The grafted blade greatsword's ash also increases poise similar to endure but lasts for 5 seconds instead of 3. Hit L2 and then just tank through everything while charging a heavy attack.

I actually really missed making them. Think the little break from Elden Ring did me good, as I realised how much I missed the game while making this. Thanks for watching!
Awesome as always. The sleep pot toss at Godfrey at the end of that fight was vintage Thingfishy, LOL. One more weapon to consider for your Hall of Fame list here - the Nightrider Glaive. It gets S scaling in Strength when Heavy infused, and it has a great moveset. It’s a solid pick for any Strength run, IMO. The Banished Knight Greatsword and the Banished Knight Halberd also deserve a place in the list of best Strength weapons, while I’m at it…

Ordovis Greatsword with 25 faith for golden vow + FGMS and clawmark seal is one of my new favorites. You can also use Siluria's tree with this. You get to dump everything into strength after 25 fai and also have access to high incant scaling and many buffs or projectiles to complement it
Love how he ash of war seems to stagger on its 2nd or 3rd to last hit. So it staggers and you get a few more hits from the ash that go towards another stagger. Of im invested into Faith I'm 100% using the Envoy Longhorn. It shreds!!!
I hope thingfishy eventually does these for all stats/builds combined with LoP and ds3 content we have more than enough to last untill the dlc. Keep on cooking thingfishy.
There are few thing more satisfying then sending flying enemies to the ground with radahn's ash of war, I realize any gravity spell will do it but to have that ready to go along with that follow up you can clear packs of monsters pretty efficiently.
Holy crap what an entertaining, just found your channel, this is the first video what i just saw! Holly molly if the others are the same quality, i will have some good times. Insane quality, insane background music!!! what is veeery rare in any videos, most of the time i hate background musics as they just bad and i cant hear the voices, not with this!!! Congrats, insane work, im out of words!
Why would grafted blade fall of anywhere on ng1 if it has the highest physical damage of all colossal along 80 free levels with great rune? Im curious bc i just set it up and getting a +6 was a pain since i didnt want to go out of caelid and limgrave😅
Someone else mentioned Nightrider Glaive as potentially taking Troll Hammer's spot, but another alternative for something like Radahn's Swords that I like is the Longhaft Axe. It's another strong Greataxe with generally better Strength scaling than Executioner's and Rusted Anchor and it has extra hyper armor on all of its charged attacks. Naturally, any Poise Bois with the Axe Talisman and Spiked Cracked Tear go brrrr with this weapon, and I've used it in a Quality build as my primary Bonk stick before and it does wonders. Only downside is you have to farm it from the axe-wielding Scaly Misbegottens in Castle Morne but it's still a weapon you can get *very* early on and it's great for the whole game.
Yeah, I temporarily forgot the Knightrider Glaive existed while making this. Definitely should have made it in there. Will have to try the Longshaft. Never used that one before! Thanks for watching!

Was hoping to see the Great Stars. Dual wielding Great Stars is possible in NG, greedy when it comes to smithing stones, but the speed that they can deal posture damage is absolutely bonkers (pun intended). The fact that they can be buffed, cragbladed, or whatever ash of war you want with their innate hp restoration makes them absolute monsters.
Can't really explain why, but I keep coming back to the spikey bonk. Nice tip about the Spear Talisman for the Rusted Anchor though. I may take it for a spin now.
Counter damage in Souls games always goes so understated and the moment you learn how to properly weaponize it you feel like you've opened up a whole new dimension for Souls combat.
The spikey bonk is just a really balanced weapon, I think. Its powerful enough to bully bosses around with posture breaking, but not so powerful that it kills everything in 20 secs like the Star Fist, so you can actually have fun with the fights. Yeah counterattack damage is pretty busted. I saw Nizar do a build with the Katar and counterattack damage a while back and was shocked how broken it was.
@@cartooncritic7045 Yeah, but I tend to think of leveraging a tidy little bonus on a fast weapon -- the Rapier for instance. Although DS2's Grand Lance is a heavy hitter in its own right with a 60% boost on counters. Just didn't think of doing that with a greataxe.
You've reminded me to add something to the description. All the way through this video I had a feeling I was missing a weapon. Went through the wiki and couldn't see anything. As I was putting the very final edits on this video, I sat there and thought "Shit! Nightrider Glaive". That should have taken the Troll's Hammer's spot.

I got the golems halberd on my beginning dash, i swung down to take the trap chest to get the hp restore amulet. I always grab it for times im low flasks and use that and the icon shield and just leave my character lol But that golem is definitely harder to kill. However if you grab the claymore, dashing through to grab it (or something with the same stagger)...you can easily keep the golem in a falling cycle and reposte. A jump heavy and a charge heavy will do it. Or 2 charged. Idk if id farm it though as it takes longer, but i got it first try just trying to get away safely but realized without other golems, it seems easier
Hoping for a crucible knight build! Orodovis gs and Silurias tree are such amazing weapons, and the crucible tree set looks sick (not as much a fan of the axe set)
One thing about giant hunt , It actually utilizes The greatswords pierce damage capability is a very damaging way.. human size enemies AND Giant beastlike enemies take heavy damage
Are there any experts in the house?) I've abandoned Elden Ring for more than a year, and when I opened it, it took me time to understand what I was cooking: a one-shot build with the Giant-crusher and self-poisoning synergy + buffs. The downside is that I couldn't wear much armor, and although very satisfying on bosses, the build is a big pain in the ass for clearing locations. What should I choose for that purpose, if I still want to annihilate everyone with a big stick, but also wear some armor and be resilient? Also, Barbaric Roar deserves a mention for some of these strength builds. The charged 3 hit combo is especially amazing against any humanoid bosses and most landscape enemies, since it just tanks through everything. On more tough bosses with small openings and high poise, it's harder to pull off, though, but definitely insane against smaller enemies. Endless love to you and your videos!
If anyone wants a super easy, early kill for the Prelate Hammer, two L2s from a Great Stars with Prayerful Strike stuns him, and potentially fully heals any chip damage. Great stars has super low requirements, so you can basically wield it out the gate with Radagon's Sorseal and Strength Tear. 2 L2s, repost, 2 L2s, he's done. Don't even need to upgrade it. He almost always opens with a fire throw that misses, too, so it's basically free
