Hi all! Michelle and I want to thank you all for the support. A big thanks to PDubs for such a great video! As mentioned here and again from some of our customers, the newest model device’s no longer have screws on the top control deck. We are now offering a side mount version for these units. Please just add a note with your preference when ordering from the link. Thanks again!
Anyway to order this without using Facebook?
Hi. Is there any way to order these without using Facebook? Thank you.
Can you order these without using Facebook do you ship internationally.?
@@johnflannigan6369 yes, you can email us. 3ddadd3@gmail.com
We can then get you a quote with shipping included.
I have a newer machine I guess, I need to order the new ones from you..
This is a good option for people that don't have a pc or that just don't have enough time to do the other stuff. We appreciate you for checking this out for the community.
Exactly the point of the video - thank you Mad Dads!
Wow this solves my virtual pinball dilemma. I waited to long and the arcade1up pilnballs shot through the roof. And the atgames one looked awesome but I have like no mod skills. And I had no way too add various pinball games others used a PC too add. This is a game changer thanks for sharing.
You are most welcome and definitely the target audiences for this type of solution. Hope you enjoy it!
I know from watching several other videos on youtube that if you hook up the AtGames Legends Pinball controls a PC via a male to male USB cable, the PC will detect the built-in controls including the flippers and other buttons as an Xbox One controller.
If that's the case, then what about using an Xbox One to Nintendo Switch adapter? That should work. Have you tried this?
Tried out my switch and the accessories. Couldn’t be happier with the improved FX3 games vs the stock ALP’s thus far. The right joy con holder was a little tight. Other than that, the holders were fine. Only issue with the switch, is after a game, the leaderboard screen automatically turns back sideways. Not a huge deal. More annoying than anything. Thanks for the video.
Glad you're up and running!
Very neat, but I probably wouldn't do it unless they could get the OTG controls to work on the Switch. It's a cool solution none the less.
8 months later i finally got this connected on my micro. Very happy :) thanks.
Great to hear!
Still considering getting one, your videos are informative, direct, clear, and helpful. Thanks for outting together great videos!
Happy to help!
I bought a pair a few months back. I honestly thought that I would like them more than I did. The controls end up being in an awkward position. I actually prefer to just hold the joy cons and ended up removing the mounts. But A+ for thinking this up.
Appreciate the constructive feedback and opinion! That's all I ever ask for in these comments sections.
@@PDubsArcadeLoft With that being said, anyone that owns a Switch already can get an excellent pseudo-OTG experience by simply plugging in an HDMI cable and rotating the screen orientation. Highly recommended!
Let me know what you guys think! I have to say, I'm very impressed with what people continue to come up with using 3D Printers, etc.
Why don't you just use a switch adapter? Then you can use the buttons on the Legends pinball
@@smg4reblooperd182 cause we were showing off these particular products in this review video for those who need something like this. All about options.
@@smg4reblooperd182 What Switch adapter? The only ways I’ve found to make the Switch support the ALP controls are to either jailbreak the Switch and run an app that maps the buttons, or to get a USB bridge and hardwire the controls directly to the Switch. I’ve tried the Magic-S Pro adapter and a couple of generic adapters and none of them work. If you’ve found one that works it would be really cool.
cant knock it, it works. Personally i would go with PC and vibs but this helps someone in a pinch get a decent experience.
Exactly 💯
I love these mounts. They’re also available in a bunch of different colors that you can mix and match. I picked up blue and red JoyCon mounts that match the colors of my JoyCons perfectly. Also, there are a bunch of other Switch games that support vertical (Tate) mode - they look awesome on the ALP.
Michelle was helpful and shipped everything out super fast. Great review.
Thanks George! 👊 🤓
Very cool little mod. I'd probably mount the joy cons on the top side of the bracket so they could sit vertically straight on the top panel. Or would they get in the way of the pinball buttons when not playing the switch?
I don't think they would get in the way, they are pretty thin
Great, been playing my switch on my legends pinball, by just holding the joycons in my hands, which is still fun, but this seems way better. Thanks for sharing :)
Happy to help Phil!
Waiting on a sale for the pinball, but think the Switch hookup is AWESOME! I have a bunch of tables on my Switch, so this is a great option to play on the Legends machine. Are you able to use the standard pinball buttons rather than using the joycons? Cool mods though!
