Today I watched this Video and still found new game mechanics. I really think, a game is messed Design, wenn Players with nearly 100 hours don't got the mechanics!
I haven't watched the whole video yet. I stopped on sprinting to comment this because I find it an odd feature, don't forget you can 'sprint' while crouched/stealthed.
@@ryangeorge2982 well of course that still uses FP. Swinging your weapon still consumes stamina outside of combat too. Really has nothing to do with what I was saying.
I bought this game today, first souls game ever for me. Played it for a couple of hours and I just love how alluring it feels. I know I'll be bad for a while but I want to get good lol
@@punchghp8425 I've now killed two story bosses and a couple of optional ones. It really helped to just explore and upgrade my weapons. Currently using the Bloodhound's fang. I killed Godrick on the second try, Margit took me like 15 tries but I didn't have the fang when I killed him. His attacks were VERY hard to read.
@@lionofallah3441 Around 25 I think. I started as a Vagabond, so I had a good starting point for a melee playstyle. I suggest finding every golden seed and tear you can for better healing if you're having trouble.
I want to add some of my tips for playing 130hrs and first time playing. - Learn to auto lock single enemies. Worst part is missing a hit. Useful for those Ball scarabs while on Horseback and trying to hit them while moving. - try to have and use different weapons for different situations. Daggers & Mace weapons are very quick to swing. Useful for weak enemies. Samurai swords, swords, scythes or great for Horseback. My favorites is BloodHound Fang or Halo Scythe. Slow but has good reach and strong. - try to use a shield or incantation on Left hand for different situations. Sometimes having shields on you can parry but can’t use Right special abilities. It’s good to switch to incantation hand. -Early strategy to get Runes, weapons and armor is just killing Soldiers. Practice sneaking and stab them in the back(RB button) does more damage. Also jumping does more damage than light attack. If you’re low level just run away and come back. Always check of how much runes to level up. Want to put points in HP first. Endurance later on for stamina and to carry more weight. The other stats Dex, Faith, Arcane, Intelligence I would slowly move up, base on what weapons you want to use. Keep them at 20 at first, till you get an idea of what build you want to be. You can re-spec your stats later. Or just keep all under level 60. The highest level is 713. That is every stat at level 99. Which is overboard. There is a Hard Cap, I think is 60, where you barely get anything for putting any points in. - try to Explore Map. Look for Merchants, Tree Seeds, Maps and have Fun.
Also always grind out the next lvl up when you're close before trying a boss or exploring anew area, losing like 80% worth of a level multiple times adds up
@@mylespando5192 The other Stats depends on what weapons you want to use. Are you doing Magic or Strength? It’s good that the game lets you Re-Spec your Stats. So your Stats depends on what Weapons you can use.
Trade in Rykard's Remembrance for the Blasphemous Blade, then pour runes into leveling Faith. It scales with Faith. Then equip the Erdtree Seal and level up so it reaches S-Class Faith Scaling. Now I only pour runes into Vigor, Dex and Faith. Mostly Faith now at Level 109. This build replaced my Bloodhound Fang Bleed build. It's truly overpowered.
A lot of new players don't know this but tons of enemies can be farmed repeatedly to get a rare item to drop. And if you're keen to do this, any extra points you have in arcane increase your drop chances of those rares!
I appreciate it! I didn’t know I could farm stuff for loot. I thought drops were kinda one time things and scripted for the first time killing and then after just maybe crafting or ruin. Glad I know otherwise!
I found a gargoyle helmet in the catacombs from one of those small green guys and its 3x the stats of my start out helmet… crazy and thats how i found out i could farm for drops. Certain enemies drop certain items if you farm them enough. Do you know where i can find a better start out armor for warrior?
@@fleezy1579 a really good armor for a warrior is right at the beginning at the first camp. Kill the knight commander of the camp you can get every item off him including his chest piece. Respawn at the south side grace and you can use a bow to shoot one shot at him to get his attention without drawing aggro from all the other soldiers. After farming him about 50 times I had all pieces of the set. I can wear everything except the shield which requires a ton of str
The only stat that is affected by two handing is strength and nothing else. So if you’re short on strength then you can try it. If you’re short on any other stat it literally does nothing. Two handing a weapon will give you half of your strength amount added on to what you already have. Example if you have 30 strength and you two hand a weapon it will be like you have 45 strength. Thus when players do a pure str build they generally stop at 66 strength as two handing a weapon will be like you have 99.
