Just wanted to say that I ended up using the Barbarian build through my own experimenting. A very solid defensive build but still good damage output. I also found the Rusted Anchor to be an incredible weapon for the build. And you can dress up like a pirate, which is pretty awesome.
Thanks to another guide on YT, I also went after the Guts Greatsword and Lion's Claw ash of war for my STR build. Ever since I got those two items, I love playing this character a whole lot, and plan on building her up some more.

I absolutely love the Barbarian build. I recently decided to start a new build and this is exactly what I was looking for. Wonderful build that still offers flexibility. Can't wait to try it out!
One of the great things about Elden Ring is that you really can find your own playstyle. I love strength builds but I really don't like colossal weapons. They are slow, they are unwieldy, and they don't chain attacks well together. I also like shields. So a high strength block build with something like a great axe, or great hammer is what i enjoy. I also like the great spears for their ability to attack from a defensive position. Shields are fantastic and I love their implementation. I've done the min/max thing in Elden ring and I stopped because I didn't enjoy the playstyle. These videos are great for pointing you in the right direction but don't feel you have to get specific weapons. Find the one you enjoy.
In case anyone was wondering, for the 2nd build “Raging Wolf Build” from what I’ve gathered, he is using the Black Wolf Mask along with the Raging Wolf Armor. Hope this helps and please correct me if I’m wrong! 😊

I also use great stars instead of the hammer and the golden great shield instead of fingerprint. I did switch to finger print shield late game, but it's to heavy for mid game.
Finished the game with just the Brick Hammer and Brass Shield - no incantations, no sorceries - JUST PURE STRENGTH, gear, ash of war and consumables...I think, your builds are hybrids. Though your builds are no doubt great, but IMO, if we say STRENGTH BUILD - that simply means we only focus on the 3 basic stats - VGR, END and STR ...then destroy everything in our path...
Love your build videos! I'm currently running a bonk build very similar to your giant crusher one here, though I've slotted Stone of Gurranq for a ranged option, it's nothing crazy but gives a little more versatility, that and either of the two conal bestial incantations and you've got some aoe covered for lower health mobs. With claw mark seal scaling on strength (and I believe bestial incantations scale on strength too?) They hit for an alright amount, not something you're going to spam but really nice to have for basically no more investment, adds a little more depth to the build than just bonking everything too.
I always look forward to your build videos, even back from the division 2. Thanks for the great quality builds, this helps since I like switching builds up alot. Keep up the work, looking forward to more of these!
The Anvil Hammer is now the highest AR weapon in the game! It primarily scales with Strength, with low scaling for other stats and none for Arcane. It outshines the Giant Crusher with its longer reach, innate fire damage at the end of combos, and an impressive Ash of War. In my current build, I'm using the Anvil Hammer along with the Rotten Winged Sword Insignia, Two-Handed Sword Talisman, Great Jar Arsenal, and Erdtree's Favor +2. With these, three charged heavy attacks staggered the Putrescent Knight, and five charged heavy attacks finished him off.

Edit: corrected attack type
Everybody stops leveling at 150?? LOL Isnt the game practically over by the time you get to lvl 80-90? If you wanna melt enemies early on, skip everything and get both bearing bells, if you cant kill the magma wyrm, the early damage route is not for you and you should probably level up vigor first, else go endurance (for stamina) then strength max. Best enemies to practice for timing hits, nights cavalry, sentinels, grafted scions, and dragons (for head shots). If you can spend 10 hrs training on these mobs without a horse, you will become an elden god.
Does meta mean something completely different for elden ring than for every other souls game? I mean having that high a level is barely a build. going over 40 - 50 for more than 3 stats is getting into just over leveled for everything territory. I realise elden ring is huge and the level for pve is especially is gonna get higher but 140-150 is more than powerful enough while still retaining some kind of challenge in relation to crafting a build. I’m not saying it’s bad or not fun either, I invade at lvl 200 as much as I do at 50 and 120, but calling a huge stat spread an s tier meta build is just a bit much imo. Probably just me not keeping up with the times I guess.
Just wondering for the raging wolf build - is there any reason to go higher than 12 Dexterity (needed to use the Greatsword)? Unless there's a secondary weapon you're using, it might be better to put the points into either Strength for more damage or Faith to get to Golden Vow faster.
I was currently using the raging wolf str build because i saw it on RUclips but im a hugeee fan of using shields and i still wanted to use a str build. Im so glad i found this video. Im about to switch to the barbarian build 😎

No need to upgrade clawmark seal to 25 if you are only using % buffs for the build. Plus if you are buffing a lot, using axe talisman which increases charge attacks and it does more damage and poise damage than jump attacks. It is harder to land tho but you get tons of hyper armour for it. For the tear, instead of using green tear for stamina which is kinda wacky for that level use the charge attack one and you can 1-2 shot most of the bosses.
Bruh it is INSANE how well these colossal weapons perform in the field. I finally upgraded my strength to 60 so I could use the giant-crusher. Decided to test it out on Maliketh for shits and giggles. Mimic tear summon then 6 hits to the scone and he was finished. Never been so relieved in my life.

You can 2 hand the left and use it, stop 2 handing it and then buff the main hand. On a PC with Xbox controller you use the button to bring up your quick menu and use the button you would use a dw attack to main it
it has diminishing returns at 50+. See this vid (which I just watched for build ideas)--super great channel too. ruclips.net/video/lZxJMvDpNYg/видео.html
The benefits of going above 80 str is just lesser than going up to 80. Diminishing returns basically. But if you have nowhere else to place the stats but str, then sure, it will still have some benefit to go to 99 str.

You can 2 hand the left and use it, stop 2 handing it and then buff the main hand. On a PC with Xbox controller you use the button to bring up your quick menu and use the button you would use a dw attack to main it
I am a bit confused. I have been told, and read untold times, that a Str above 80 is pretty much useless in all Str builds???
it has diminishing returns at 50+.
I know this isnt the brigthes question but what armor was he using for the wolf build?
He was using the raging wolf armor.
