For me I just drop(use) the rainbow stone/glowing stone, not only serves as a mark, but also a measurement for checking heights of a clip, just like ol' times

I did that before for the Malenia fight but mine was really happy with the pretty stones and kept using them back to back for a full minute.

The Ancestral Infant's Head is really great for the invisible teardrop scarabs, given that it covers a wide area and lingers for quite a while.

Met a gank squad in farum azula that used the branches on all the banished knights. Hardest invasion by far.

Sorry if someone else has mentioned this already, but there's a good explanation why the darts work on imps and other stone creatures. They're Golems too. Anything brought to life by magic is a golem.

I could see Frenzy stones being pretty useful in PvP. Get Branded. Invade. Use a Madness / Frenzy build and throw a few stones on the ground. Bait the enemy into pushing. Watch him Frenzy as you heal. Could be situational, but if done correctly, and the stars aline, I could see this being hilariously fun.

If they became the lord of frenzied flame, then they heal and dont take madness.
Maybe for low level PvP. You can't know if someone has done the madness quest ever, so you could heal them. Earlier the better when they don't have access to Capital sewers.
I’ve done this and tbh the build up is too slow to really be meaningful. Still a useful doesn’t hurt to throw down tho
Man, the Kukri throwing knifes. So good for high DEX build, especially ones focused on bleed, or even a Quality style build. They do massive dmg, and hit the bleed proc surprisingly easy. Great range. I keep them mapped to my pouches and use them all the time.
Oh yeah? I heard they scaled with strength and hadn’t tried them on my dex build. I wonder if the bleed build up scales with dex or arcane?
Can those be crafted?
@@joshmay2944 they have A scaling with STR and S scaling with DEX. I’m not sure about the bleed buildup, but I think it just has a base value.

Volcano Pots are underrated. They may as well be called Cheese Pots because they’re exceptional for cheesing lots of large enemies. If they get stuck on a doorway and keep charging into it each pot will do like 4-600 damage
Funny because someone used the frenzy stone on me yesterday and I didn’t know what it was in pvp but because I’m scarred by the 3 fingers already I took no damage, he was just staring at me as I was standing in it and healing
I’m so glad they added reusable items in this game! Feels like a really cool callback to the hunter tools in Bloodborne! Too bad they don’t scale with arcane as well ;)

@@aishaali9771 there are always a couple that have a limited scope like transporting you back to your last bonfire etc, but the only ones I remember that have combat use are in BB and ER.

@@aishaali9771 I don't remember any reusable consumables in Sekiro but there have always been consumables that trivialize certain enemy encounters. In Sekiro, Fistfuls of Ash could be thrown at enemies to get a free stagger. Bloodborne had the Shaman Bone Blade that could make enemies fight on your side and the Pungent Blood Cocktail could be used to completely distract beasts and get free hits on them. DS3 had White Branches that let you shape shift into an object and walk by enemies. All of those games aside from Sekiro had some sort of decoy/bait consumable like Soul Remains that could be thrown to distract enemies momentarily. From Software games always had consumables that made life easier. Most people just ignored them. I don't know if it's because item description reading is required to learn these interactions or if it's because of the stupid gatekeeper mentality that shuns people for using smart tactics but most veteran players never even bother with consumables.

I love using the glow stones to drop in the caves, they are much brighter than the lantern.
The Skull AOE Item is great on a Mimic, it uses it pretty often and mostly in pretty decent situations and its veeery effective Aggro Tool. Every Tick resets the Aggro to your mimic with this Item.
PSA: for anyone who didn’t know, you can use mohg’s shackle (or even margit’s) to not only reveal hidden walls from a very long range but it also allows you to trigger those annoying fire-breathing pillars from a safe distance. This can be especially useful in the catacomb where you find watchdogs in front of the entrance to these pillars, so you can go past them, into the opening to the right then use the shackle to trap the watchdogs for an easy kill. (Forgot the name of the catacombs but they’re definitely end-game, probably in consecrated snowfields?)
The reason the darts work on imps and the tomb guardians is that they are all golems, per se. They are all magical constructs. I'd do some more testing on anything animated by magic and see if it works on them too, maybe the marionettes?
Fun tip, you can toggle the frenzy eye effects and burnt skin on and off in the rebirth cosmetic menu. Enjoy frenzy without looking like beef jerky!

