just like the rest of us.. They all are. All of them.