Two-handing also has other effects as well that are much more important than the strength: The attacks are noticeably faster and do a lot more to fill the poise meter. If you want to test this, use any colossal/great weapon and it is much more noticeable.
To add, two handing can unlock an entirely different move set for certain weapons.... the wolverine claws are an example of this, mediocre on one hand, great when 2 handed.
One other tip with the spirit springs... when you jump, you will go in the direction you are facing. I did not know this and assumed it worked like a wind current that guided you to a fixed spot no matter what. WRONG. I lept 100ft into the air and dove straight into the depths of the ocean lmao
Your comment made me laugh out loud. I wish that I too was not defeated by my own trust in the spiraling winds of the lands between. Lol but here we are. Also I finally got the nerve to challenge myself in a fight beyond my abilities, then got rammed to death by a- yep you guessed it, an upseghtti spaghetti, rage quit tempting, Ram. - just .008 seconds after enemy felled. GRRR! lol I feel your pain. Word of advice, watch your backside for it WILL be rammed at any unexpected moment. And NEVER open a menu with low health. It isn't safe here. Haha At least they are really great about leaving your runes in reach. That is something I am grateful they considered. Happy gaming! My fellow Tarnished friend.
Thank you! Honestly these stats are hard enough to understand when you're looking at them. So you can imagine all the questions I have during game play. This was one of them. So hard to find the answer. Thanks so much!
I love and hate this at the same time. Anytime I forget to two hand before mounting Torrent I always feel obligated to get back off and two hand before proceeding
YES I hated this game at first but I Watched the noob guide on RUclips it’s a 2 hour long video but it will definitely help guide you to become a stronger character! It has got me to a level 6 sword with level 25-30 character plus and so much more!
Really? Elden ring is my first souls game & it turned out easier then I thought. DEFINITELY a challenge don’t get me wrong but I thought souls games were like impossible. Then again I am only like 5 hours in. Fantastic game & makes me wanna play the other souls games. Didn’t have that much trouble with elden ring so far & I suck at video games lol
When you come upon land squirts (the things that stand in shallow water and look like a weird cross between a turtle, slug and some creepy mollusk, that spray poison or rot mist into the air,) you can overload them with the same affinity via bow. So if you see land squirts that spray poison mist, you can shoot them with a poison arrow and it'll overload them and cause them to explode. There are a couple places where this trick comes in super handy.
A point about the silver scarabs: as soon as you hit them, they'll try rolling away and eventually will disappear. But as long as you keep landing hits on them periodically, they reset their escape animation. So it's better to land a hit every few seconds, than a bunch of hits all at once and then have no stamina left to finish it off.
I find fighting some bosses on horseback quite exciting actually, I took down Agheel last night on horseback and I had a blast weaving around and through his legs, him retreating and me charging after him like dualists, my favourite experience with a boss thus far in the game.
Just a little tip for people having trouble with stealth stabs like I was: you have to be completely still when you hold light attack, dont move the left stick in any direction or it will just light attack. Which makes it kind of a pain for moving enemies you try to stealth kill
Small tip my buddy figured out is that you can interact with the walking mausoleums and when you do you can choose a single remembrance to duplicate. With that in mind you can turn them both in for BOTH rewards
@@ironman82tr I copied this from the wiki for you, one of these probably applies to your issue: - Only one use per Mausoleum, pick wisely! - There is currently a glitch that causes Remembrances to not show up in the duplication menu. Going away and coming back at a later time seems to fix this issue, sometimes. - It should be noted that you cannot regain a Remembrance Weapon that you have already obtained (in the same playthrough at least). - Mausoleums without a bell seem to have a limited pool of Remembrances you can choose from. - The Castle Sol and Consecrated Snowfield Mausoleums appear to be bugged for some people where using one of them renders the other unusable but this seems to not apply to everyone
Scarabs also come in other colors depending on the type of item inside. There are gold ones with holy arts, different color blue ones with magic arts inside, different color red ones with blood arts inside etc.
When you do normal attacks near a ledge and the drop from it would kill you, the game keeps you from goinfg over the edge. If you fall down, it's safe.