One of the most useful videos I’ve seen on this game, I knew with all the systems in this game that you could do some awesome stuff in terms of buffing up and preparing for fights, and pretty much every enemy has a weakness and all you have to do is some research and tests and you can become a force to be reckoned with.
Another thing about the spirit head is the first part of the attack, before it hits the floor and turns into mist, does huge amounts of stagger damage.
Wraith Calling Bell. Seriously overlooked!
My pyromancer LOVES this, it's got insane range, excellent tracking, low FP cost, and with the Ritual Sword Talisman it'll actually do respectable damage too. 2 can kill a Godrick Soldier at the Gatefront grace, and you can usually fire 5-6 off before any even hit, and then the enemy get's aggro and runs headlong into all of them, usually a free 600 damage on any overworld foe.
Flying creatures get smashed by these, these can be used on the bats hanging off of roofs, the first will hit it, the second will stagger it and make it fall, and the first will do a beeline down to the ground with the bat and hit it on the ground.
7FP is a pretty low FP cost, and yes, they do less damage than say a fireball, but they don't suffer from low range, can be spammed easily, are amazing on horseback as you can face any direction and launch them, where some spells will be forced to go in a forwards facing direction. You can just ride your horse and trot away from foes while launching a stream of wraiths. Most enemies will not dodge these balls, and if they do they go into overdrive and jump about nonstop as you spam them and they home in and hit them anyway. I've finished many bosses off with a sneaky one of these to get the final hit in from safety.
Need resources? Go hunt animals with this! Deer, birds, goats, the weird cute things, they all get one shot and homed in on hard.
About to face a large group? The impact of a wraith on a foe will make said foe run at you, while all those around him all focus in on the point of impact and stand about while their comrade is now far enough away to be taken out without them noticing. Goes great with summons as you can say, have your spirit wolves around you, can aggro an enemy with this, and the enemy will run at you and the moment they aggro the wolves will also, and they'll run in and intercept the threat.
Facing an NPC invader? This is a great zoning tool, as you can fire a bunch off and either charge a strong spell behind them, or run in with them all and attack.
Try it out if you've got limited long range capabilities. Sure, you can use a bow, or sorceries, or throwing knives, but I find myself using this non-stop, it's so safe and doesn't cost souls or resources like arrows and throwing knives do. With a bow, you can usually level it up to take threats out alone with it, this is used more like a side arm; think Luigi's fireballs or Falco's laser in Smash Bros, these will flinch enemies and they'll have to deal with it.

@@R1oTer Regal is good for burst damage, but at 50fp per use, it won't get very far on a low Mind build. It'd def be better against bosses and large foes to get in big damage fast,, but against regular mobs, creatures, and enemies at max range, it's hard to go past the baby bell (not a bairn pun) which can one or 2 shot most soldiers with my setup described 🍩🍩
@@X9Z17 LV UP. My FP is only at lv 60 ( 350 FP)..but i use a lot
of magic or weapons that has FP consumption. The D-pad is sort of a cluster f$#K...having a LONG RANGE attack in my flask menu helps.
it's like having a Rock sling...without having to swap between incantation/staff..I use mostly incantation from HEALING/CURING/BUFF..
I might use a bolt or blot of gransax for MID range..
I would like to use loretta bow for LONG RANGE...but swapping between staff/incantation...then cycle through spells, messes me up..
The Regal solves that for me...All my spells use lots of FP. 8 flask is plenty.
I could allocate more flask to FP....I seldom use HP flask ...I dont like
the flask drinking animations or getting wacked while I drink healing flask.
My magic heals alot more than my max out flask. HP flask are just for back up...( it's just Habits or the way i combat) I could go 10 FP/4HP flask.
I havnt had the need to.

I think it would have been important to include that by becoming Lord of Frenzied Flame you lock your ending of the game unless you use a specific item from a specific quest in which you choose a specific ending and then use that item in a specific end game boss arena.

Once you use the needle you can pick any ending you want. I set up all three other endings and had the options after cleansing the flame.

Skumnut recently beat Elden Ring using just the ancestral spirit head. He had, well, a terrible time but it's clearly not meant to be a primary weapon lol
Cool thing is, with a lot of these type of items, if you have them equiped on your hotbar, your mimic can cast them too. My mimic keeps healing me by dropping stones in boss fights.

I'm not even past the first tip in the game and this is already immensely helpful! Commander Niall was one of the few fights I'd have to summon help in to make it go easier but now that I know you can bewitch the summons, that's no longer an issue for me. Thanks much. :)
In boss fights you can use 2 of each healing stones when you aktivate the mimik when you have it on quick slots so when you put your stones on the mimik ones you can reach 120 hps and with with some gear and incarnation and talisman you can get round about 130 140 hps

The crystal dart works on golem type enemies. That’s why it works on Imps and catacomb dogs.

The Regal Omen Bairn is another extremely useful tool. It's like the Executioner Gloves from Bloodborne. It's potency is also increased by the Omen set.
That isn't extremely useful at all for 50fp there are way better bangs for the bucks. And not to mention the thing takes forever to use. They didnt speak on it for a reason. "Cause it sucks"

Thanks for producing and posting this. That Boiled Crab is a handy body-buff to use in PvP as it does not use up FP as do some incantation body-buffs, allowing one to save their FP for weapon Ashes of War.
Another great vid! There are so many items in game to help players & yet many seem to focus on immediate combat weapons/spells. Defensive buff items help tremendously with certain bosses & I often change my talisman set up from aggressive to defensive on a situational basis. Not using all the ‘tools’ provided can result in a depressingly brutal wake call as you go from “I got this sussed now” to “WTF”!
Heads up for that headpiece: *The only one that drops the headpiece is the one seen in the video* (8:24). And it's a guaranteed drop. Don't spend an hour killing the wrong one just because somebody generalized that "it drops from the singing enemies".

