      Personally, I think he should forget about lic, at least at first. His Moon Shot is awesome, and I bet he'd have no trouble designing other originals. Getting a mass manufacturer online would be my priority, then the game lic holders.
      Beautiful piece, and it looks like a great value to price.

    Looks like he’s sold out. Of course I have to say good for the designer huge success. Bad for me now though cause I have to wait LOL. Just keep my eye on it for when he has more. Might be worth waiting anyways, I want the one with lights but can’t stand battery only stuff. Maybe in future designs he’ll have a USB power brick setup as an option instead of batteries.
    This looks great and your demonstration looks like it functions perfectly. A must have when he has more ready.

    CoolToy,
    WOW! This is one AMAZING product!
    Do you know if this houses the original Switch, or the new OLED model? If this worked with the OLED, I'd buy an OLED Switch just for this specific purpose!
    If the ones who own Williams Tables aren't interested, has he thought about reaching out to Stern? A Godzilla would look great, or any number of their tables. Or how about the guys who brought out Labyrinth Pinball? And how about that Labyrinth topper? So many possibilities!
    This is something I'm going to need to keep an eye on. With the attention to detail, functionality, and very little assembly, I'm not interested in Sharpin any longer. Sharpin's not bad, but this thing is a work of art!

    • @cooltoy
      @cooltoy  6 месяцев назад +1

      @videogamevegas Yep it works with the original and OLED switch versions. Switch Lite isn't compatible since the controls aren't removable. Stern would definitely be a great alternative if the Williams licensing people don't want to ever respond. They have so many great looking tables that I would love to have as display pieces since I can't afford many of their full sized counterparts. Great suggestion!

    I just can't stop watching this. Killer review as always. I love the design and the thought put into it. I would only add one thing. It could use another hole on the side to charge the switch once it is inside the pinball. I have a secondary switch that I would like to leave as a dedicated mini pinball with this add on for my desk and that would be perfect to just charge it and never undock it.

Thank you for bringing this to switch owners attention and giving the creator some ad attention as he obviously designed this with immense love, creativity, and quality. If he can figure out a way to lighten that price up a bit, I have no dought he will sell a million of these things... Get this unit under a 100 bucks and they will fly off the shelves. Little advise, while o do love the packaging I'm pretty sure it's costly and the #1 way to cut costs a.d not compromise product quality

    Just noticed the creator of this mini Vpin made the same mistake Tulsa Arcade made with their Switch mini pin. The Switch’s top is to the Left. This means Pinball Arcade and Stern Pinball Arcade won’t work with this. Unless you can place your Switch in either direction.

    WOW, these are way cool and if I had the funds I would sure look in to getting one if for nothing else but the creativity of the design. I'll for sure bookmark the website to keep an eye on future products or possible licensing as this really is a next level product, as was the packaging.

      I’m really hoping he can get in touch with the licensors for some of the great pinball titles. He’s clearly got the talent to create an amazing product, and I know loads of people would be on board with buying mini versions of some of their favorite pinball games.

      @@cooltoy Sadly, I've seen this type of situation to many times in the past, and unless the licensing holder is truly a fan or a suit that doesn't have a stick where the sun don't shine, these never go anywhere. Often these fan projects make them look bad, or they don't see the money to be made once they have to cut the creator in on the profits. I'll keep me fingers crossed, as this product for sure deserves a wider audience, but at the same time, I won't be holding my breath.

    1/5th scale? OOOOOOOOOOO So close. If it had been 1/6th, then the scale would be perfect to fit with the New Wave Toys 1/6th scale Arcade Replica Machines.

    • @cooltoy
      @cooltoy  6 месяцев назад

      the nintendo switch screen would have had fitment issues if the scale was any smaller than it currently is.

    Id love to see one with a digital display. I cant see why a tiny lcd screen in the back wouldnt work...and it could emulate any back board and have a working dot matrix.
    This project needs to be a thing now so i hope this is successful and evolves asap... BECAUSE I CANT WAIT = TAKE MY MONEY!!!

    While this is indeed very cool/inventive, the pragmatic side of me can't swallow half the cost of a Switch/Steam Deck for this, especially as I don't own that many tables in FX3 on the Switch. But then, I doubt the target market for this care much for pragmatism.

    This looks like the etsy ones but better ...but also not quite good if you prefer known IPs.
    Not sure how legal the etsy ones are though as in asia... but theyre very cool, though not as cool as these!
    They all need to combine so we have the best ips with the best , most accurate tables.
    My only wish would be for a chargeable long life battery pack instead of separates.
    Theyre $159.00 / $269.00 which isnt cheap but they're very nice ...though he's already sold out haha Good for him! Now we need better and more varied switch virtual pin tables to match.
    The twilight table is awesome and id love to see a matching data east starwars and a circus Voltaire haha Then i could put them next to those 3 full size tables in my games room! 😀 Great find cooltoys!

      yeah it's crazy good, I can't even fathom the amount of trial and error something like that took to figure out and dial in appropriately.

    Sorry for all the questions, Doug,, so it looks like you have to take the switch out to switch games and start the game and then slide it in since there’s no access to the actual buttons???

    • @cooltoy
      @cooltoy  6 месяцев назад +1

      What I’ve been doing is starting pinball fx on my switch in handheld mode, and then taking my joy cons off, placing them in the machine and then sliding the screen in, then it’s ready to play. When you are done playing, you can then press the home button and select another pinball game you might have downloaded, but in reality the zen studios stuff is pretty much the only ones worth playing like this due to their more robust controls and camera view settings.

      @@cooltoy thank you ,, FX 3 , you can have two controllers hooked up at once , so you could use a different controller to select games and not have to take it out at all