@@jphosathe thing that puts me off Sekiro is, from what I’ve seen, when you lose a boss fight you can’t just redo the boss fight, you also have to make your way back to the boss through loads of other enemies
@@robertmurphy1974 No, you can just skip the enemies to the bosses. Sekiro have speedrun around 20 minutes (some of the fastest) and the speed runner just skip some mini bosses and enemies
I have about 100 hours in this game and I still learned something, both the rainbow stones and the cracked pot tips were super nice to know, thanks man
Not sure if comment section brought it up yet but another way to find out if a fall will kill you or not with a little bit of chaos, spam light attack and if you fall off while attacking you will not die. If you get locked into an invisible wall then try to turn away from the edge so you don't die. =D
Finding another copy of a talisman doesn't result in a +1. For instance you'll always find Spelldrake Talisman +1 behind a sealed door in Sellia Town whether you got the regular Spelldrake Talisman from Runebear or not.
Couple tricks. 1) If you’re in a pinch or need to step away and want to actually pause the game, you can go into a menu (e.g. Equipment menu) then hit view button (on Xbox) then hit “Menu Explanation”. I find this to be real clutch. I imagine this works on other platforms. 2: If you’re stuck on a boss and keep dying in the fight area, losing your runes, you can enter the fight area, grab your dropped runes, and then quit to the main menu. This way you don’t feel like you either have to beat the boss or lose all your runes. You can just grab the runes and come back later when stronger
Agreed, I really liked the video. I've played DS3 and DeS, and have 40hrs in ER so far, and still learned a ton of new stuff. Faster ladder climbing?!!!
Somethings I realized today :golden runes can be sold to merchants for the same amount as if you used them (just a time saver). There are pictured map markers to go along with the blue markers.
Just wanted to offer some clarification to anyone coming across this video in regard to 2-handing a weapon: I couldn't figure out how to put away my offhand to dual-wield my primary weapon (on PC w/ Xbox controller) like you talk about at 6:15 of the video. You have to hold Y and then press RB to put away your offhand item, if you hold Y and then press LB it will put away your primary item.
@@MrParis215 yeah dude I would say it’s worth it for sure. This is the first souls game I’ve played and I like it, I would say it’s like ghost of Tsushima or jedi fallen order on extra hard mode mixed with Shadow of the Colossus.
@@MrParis215 oh dude they are amazing games ! There’s no other games like the souls games! Just takes a lot of patience and alot of dying lol, but once you pass a boss or a place you’ve bin stuck at , it’s so satisfying! but no bro I think you’ll really like the game man 👌 I’d give it a try for sure
Something I discovered and wanted to share. If you use frost damage on the arch dragon up at fort Faroth, you can rack up 10,000+ dmg thus killing him faster.
Thank you. This was very helpful given how this is my first game tied to Dark Souls. I'm sure that I'll fair much better now. I've restarted a few times just to get the feel of some classes and figuring out what keepsakes are worth it to me and which aren't. (I'd recommend the golden seed, so you get an extra flask). I have to say that even though the prisoner has been said to be better for more experienced players I'm enjoying playing it a lot. Especially after realizing the magic glintblade can backstab someone I'm fighting if aiming properly :) One thing I really like about this game is since there are no racials in it I can go with whatever look I want without worrying if I'm shooting myself in the foot stat wise.
Two-handing only boosts *Strength specifically, not simply *a stat. Also, I never knew the spirit springs could be used in reverse. I did wonder what would happen if I jumped down onto one, but never actually tried it yet.
Took me honestly over 9 hours to really love that game! Was worth the wait and blood! 😂 But as my first fromsoft game, I finally get why you guys loved those games!
First game I ever played in souls I’m more into monster hunter tbh as a veteran I played sekiro all the way to the final battle which I’m still on…and I’m only 20 hours in like level 39 and beat godrick and a huge tree and plenty dungeon bosses this game is unbelievably cool in every aspect and it feels good to get those juicy swords I stuck with vagabond str8 up close n personal baby 😏
I didn’t finish the last boss in sekiro. It’s an unfair fight and you’ll lose all your items (don’t remember what they’re called). Shame cause it was a good game
@@timmypantelis8489 what are you talking about? He is completely beatable without a single item, the only bosses that require any item to beat are the headless and they only require divine confetti and can actually be beaten entirely by deflection. Demon of Hatred doesn't even require items either, though the umbrella helps, and he is harder and far more bullshit than Sword Saint. Hell, if you could beat the apes San firecracker, there isn't a single.boss you can't beat in this game. The one thing you may want, the lightning return, is given to you permanently before the first boss that uses it. I take it you haven't beaten Owl then?
