The original trilogy put you in the shoes of multiple teams working alongside other teams. The reboots however are set in the darkest timeline where the Brits are up to their old tricks again and sent Capt Price back in time to slit the patriots' throats in their sleep resulting in a future where the SAS are the ONLY competent sof team available in the whole world and where the CIA is so poor it can only afford to hire two middle aged employees.
Nice silenced helicopter at 1:14:50, where they can have a nice and quiet conversation standing right next to it. I wonder if it uses the same technology as the silenced crossbow.
"What you call arms, we call weapons. What you call opponents, we call enemies. What you call pointless repetition, we call pretentious platitudes. And padding the runtime of this glorified DLC."

To your point about the MW reboot trilogy villains accomplishing nothing... Hollywood writing has declined so badly that every villain now is simultaneously a bigger caricature of "evil" than in decades past but also incompetent to the point of parody. They don't even have to balls to write antagonists that get away with grandiose plans before ultimately being thwarted. In MW2, Makarov successfully started WW3. In BF3, the villains nuked Paris. Now, we get alt-Makarov doing some petty false flag attacks that don't raise the stakes in any way whatsoever. P.S. I'd like for you to play Black Ops 1 for the channel. My favorite CoD campaign of all time and the closest CoD gets to "actual" good writing.

Hey s0ur could you play the medal of honor campaigns? There's dozens of them just like call of duty though most of them are primarily World War II. Just another campaign based game you could start a series of!
In DMZ one of the factions you'd complete missions for was the english "Crown" which turned out to be a front for Konni. They were introduced about 8 months ago in dmz with many cryptic hints/messages pointing towards konni
Hah, yeah the 2 week turnaround isn't exactly a sustainable pace for these big videos, but I'm able to go a bit harder around the holidays and this was a fun one

the interrogation scene was actually very genius because if you look at the price tag on mw3 you can see it’s 70$ which means the dlc is pointed to rich people and what’s most rich people’s fear you guessed it loosing money
Dude i dont know what i hate more, that they killed soap so unceremoniously, or that they could totally pull a graves and say "just kidding" to soaps death.
46:15 yes they do make a top mounted AR conversion, it's the AR 57 designed to take P90 magazines, ejects straight out the bottom through the magwell where the 5.56 mags would go in.
One of the biggest problems with this reboot series is the disconnect between tone and plot. Everyone is treating these conflicts as seriously as they did in the original series, but instead of Russians marching in the streets of D.C. and Paris, its a PMC getting manhandled by Farah Karim in a random port in a fake Caucasian/Middle Eastern country. The tone the characters have do not match the stakes the plot has set
Soap feels like he's meant to be the character that the (from the developers perspective) dumb fans will associate with the most. Plus he's not as good marketing bait, which makes him a prime candidate to kill off. Which also explains why half his dialogue is stupidly stating out loud things that are obvious. Like when a big picture of Makarov comes on screen and he jumps up from his seat and goes "That's Makarov!", he's stupid to a comical degree. I assume to make Price and Ghost seem even more badass in comparison, maybe also the reason why Gaz is the white knight voice of reason, interrupting every cutscene with "ackshually, if we're doing this properly..." Like did they forget that gaz joined 141 specifically because when he was with the police he was unable to act when he needed to because of red tape and rules of engagement, and that Price spent that whole first game giving him the "Our hands get dirty and the world stays clean" speech? It's like they saw that people weren't particularly enamored with Gaz as a character so just pretended they didn't really characterize him and focused on the others instead and added Alejandro to replace him as the one Soap and Ghost roll with.
I think it's entirely die to how his facial hair just looks like it isn't there. He does have facial hair but you just can't see it. Make it more visible and he will look sooooo much better
I’m no professional writer but I doubt the writers of this campaign are either. Cheap jab aside I think this story could have worked had they just replace some characters with others. Alejandro should have replaced Farah, change the context of the port mission to have Alejandro track down Valeria to another arms deal with an anonymous buyer. Yuri should have replaced Makarov as Prisoner 627 and the next mission we’re transporting him to an exfil site but we get ambushed instead of us ambushing Konni to get Shepherd. Price should have been incapacitated after barely escaping from the gas and Ghost should have been the new captain so when Soap dies it hits harder because it was under his watch. I realize it still won’t be perfect but at least the character moments would be more memorable.
1:36:17 is just so cringe. I still get chills when I hear “There’s a clock tower in Hereford;” this was hamfisted. Where did Infinity Ward’s writers go?
Kind of a longshot, but would you ever consider checking out some of the older Medal of Honor campaigns? Lotta fun memories with those ones, they felt real similiar to OG cod campaigns.
I put this campaign on recruit (don’t punish yourself with hardened/veteran) and went in guns blazing on every single mission 😄. Theres zero penalty in breaking stealth so go loud and go as fast as you can! Make sure to hold A/X on your controllers to skip the cutscenes to go even faster 😁. I clocked in at about 5 hours play time, but pretty much played it for the free operators, double xp, animated calling cards, and Capt. Price’s gun blueprint lol. I’ve never been so bored.
1:55:25 Oh hey look, that's me! Well damn, didn't know I've gone and gotten famous! Hi Mom! (Jokes aside, it was funny to see that crop up at the end. That whole comment chain with that whacko OP was just... weird)
"AHH, FARAH, SAVE YOURSEL- " "Ooh epic shot tho :)" I like to imagine the Konni guys saw the shot and they were so impressed they stopped fighting Alex for a second so they could all pop off.
lmaoing that people expected MW3's campaign to be some in depth and interactive sandbox along the lines of MGS5 when in reality it was more like Battlefield 1/5's campaign.
They're still not even close, those games at least went in developed around the open world, and were much better designed for it lmao, these missions are literally just recycled BR maps with randomly thrown in objectives for the hell of it, with the only effort being in the VA and cutscenes that were slotted in
It's honestly a talent how you turn playthroughs that would normally be boring and even DAUNTING to watch into something genuinely interesting and entertaining. You allow me to experience the more recent, expensive and, frankly, terrible CoD campaigns both with increased levels of enjoyment and a happier wallet. Thank you, S0ur!
honestly man you're such a hero for playing all these campaigns, anything past bo2 to me is absolutely not worth my time (except for cold war, that campaign is really damn good)
„Best way to end a war is to win it.” That has to be the worst line i have ever heard from a video game. That's like saying: The sky is blue, and grass is green.
Exactly, I would much rather hear an inspirational quote from a historical/political figure than Shepard. I mean seriously, why did they even change that?
I'm gonna be honest, I kinda like the aspect of Shepherd being a lame loser, is not well executed, like at all, but the idea of a 4 star US general being basically a desk worker that bited more that he could chew, got a bunch of people killed over his own pride and ego and is desperately trying it to swipe it under the rug is a fine take on his old persona, especially considering he is hiding under a PMC. It's not biting satire or criticism, but it's better than the tonal and self righteous nightmare that it was MW 2019 were they unironically went with "due proccess be damned, the bureaucracy is holding us back, we know better" and didn't ponder for a second how fucked that is.
I still cringe when I see people say "MW2019's story was good" when they completely gloss over the fact that, at best, it glorifies American warcrimes.
I feel like instead of a reboot there shouldve been two new modernw warfare games being prequels to MW2. The first one taking place right after Cod4 leading up to introduction of TF141 and the second game being Operation Kingfish.
Thanks, this really gives a feeling for why people dislike this. I'd seen people complain about it being "basically a DLC". I'd played the Hitman 2016 - Hitman 3 games which use this "same hub for multiple games" approach, and there it (pretty much) works. Here.. the open-world levels have a shallow level of gameplay on top of the multiplayer maps.. it really doesn't look like a full-quality title.

