One thing that I find refreshing about you, Dan... is that you're grateful for what you find and aren't cursing your claim. You go out in hopes of finding gold, but don't get mad if you don't find any or just a little. I really enjoy your channel, sir
Dan, you are one of the few pillars of sanity that have kept the world sane the last few months. Thank you for this, and every other, video you have (ever) posted!
Such a humble man, we need more people like you in this world Dan! You got me heavy into it, first day out I found some good pickers and a really good spot to dig on our new claim. The whole time I’m telling my wife “this is where Dan would dig I know it” lol
How could we not enjoy spending the day with you. You educate us every show. You are teaching us rookies the things we need to look for. Funny story for your. I was an underground good miner for 26 years in Nevada. Could have cared Lee's about the gold. Now years later I want to go pan gold. Thank you Dan love your channel
Hey Dan, I'm new to your channel and I've been watching many of your videos already. You are the Bob Ross of prospecting, the David Attenborough of gold. I really like the relaxed atmosphere of your videos. Please keep doing what you do!
Something about the way the Fraser flows, that I find mesmerizing. I could watch that river all day long. I'm close to the South Branch of the Potomac. It's a pretty river, but nothing like the Fraser. Nice gold out there too.
Hey Dan just wanted to let you know that I went out and tried to find gold yesterday and found my first one it was fun and thanks for making good vids that inspires people like me
I like your thinking and reasoning. Part science and part intuition. I understand not having the steam. I like to hunt for rocks and lately with an achy knee, that will only get better if I have surgery, I can't walk much and "run out of steam," like you say.
I love it when Dan sits buy the river panning and looks at the camera for a split second and back down to the pan. It so reminds me of when Tom Hanks is trying to start a fire in the movie cast away, and he starts talking to Wilson... Dan you should name your camera Wilson, would be awesome.
You earned my subscription today. I found a few of your older videos and fell down the golden rabbit hole. Seeing you post just two days ago made me realize this is something I could follow on the regular
I never comment on youtube videos, but in a time of uncertainty and negativity everywhere it's a relief to find such a relaxing video to watch, keep it up man. Definitely earned a subscriber today
I have not tried panning for gold. It looks interesting. After watching you video, I have concluded that you have the patience of Job. It would be difficult for me to sift through all that dirt for a few grains of gold. I guess that is what you have to do in order to find the big nuggets. You fit the part of what I imagine a gold prospector would look like. All you need is a donkey or borough carrying a few burlap sacks and a pick axe. I like the scenery too.
Thank you for the return trip hoping to catch the next handful of pickers. Those views alone are worth the gold recovered. Keep safe and stay healthy my friend David out.
Love the quite you enjoy. Every video is informative and so interesting. I just wish I was physically able to come join you. God bless you and your family. You sir are truly blessed as we all are. Getting to watch your videos.
Hi Dan, I really hope you find the spot that seems to be the source. I really love watching your videos. Here in the UK as you may already know, there is nothing like the gold you find in BC. Although small amounts can be found in some rivers (I have read). The best place would be Wales and some parts of Scotland. The amount of gold found from panning is often small and - similar to other hobbies - much of the enjoyment in panning is derived from the act itself. Besides, in the UK any gold found is often Crown estate owned anyway, so selling would be "Technically" in breach of Crown estate regs. (Boooo!) So for now, I'm happy to watch you do all the legwork. Carry On Sir...
Good job Dan, that big flake stuck to the cobble was an excellent snag. Looking at that beautiful river gets me to wondering if the river might not have some delicious finny meals swimming about? Good gold and tasty fish, can't beat that with a stick!
Honestly after isolation is over u can do a colab with one of the catch and cook people and camp over a night would make for some good footage if pauly added in his two cents
Great video Dan! Very relaxing its always awesome to see some pickerton gold! Man you are killing the game! Subs are flying in views are great. Good Luck!
Wow! What a great crevice. Looks like someone was doing some landscaping. Every shot of you checking your pan, I'm holding my breath and waiting for the "woo hoo!". If it doesn't come - heavy sigh. 😊 Thanks Dan for another great video.
Dan, there's not a video that goes by with you that I fail to wind up smiling and just feeling more positive from watching your simple joy in being there and doing what you do. Thank you so much! You can turn a bad day around just by posting. :) PS...ever used one of Fossicker.com 's rectangular green pans? I have one I picked up at a yard sale and don't really know how to get the best out of it.....?
You help ease me into a nice calm place every night. Love your videos and you have earned my subscription. lol Always been fascinated by geology and minerology so this just satisfies and satiates my curiosity lol
At this point, the real gold is enjoying nature and having fun with what you love, I can't even go out for a walk, only to the pharmacy or to buy groceries, nothing else. Great video with good chunky gold. :D
You're the best social distancer out there Dan. If everyone would do the same...well, that would ruin nature. Keep up the good work. Wishing you good health.
“I hope to earn your subscription”. That did it for me buddy! Sold! Awesome channel and I’ve watched about 5 videos so far. Crazy pumped to watched the others. GOLD!!!!!!!

Dan, be very happy that you've found those pickers. Here in SW Florida the only gold we have here is when the tourists drop their rings!