I appreciate what you said at the beginning of this video. One thing I wish I knew was just how snobby and elite the attitudes would be from some Dark Souls vets. It reminded of when I first started playing WoW four years after it came out.
I just picked up Elden Ring yesterday for my birthday. Super Excited to try it out. As always Legacy Gaming you knock it out of the park. I am a total noob at this game, and these tips are going to help a lot. I have never played any souls game. I am ready for a part 2.
I know I'm late to the party, but since this guide is beginner-friendly, I would have suggested also adding a tip about dialogue, specifically to always keep talking to NPCs until they either repeat what they just said or no longer talk to you. This concept was completely alien to me when starting FromSoft games, because it just doesn't make sense that the NPC wouldn't say everything there is to say the first time around, and that you have to PESTER them to get anywhere in the game. So, always exhaust dialogue - sometimes there's a quest, teleport, or free item at the end of it.
My first game I played from these creator's. Man I had a hard time figuring it out haha. I wanted to get it my self, so I got most down, but I feel like I'm still missing a lot of info. I'm getting the hang of it. Badass game! My new favorite
Another fun fact about poison and just being dirty in general: You can get soap throughout the game and clean your self without resting at Grace, and it also removes poison buildup logically enough lol
I want to add that stonesword keys can also be purchased if you haven’t noticed already. I also noticed if you tap sprint with torrent and you equip and Unequip the weapon at the same time repeatedly, torrent has unlimited sprint. You just need to keep doing it. You can kill a merchant and take what they drop to the round table to be able to purchase what they had. If you dismount torrent right before you get hit, you may avoid getting hit yourself. Just small tips
Like I have said in the past you guys put out the absolute best content tutorials and info videos 💯. I can't wait to start this game next week on my vacation from work.
Also top tip when trying to get the fire pillars to go down without a bow or find fake walls.. if you have Margits or Mohg's Shackles you can use these items and lower the fire pillars and also take out fake walls ;-)
I'm a veteran souls player and there is definitely stuff in here I didn't know. Big one was switching to offhand weapon on horseback. I was going into the menu each time to switch my staff.
@@ensulalachance8353 Yes you can pretty much charge up any incantation by holding down the button. Increases damage and sometimes range as well. I don't know if it costs more FP though
@@bluepill8077 I really recommend you use it! Your charged R2, jumping attacks and guard counters are very good for dealing poise damage and opening your enemies up for critical hits. Wouldn't have made it past some bosses without
one correction: you can use your special ability (L2/RT) while dual wielding weapons as long as they are both of the same type (i.e. 2x longsword, or 2x Greatsword, or 2x Hammer etc.)
??? You don't need powerstance weapons to use your right hand weapon skill bro. All dual wielding the same class of weapons in both hands does is replace your guard button with the dual wield attack. The weapon ash has nothing to do with this.
The console version the PS5 version is amazing Elden ring is a masterpiece in my opinion it will be the game I look at user now to compare with other open world games
Awesome as a guy who is just now starting his first ever Elden Ring play through because the shadow of the Erdtree DLC looks awesome I must say, these tips should really help
As a new mage player, this was extremely helpful!! Especially about the ashes of War! I already knew I wasn't able to use it duel wielding, so thank you for that tip!
Some more advice on ashes of war: apart from changing the weapon's special ability they can also change the weapon's scaling, so if you're playing mage you might find an ash of war that will put intelligence scaling on it
3:38 It’s actually so much simpler to add the flasks of tears to your pouch and use them that way. Same with the spectral steed whistle and the rune arc
By-Far one of the best Beginner & Tips Spoiler Free Videos out there, and I am tens of hours In & the game (relishing) & did not know about the 'Ashes of War:No Skill' Use! TY Guys.