@@shinydmike8490 The video evidence is really all you need here. Any drop that shows up without you looting a corpse is not only a guaranteed drop, but it also means that enemy won't be coming back. That's just how the game works.

Yes, I finally got it yesterday. I also do not think it is a guaranteed drop because I was making the rounds killing those ladies. I was killed at that area when I first started farming because I somehow aggro-ed the red wolf and did not know it. Maybe she did drop it the first time and I had to go through a reset period?
At least the time was not a total waste as I was able to acquire enough runes to level up a few more times.
That's not true. The other ones do drop it as well. I have like 3 of them

Ancestral Spirit Head: Nothing like spending 50+ FP to deal with two imps in a corridor while trading damage instead of just hitting them and not taking damage. Now that's value.

I progressed black guard after the magma wyrm so having him to summon for the wyrm is not super important at least.

You don't have to summon Blackguard/Bloody Boggart to get him to move to Altus, he'll pop up there as long as you befriended him in Liurnia.
hey cool thing is if you have warimg stone in your hot bar the mimic tear use them all the time so free healing for any build

@@MasterChiefPettyOfficer You can progress it up to the point where he invades you, defeat the invasion and then he will be in the goal asking for seedbed curses. But without the seedbed curse from blackguard, you can't get all 5 seedbed curses that dungeater wants...
But blackguard can survive xD

You can't infinitely craft the bewitching branches. Sacramental buds don't respawn nor any of the lilies, the buds are even worse as they are also required for the rot boluses.

I’m pretty sure you can farm both items, the Lillies from Cleanrot Knights and the Buds from the big sludge monsters at the Writheblood Ruins + Mohgwyn Palace.

Once I got my mimic tear and started using her, I noticed almost all she does is eat boiled crab and cast Terra Magicus lol
Lol you gotta remove those items and spells from your loadout then if it’s a problem! I recommend putting uplifting aromatic perfume in your hotbar so your mimic uses them in fights!
They used to be better. Still really good though. You just have to be really careful with what you equip them with.

Frenzy stones are also amazing in PVP for area denial. As long as the invader/host isnt part of Frenzy Flame, it will apply madness to them.
It’s actually super cool that crystal darts make enemies who are sentient stones basically the golems and the burial gargoyles and watchdogs attack eachother that it messes with their sentient nature wonder if it works on any other enemies that are moving stones
I think it works on all of the enemies considered “constructs.”
It doesn't seem to work on the gargoyles, which are made of stones. I think they are the limit unfortunately

On the healing part I think raw meat dumplings are quite useful, while they do poison you they heal by a lot and lets be honest poison in this game is not as painful as in other soulsborne games :P also you could pair it with poison curing boluses and voileá additional healing flasks ;)
If you’re a faith user, Flame Cleanse Me is a super cheap reusable rot and poison cure.

I used the magic darts all through my first playthrough and absolutely loved them. Another thing I found the darts particularly good at is PvP, they come out very quickly and with the scaling can do some surprisingly good damage!
They come out at the same speed a throwing knives and fan daggers, the latter which players have been using in PvP since launch
if you wear the ancestral antlers you do lots more damage with the ancestral infants head

the cristal throwing daggers also frenzy the imps and ritual guard dog thing in catacombs so yeah it's just if you invest in magic damage more often than not you just kill those enemies before making them frenzied

Luckaly if you haven't gone to the Volcano manor yet you can still do the prawn and crab quest. I thought I had messed up on my NG+ as I had already beat the city and was about to go to the land of the Giants, but I just checked and yep I can still do the quest :D

to be fair about the witching branch, i would have never thought that boss fights would have ads vulnerable to the branch. but the nox castle fight was the first one to come to mind on using it before the clip came up lol

Note about the warming stone. They function like the Warmth spell from Dark Souls, meaning it also heal enemies and bosses if they stand in it so be careful where you drop them.
EDIT: also should have mentioned the Ritual Jars. They are like pots for status effects. I use the ones with Scarlet Rot. On normal mobs 1 pot will hit entire groups and proc the status immediately. 3 for a boss. And one that is extremely handy is the beast Blood one. Throw it at a boss if your mimic is stuck on stupid. It makes them more aggressive on whatever it hits making them stop pacing about and constantly attack.
A good combo is meat dumpling, which are faster than flasks, and poison boluses, which cure the poison.

The healing stone heals enemies tho, i was fighting the rotten crystalien trio and dropped one of these, they started healing

The frenzied flame stone will only heal people with the frenzy flame. Everyone else gets madness. Op af

Not sure if it's still the case(with the ai change) but I'm pretty sure the mimic tear will use the healing stones BUT if it does enemy NPCs will also receive benefits

@@julianadams3710 in ds you could invade solo hosts but invasions in this game are harder for the invader. And invasions are fun and a good challenge. Alot of my favorite moments of these games came from invasions.
