The DLC kicked my ass 😅 I went straight to Belurat, not knowing what was waiting for me there. I usually go in blind but I might consider following your progression guide. I'll try again tomorrow and then I'll make a decision. Thanks for all the guides
I started the DLC today at level 280 from the base game. Didn't know anything about the mechanics and went to a random camp close by the first Grace. Rushed in all cocky and got absolutely murdered by two soldiers and a flaming dog. Got humbled quick!
Lol I love that you're so Humble, I lost a few Npc quests in the Base Game but I'm still trying to complete the the others, however i keep finding the lift in Volcano manor not working and I'm stumped how to get operating? i need the seedbed curse to complete Dung Eaters quest!
This feels like it’s going to be as deep, if not deeper than the secrets in the base game. I just played about 30 mins of it and am hooked again. I had a 262 blood build I took into the DLC and it feels ok. I’m sure I’ll need to change up soon. Can’t wait to try these new weapons
@@kratos97261it's lame so far. I respect my health lower to 55 and an getting rect. I haven't played Elden Ring in a while. Bloodborne, demon souls etc. Just one shot by everyone. I'm old and not quick to judge., but feels like it's gonna be a big gimmick. Already feel like the map sucks.
I did absolutely everything I possibly could on a new character until right before I burned the erdree! In literal perfect time for this to drop today! It’s amazing!
Thanks, Fextra 🙏🏽 I just jumped into the Shadow Realm. It looks gorgeous, & the slow start is a surprising welcome after the past couple weeks of intense base-game bosses 😄
It's crazy how like soft and lazy you get when your immensely over powered in the main game and going back to barley chipping hp bars and getting 1 tapped 😂
Thanks Fex!! Your guides are excellent and much appreciated!! I’m excited to dive into this expansion after taking some time off. This guide is perfect for me!
I have it downloaded and started it yesterday but put it down fast. I have to wait til after work today when I have a few days off, because I can tell I’m going to be sucked into this for a while. lol. Exciting release!!!
I'm loving the dlc, haven't had much of a struggle like lots of people have had so far. My main issue is the map itself, I feel like it's just throwing me all over the place. Base game it didn't really feel like that to me and it's almost an overwhelming feeling. I can't ever make up my mind which way to go. Like at castle ensis, I could go through the castle. Or I could choose to go right or left at the bridge. If I go right I have a choice to continue going right or go down into some pit that leads to a poison swamp mountain cave area that leads to another area or go the other way and come across a tree spirit in a ravine or another way over the waterfall. I keep finding myself advancing one way so far then going back and advancing another way because I am so unsure lol.
Great video I was so excited to be playing the dlc i didnt even realize i had a bunch of scadu fragments and revered spirit ashes sitting in my inventory. 😂
I used the duel greatswords and blasphemous blade build and changed my whole gaming experience I mastered it from the beginning I got it and was the hardest game you helped much and now I have DLC so better to learn first
If you go with the build with the stone shield and mohg spear you can have a easy life, trust me, 50 str for shield and arcane for the spear to proc bleed. The shield can absorb any dmg without you taking dmg for all the moobs and some boss atks
I finally am playing the DLC since last night and I went towards Belurat Tower. I suppose it doesn’t really matter which way I go, but this itches that exploration scratch I’ve been wanting in a game for a while.
Few minutes in the dlc, almost got killed by surprisingly tought dancing omen, harrassed by birds aand worms, and a surprise encounter with naked man armed with a claw. Typical souls experience.
On the wiki on the top are tabs. Go to the character tab and you will see PVE and PVP builds. There are some for base game and DLC based builds. Hope it helps

Exactly where I'm at with the game. Had to re-learn the keybindings, and my timing is way off for dodges. Not sure If im going to reroll a new character or keep my level 165
Another great video, I’ve been trying to find a guide without (major) spoilers as I haven’t got the DLC and this is it. It sounds like all enemies hit hard and can 2-3 shot players, even at 60 vigor. Is there a way to level up in the DLC to counter this? Or is it just part of Shadow of the Erdtree whatever your level?
I'm still using your Lightning Dragoon guide with the Bolt of Gransax and having a great time =) I really like how spears play and hope there are some in the DLC =) just beat the Dancing lion 1st boss.