Bought elden ring 2 days ago as a new souls player this game is top tier and I absolutely love it finally paid $65 for a game I absolutely love and im enjoying very much
Souls vet here since demon's souls and I learn something even though I have 50 hours in Elden Ring. Please do a part 2. I also watch this videos from legacy because I know I learn something
I am learning a lot, I’ve been playing for about two weeks now and I’ve gotten to beat the Tree Sentinel and the Dragon at Agheel Lake. As well as the Night Cavalry. Feeling super confident and just trying to keep leveling my character as I go along
I had so much fun with this game.My first playthrough. This was my first souls like game experience and trust me, I was very, very intimidated and yes, I used guides on RUclips too. Help me on my way. But ultimately, what I loved most about this game was There is no difficulty level and the game is as hard as you allow it to be. What I mean by that is if you go and rush off, do encounters that are difficult. Where the enemy kills you in one or two hits. You can leave and go and level up and come back later, Because the world is so big and there is so much to find. It wasn't a chore to go and Level up. In fact, I would go and explore as much as I could before doing the main parts in an area so that 1 I faced the hardest enemies in the area. I was already so powerful that the fights really weren't that difficult.
Been intrigued by this game for a long time but always looked too difficult. I bought it two days ago and haven't been able to put it down. It's my first souls game and I've no idea what's going on. I'm dying a lot but I keep coming back for more! Thanks for this video, helps a lot. I'm excited to watch your other videos on ER.
I’m new to souls but I feel like I’m missing something. Yes this video explains a lot but at the beginning I’m stuck trying to figure out how the game work. I’m so weak with no clue how to get loot. Idk what’s going on how to use combat. How to figure out loot. Is there a video explaining any of this
one tip ill give you as a fellow new player, if you ever played skyrim, or any other elder scroll game, you gotta take a moment and figure your essentials, and how to improve them, every enemy has a pattern you can dodge/exploit to a degree, they are telegraphed. id say for a few lives take your time getting a feel for distancing, and what moves your enemies will use at an distance, and up close to close in on you. do not just hold too many runes otherwise on death, you will get salty, always update your armor/ weapons with new and more impressive stuff. in a new area search for the nearest site of grace.
Great vid! You should add advice for PC players regarding special abilities controls. Apparently, PC players need to change heavy attack in the keybinding settings in order to use 2nd special attacks from weapons that have 2 abilities (ie. moonveil katana horizontal special) Shout out to skrillex544 for the info!
12:26 dodge rolling over the skull also breaks it in case you don't want to mount up, or don't feel like swatting at it 500x just to get the correct angle.
Within the first minute of the video I decided to subscribe just because of how in touch with the fan base you are, clearly not some watch mojo tutorial💯
I'm not a Dark Souls God or anything but this game is so one-sided and unfair its ridiculously funny. This game was designed to kill you get that in your head now. The damage is unreal how hard enemies hit. Yet your damage output is so low you would cause more damage with a wooden spoon. I hate this game but it has beaten me down so much that I refuse to let it defeat me....lol. it's personal now. Almost everything you face is OP I have never been so cautious to encounter with any game I ever played but that's what makes it fun.
Use str/dex or quality till you get far enough to reliably collect all the stuff you need for a magic build. Get far enough in early game to unlock respeccing. Respec into magic. Big boy damage numbers
Thanks for the feedback, fellas. I'm starting to get the hold of what's going on now... lol Things really changed when I finally got my steed. I started farming the same location a few hours and then sold items to level up pretty quickly. Changing to the samurai helped also. I started with Confessor class because of fashion souls, but I was getting slaughtered with the broad sword Oh yeah... it didn't help when opening the secret chest that teloports you to the Crystal cave area that happily flogged me into running in the Caelid / Poisonous alien lake area. And two 12ft wingless crows gorilla stomped me out. I swear I thought I was in the 12th circle of hell...it really had me defeated, so I deleted and started over.
@@black8thelement8008 ah thanks great. I play a confessor and I just got ported into that cave. XD sounds like fun. I found confessor ok so far. Blocking then counterstrike is cool. But i also just looked up a build and tipps cause I was about to throw my tower out of the window and quit gaming forever. 😅
Extra pro tip: if you want to reach down a far ledge, use torrent then click jump at the edge and double jump a decent height before the ground. Only the distance from the second jump is considered
@LegacyGaming thanks as someone who has had the game since December 2022 and is just now finally embarking on this journey that has seemed cool but has been pretty intimidating due to the openly stated difficulty of the experience but, I have finally decided with the trailers for the shadow of the Erdtree DLC looking badass I figured now is the time for me to dive in head first into the world of Elden Ring as my first ever Souls Experience
I haven't been playing very long and knew about going up/down ladders faster (as well as being able to use flasks), but actually hadn't even considered that you could attack (makes sense you can, I just never even thought to try). Also, you can roll over the skulls to break them. I didn't start playing until patch 1.08, but heard a lot of grief on the struggles of attacking those skulls initially. Rolling over them while moving around is quick and easy as well.
