Quick tip with the build, if you are 2 handing your weapon you gain a 1.5× bonus to your Str stat so by getting your Str to 66 you effectively have 99 Str. Thus is helpful if you need the extra levels for Health or Endurance!
You have to get to the grace fast enough to rest before it fully dies. If you get the dragon hearts before you rest it's too late and the dragon will not respawn.

i put maliketh armor on my guts build. it is basically the berserker armor in this game

Now we have Armor of Solitude!
Maliketh armor works really well but the night's cavalry armor is also top notch for a guts cosplay.

No, actually you can beat game with any weapon, it could be harder/easier but thats also depends on playstyle ;)