No have to use joycons
Ordered and installed this kit. It’s a game changer honestly. So easy to play PFX/PFX3/Pinball M/Star Wars Pinball/Demons Tilt. I mounted my joycon on the side which looks more aesthetically pleasing. I wish someone would make Bluetooth pinball controllers for switch that would be mountable to the ALP. Or if someone could make an easy to install kit to use the internal plunger/flipper buttons. But, for a cheap solution this has opened up playing virtual pinball at my house. Much better virtual pinball games versus those included from AtGames. Get the drink mounts too!
Is there a way to use the pinball controls with the Nintendo switch? I’m planning on doing something like this with the micro.
not via their OTG mode hence why these 3D printed accessories are used here. The only way to get them to work would be to Vampire Tap new wires into the existing wires which is not something I would promote doing too many people would make mistakes.
Is there a way to hook up a wireless or wired controller to a legends pinball mirco and where to hook it up to been looked for a video but cannot find one.
Ordered. I do plan on OTG'ing a PC for Pinball FX3 someday. But for $16.20, shipping included, for the joy con holders, why not? This is a quick, cheap, easy way to use the Switch for Stern, FX3, Star Wars, and The Pinball Arcade tables on Switch.
Exactly the point of the video. Thanks for the feedback my dude
AtGames could, in theory, add OTG support for Switch, right?
That would be nice
Love it! Switch is great for pinball! That shelf is nice, too. I have a solution for using the internal ALP controls. Going to share it next week.
ohhhhh... you got my attention kind sir.
Thank you.
Def interested
Can you please share it? I don’t have luxury of using a pc and want to get switch mapped to the alp controls
What solution do you have my friend???
So I just have the dpad, there are no screws on the panel...I guess I just drill my own? Can I hurt anything underneath the panel?
See pinned comment.
@@PDubsArcadeLoft ah I see it, ty
I’m have the normal d-pad deck and I sit. See any screws on the top 😢
I just use black interlocking Velcro on the sides of the table for the joycons no need for mounts … Do you get and vibration with that side dock mount
I just have my switch dock on top of my back box also black interlocking Velcro does the job
No vibration on the side dock mount that I noticed
Any updates on button mapping from the switch?
Not compatible with atgames hardware
My Star Wars pinball keeps telling me to reconnect the joycons once I slide them on these mounts. Do you happen to know the solution?
Is this doable on the micro? I don't even have it yet but am looking at all the possibilities:)
Yep it's doable
@@PDubsArcadeLoft Awesome to hear, It arrives on Monday and am stoked. I probably wont do this for awhile seeing as it comes with the 50 games and I bought two 10 packs on the sale, but this such a cool option. I may go ahead and pre buy the 3d flipper holders so I'm ready. Thanks for the vid ;)
alright its settled then I'm getting the at legends pinball. All I gotta get is some extra joy cons and these two fb marketplace parts I just didn't want to commit a whole pc to play fx3 but I can commit a switch to it.
Yes you can
Any idea if these work with the 4k alp
That looks pretty good on there.
For six years I didn’t know that holding the home button turned on the switch lol this whole time I’ve been getting up and turning it on manually
Lol!
Cool add on, now I just need a AtGames pinball. Great video!
Thank you 👊 🤓
Pdubs are you still going to put out the toyshock Nintendo switch mod vid?
Yes once I figure out what I want to do with the backbox. That's the only thing left to finish.
@@PDubsArcadeLoft fantastic. Can’t wait
Officially licensed Nintendo Joy Cons working fine but third party does not, at least the ones I was trying to use
Yep just use official
This is a must for modded switches
What view is everyone using when the switch on the AG pinball?
Easiest mod you can ever do to your legends. I have the printed joy cons and also grabbed a cup holder and dock as well. i think I got them from the same seller as you... I posted my review on the atgames legends reddit.. Also, these tables go on sale for like $4.99 for a pack every week... so its also very cheap way to play as well
All great feedback thanks Kev
@@PDubsArcadeLoft I'm glad you did this video.. not many people know there is an alternative to play Fx3 without spending money for a souped up computer.. I hope your video gets more people to try this option out..
Does Michelle still make these?
Looking to order the joy con controller mounts but my ALP, doesn’t have screws in the original Top? Is it a new version? Any suggestions?
Nevermind, I just saw their message
Sorry just saw your comment they sell a different version if you're screws are on the side vs the top
I don’t think the joycon holders will work with the d-pad ALP. There aren’t screws on the top of that panel
That was a recent change - the new ALPs don't have screws like the old ones did.