Nah I just started last night and I’ve been looking at guides all day 🤣 too hard to figure out so I just watch others do it so I can do it and not waste time dying lol.
Newbie here. 20hrs in. Superb game. Veteran RPG gamer of 21 years. First FSW game. Excellent imagination & creation of creatures. That Hand/Fingers monster is proper frightening to see, reminiscent of the monster spiders 🕷️ in Skyrim. In a funny way, far more creepy 😮. Awesome game tho, luv exploring & crafting, so much to do. Defo a learning curve which is highly refreshing when it comes to RPG-ing. Watched Legacy Games & Eurogamer vids, both excellent & highly informative. ER will defo be if not the then definitely a Top 3 of all time games.
At first I watched all these videos about how to get the best weapon etc. and I played about to level 90 but a lot of the time I felt stuck not knowing what to do. So I started a new l game and started using armour/cookbooks and not the best weapon, instead scaling a very basic early game weapon for now and crafting. So much more fun.
Thank you for this video, I was so very lost and overwhelmed in my discovery of soul like game(s). So far I'm getting accustomed to it. There's a lot of "head" or lack there of in the while glowing messages to the point I barely check them now.
i just got this game on my gaming laptop and man.. its beautiful! ive only played sekiro and just a little of dark souls 1.. and im having a blast being a bandit… 1-shotting fools from behind!
I made almost to the end thinking i wasnt about to learn a damn thing, and then you showed the throwing the stone off cliff to check survivability trick... Nice! Ive playing all FS games and did not know that. Probably a rare use but happy to learn something new!

Also always grind out the next lvl up when you're close before trying a boss or exploring anew area, losing like 80% worth of a level multiple times adds up
Why does everyone always say to do vigor first but never say what level to get it to before focusing on other stats
@@mylespando5192 The other Stats depends on what weapons you want to use. Are you doing Magic or Strength? It’s good that the game lets you Re-Spec your Stats. So your Stats depends on what Weapons you can use.
Thanks man
Trade in Rykard's Remembrance for the Blasphemous Blade, then pour runes into leveling Faith.
@@fleezy1579 I found that one, too in some catacombs. I got the weapon they drop as well
I got 20 Arcane BC I need that glorious loot
The only stat that is affected by two handing is strength and nothing else. So if you’re short on strength then you can try it. If you’re short on any other stat it literally does nothing. Two handing a weapon will give you half of your strength amount added on to what you already have. Example if you have 30 strength and you two hand a weapon it will be like you have 45 strength. Thus when players do a pure str build they generally stop at 66 strength as two handing a weapon will be like you have 99.
Great bit of information, appreciate you sharing with the community
Unless you’re a ultra giga Chad and want to powerstance colossals
Two-handing also has other effects as well that are much more important than the strength:
The attacks are noticeably faster and do a lot more to fill the poise meter.
If you want to test this, use any colossal/great weapon and it is much more noticeable.
Facts, so no 50% dex increase for 2h unfortunately
To add, two handing can unlock an entirely different move set for certain weapons.... the wolverine claws are an example of this, mediocre on one hand, great when 2 handed.
The flasks refill a certain amount depending on how many/how strong the enemies you killed were, so it’s not always 3 charges
True, a lot of elites can fill all of them
One other tip with the spirit springs... when you jump, you will go in the direction you are facing.
Haha
At least they are really great about leaving your runes in reach. That is something I am grateful they considered.
Happy gaming! My fellow Tarnished friend.
" You died "
Jajajjajajjaja this just happened to me earlier this morning
On the beach right lol. Same.
if you get on a mount while two handing a weapon those stats stick even though you are one handing it on Torrent, super useful
You can also hold the sprinting button when crouching to move faster behind enemies.

