fun fact about the Negotiator mission: if you're playing coop you and your partner won't spawn together in the same room. Your coop partner will be in the first breach you need to breach, and they're in a line of people being executed. So it's up to you to save your partner before they get killed. It's a neat detail which really makes that mission memorable imo
As a self-proclaimed survival mode veteran, the ''meta'' is generally to use two LMGs (the L86 LSW and MG36 for their fastest reload times) with red dot sights, grip and sleight of hand. Fun fact, Exteme conditioning as a perk is useless in survival because jumping completely resets your sprint timer, a mechanic that doesn't exist in multiplayer. Depending on the map, camping is generally the way to go. Funnel enemies through a choke point on simple waves and run circles around the map on juggernaut waves (if there's choppers, take care of those first). You can thin out the horde of enemies chasing you with flash bangs + air strikes and claymores. After wave 30 or so, the rotation of waves stays consistent (on most maps atleast).
I've always ran either an SMG or an LMG and a striker (I'd use the striker for the juggs since it hit hard and it was semi auto) but if not the striker, I'd actually run the CM901 with the master key shotgun and a holo sight. It was so much fun to use

Masterkey requires you to be much closer to them. It's one of those neat little advantages that goes unmentioned in older COD games.

They actually do change up a lot of the missions in duo. Someone mentioned interrogator, but in black ice you ride on the back with fmg9's and in the 3rd level your coop partner is actually the sniper. This is even true for some of the base missions as well

Can't wait to see how you pull some of these off, I have clear memories of my 11 year old self having gamer rage, no where near as bad as MW2 Snatch and Grab or High Explosive, but still irritating. Edit: Childhood me remembers these being much harder, the only reason you ever struggled was because you insisted on using low firerate weapons when you really shouldn't have.

I have NEVER played this mission but you are correct, this looks just like the pipeline remaster map from advanced warfare. it has the dam and even the Chinese symbols because the map w a s set in China. sledgehammer game probably made this map first in spec ops for mw3 and then re-released it as an aw multiplayer map as a pre-order bonus. interesting.

I downloaded and watched the last edition of this when I flew to visit my grandparents back in September, then this was perfectly timed for me to watch on the flight when I visited this week!
I played negotiator so many times because there was a parkour glitch where you could get out of the map, and the out of bounds area was huge, so we just go explore that and let the hostages just chill lol

Good work, this is probably better than the first MW3 Spec Ops one (the obvious edits were great, the references to the other videos were both natural and funny) and maybe even better than the first one. If the break led to this quality, it's completely worth it as far as I'm concerned. P.S. Human NPCs were not killstreaks until Ghosts (2 years later).
I spent a hour watching the normal mw3 spec Ops playthrough thinking it was thus one. I still enjoyed it, but now I realize I have even more content to watch, will there be cricket noises at the end? We shall see.

All spec ops missions just seem to be campaign missions working backwards with a gimmic or objective. Ac-130, being a juggernaut etc. Simple but fun