I have a Wave 1 Pinball and both the original and the pinball control deck have them. If they changed things I wasn't aware of it, my apologies
@@PDubsArcadeLoft no worries! I didn’t even know you could connect a switch, so I’m glad you made this vid.
We will take note of this. Already have a side rail option designed but never released it as it was less ergonomic.
I have an original NOD version of the ALP with the screws on top and a second one that I picked up a few weeks ago from Sam’s with no screws. The buzzing haptics on the new ALP are far worse than the old one because the top panel isn’t screwed down to the melamine underneath it. I ended up popping off the rails and running hot glue between the top plastic panel and the melamine on the d-pad deck and it fixed the issue. Sometimes AtGames makes the weirdest decisions when they make “improvements”.
Very simple setup ❤️Impressive
Agreed very simple.
Compra el control arcade para nintendo switch y adaptalo a los botones queda mucho mejor..
I'm having problems with getting my machine to recognize my switch. I have the hdmi hooked up and used the otg setting but nothing. I've tried 2 hdmi cables. Do I also need the USB cable hooked up?
Ever get your problem resolved?
@NatsNewBeginning I did thanks
@@MikeDChill 👌🏾……Are you planning on playing it through the switch from now on, or maybe go PC later? PC is just too cumbersome for me right now…🤷🏽♂️
@NatsNewBeginning I actually hooked it up to my 86" TV and play it on there lol
@@MikeDChill Nice…LOL, I tried it on my flat screen the other day (55”)….Now I might try it on my 85” Samsung for kicks!….😂😂🤣👍🏾……I do like the nostalgia of the table, I just wish the controls would sync into the ALP’s flippers. All in all, I’m okay playing this way through the switch, as long as the tables I purchase are mine forever…If not (which I hear various rumors good and bad), I won’t support a company that takes away something you’ve already paid money for (Zen, I’m talking to you).
8 bit do arcade stick take it apart extended wires if you mod it's simple stock controls will work I've done it.
Interesting. Thanks PDubs
Most welcome brother

DAYUM!!!!!
Lol
That is so awesome and it was so easy to do I just tried it out and just bought The Walking Dead table thank you pdubs🤓👍🏻
You are most welcome my friend.
Awesome
Thank you 😊
That's Switch is a cool mod but those bumper button accessories are a horrid way to play. Might as well attach some toasters to your pinball game.
PDubs, an update: newer waves of ALP products do not have the built in screws used in this tutorial to mount the joycon holders. No worries. I'll carefully drill my own pilot holes and affix my own screws to my arcade control panel to attach the joycon holders, but check your machine before ordering to know exactly how you'll have to attach!
Yep wasn't aware of that since I have a Wave 1, my apologies
@@PDubsArcadeLoft No apologies necessary! How could you know? The maker of these joy con holders also probably has the Wave 1. It will be a relatively simple task to drill the joy con holders in, and well worth it. Don't regret ordering at all.
@@esmondkim1357 or maybe mount them on the side rails on the lower screws closest to the player
@@PDubsArcadeLoft Sorry to spam this comment with replies. But, Michelle Jordan, the maker of the joy con holders, actually included with my order a zip lock bag holding two wood screws of the exact perfect length to affix the holders to my front panel. Yes, I'll have to drill pilot holes very carefully, but she must be aware of this issue if she included the screws with my order. The length of the screws matches the thickness of the wood on the front panel, so I'm not worried at all about accidentally drilling through my panel to the other side. I do think you could also mount them to the side rails on the lowest screws closest to the front panel, if you choose. That would mean, though, your joy cons would be positioned vertically instead of in their natural horizontal orientation to the playfield. So, if you mount these to the side rail, you'll have to adjust your thinking when you use the right stick to nudge because the joycons won't be in their natural orientation to the playfield. I saw that Michelle Jordan does custom orders if you message with her on FB, so if I wanted side rail holders, I'd work with her for a custom order. Attaching these tonight and playing some Creature From the Black Lagoon and other FX3 and Stern Tables!!
@@esmondkim1357 great stuff here thanks for sharing
I hate to be “that guy” but WHAT A POINTLESS MOD! Or did I miss something ? Idk why would u wanna go thru all that use switch controllers instead of flipper buttons?
Go through all of what? 5 mins of screwing in 3 plastic accessories? Lol. I cover options and mods and saw this on etsy and since atgames OTG Mode is not compatible with switch it provides an option to those less technical. Thanks for watching?
Has ROBTURBOGA shared his solution for using the ALP controls with the switch that he spoke about a while back? Has anybody had a solution for that? Thanks.
Not that I follow