Crouch sprint - the stuff of legends
Brooo 😭 thank you lol
I needed this 😅 I lasted 1 hour in the game before I rage quit. Elden Ring is different to other games.
It’s certainly a different beast. Glad the video helped, and thanks for stopping by the channel!
hello pewdiepie
YES I hated this game at first but I Watched the noob guide on RUclips it’s a 2 hour long video but it will definitely help guide you to become a stronger character! It has got me to a level 6 sword with level 25-30 character plus and so much more!
massively overrated game
Amazing!
A point about the silver scarabs: as soon as you hit them, they'll try rolling away and eventually will disappear. But as long as you keep landing hits on them periodically, they reset their escape animation. So it's better to land a hit every few seconds, than a bunch of hits all at once and then have no stamina left to finish it off.
one hit with magic and night night lol
Adding to the armored enemy bit: if you don’t have a blunt weapon two-hand or just use heavy attacks. They won’t bounce off either. Great vid!!
I find fighting some bosses on horseback quite exciting actually, I took down Agheel last night on horseback and I had a blast weaving around and through his legs, him retreating and me charging after him like dualists, my favourite experience with a boss thus far in the game.
It's quite the best for some of the dragons you find out there, like Smarag, the one guarding the glintstone key for Raya Lucaria.
Just a little tip for people having trouble with stealth stabs like I was: you have to be completely still when you hold light attack, dont move the left stick in any direction or it will just light attack. Which makes it kind of a pain for moving enemies you try to stealth kill
You just can’t be running, thr backstab has to be aligned otherwise it won’t work
If you just focus/ target on them you’re fine
@@katdifranco Being targeted doesn't matter if you are moving the left stick while trying to stealth attack. It will still just light attack
@@yrpi5864 No you can't move the left stick in any direction while stealth attacking. It interupts it

Small tip my buddy figured out is that you can interact with the walking mausoleums and when you do you can choose a single remembrance to duplicate. With that in mind you can turn them both in for BOTH rewards
And you can duplicate them even if you've already consumed/turned it in to the finger lady.
I tried to do this and it didn't work I heard only certain mausoleums work with certain remembrances.
@@ironman82tr I copied this from the wiki for you, one of these probably applies to your issue:
- Only one use per Mausoleum, pick wisely!
@@Kineticboy2K1 basically only bell mausoleums can be used for demigod remembrances
Utilizing the pouches was definitely something I wish I explored sooner. Game changer not having to cycle through so many items to get to my flask.
That’s actually a genius idea
I’m happy to see so many new players joining in on the souls games. There’s a fantastic back catalogue to go back to after Elden Ring 🙂

You can also use a sacrificial twig or twiggy cracked tear
Great tip
Awesome stuff. Definitely a part 2. Heck I'd like a part 3, 4 as well.

A lot of silver scarabs can be shot with arrows with out scaring them. Helpful for not running into a trap trying to catch them.

Take it slow and don't get greedy with your attacks. The game is more about poking the beast till you are strong enough to full send it.
I got it for my birthday too! It's so fun

I'd love a part 2, great guide for newbies.

I visit the dragon ruins in the river on first map out of my curiosity I open the chest and my god I experience Hell for 1hr after being teleported

one tip ill give you as a fellow new player, if you ever played skyrim, or any other elder scroll game, you gotta take a moment and figure your essentials, and how to improve them, every enemy has a pattern you can dodge/exploit to a degree, they are telegraphed. id say for a few lives take your time getting a feel for distancing, and what moves your enemies will use at an distance, and up close to close in on you.
do not just hold too many runes otherwise on death, you will get salty,
always update your armor/ weapons with new and more impressive stuff.

12:26 dodge rolling over the skull also breaks it in case you don't want to mount up, or don't feel like swatting at it 500x just to get the correct angle.

Best thing we could advise is to grind areas of enemies for runes and upgrade your stats where you are really struggling, then try again.
dunno what to say except the usual git gud because that's all it really boils down to lol
Use str/dex or quality till you get far enough to reliably collect all the stuff you need for a magic build. Get far enough in early game to unlock respeccing. Respec into magic. Big boy damage numbers

If you have a hard time back stabbing, ask my ex for tips!
A tip they missed. Don't use a wiki. The best part of these games is discovering everything yourself and figuring out enemies and bosses.