Nice silenced helicopter at 1:14:50, where they can have a nice and quiet conversation standing right next to it. I wonder if it uses the same technology as the silenced crossbow.
Immagine an un-silenced crossbow lol
You know it’s bad when even IGN gives it a low score
26:06 - "What you call 'classified,' I call 'secrets.'"
Farah... F... Farah, that's the same thing...
"What you call arms, we call weapons. What you call opponents, we call enemies. What you call pointless repetition, we call pretentious platitudes. And padding the runtime of this glorified DLC."
@@Winasauruswhat you call trash I call garbage
I really do appreciate the effort you put into captions, thanks sour. 25:45
Hands down … my favorite RUclipsr. Love you dood
Shepherd will come back in season 5 and say "I was not in that chair".
1:36:04 I find it so goofy that ghost is still wearing his mask and he doesn’t even take it off out of respect for his dead friend 😂 and on top of that he’s literally in the middle of no where with 2 of the only people who’s already seen his face lol
33:48 the way she fell omg I’m dying 😂😂😂😂😂😂
“Rest in peace Johnny” *throws carbon*, honestly one of the most disrespectful thing I’ve seen in cod and less impactful than soaps death in Mw3 (og). I’m glad that I haven’t bought these games since CW.
I have to say I loved the S0ur EEs better than the actual EEs they were pointing out lol... I wish CoD was good again because I do miss the old CoD videos on a regular basis. Great work as always
You know the writers f-uped when the players want protagonists to die.
Oh my, I did not expect MW3 campaign to be here so fast :D Can't wait to see your reaction to it, love the series!
Oh man I remember good ole verdank. Its something that we will have to tell our grandkids about. I love the nostalgic feeling i already cant wait for the remaster of cod 2019.😍
Thankyou sour. You've sacrificed your life so you can save us from our curiousity. we just going to be watching our martyr suffer 😂😭
Thankyou sour.
Yessir!! Can’t wait to watch this whole thing in one run, just like the campaign.
Price being so suddenly expressive and emotional compared to his more composed, stoic self in MW2019 is one of the things I haven't seen pointed out in the comments yet; but it's so distracting lmao. Loving this playthrough so much, the bingo bit and your hilarious commentary added so much fun to it lmfao
Makarov dropped the soap, was spooked by the Ghost, inhaled the Gaz, and paid the Price
Wow you were quick this time 😄👌
Hah, yeah the 2 week turnaround isn't exactly a sustainable pace for these big videos, but I'm able to go a bit harder around the holidays and this was a fun one
Guess you could say Makarov dropped the "Price" and is gonna pay the "Soap."
Thanks for the video S0ur. You are one of (if not) best narrator for this content!
* 1:36:50 *
I really want to see a montage of everyone's reacton to the credits rolling up on them like that! It would be a golden nugget.
I'm so glad I stopped purchasing CoD at Cold War...
This video is amazingly entertaining
the interrogation scene was actually very genius because if you look at the price tag on mw3 you can see it’s 70$ which means the dlc is pointed to rich people and what’s most rich people’s fear you guessed it loosing money
CoD knew they needed a better villain than Hassan so they brought in the one and only Ben Shapiro to star as Makarov.
The Russian Ben Shaprio
The baby face he has is so uncanny, it just looks off somehow
"so what if i , say, hypothetically bomb a plane as a false flag attack?"
This channel is my new favorite it is fun to see the older cod games cause now cods got bad
Already?!?! Damn S0ur, you’re spoiling us!
Dude i dont know what i hate more, that they killed soap so unceremoniously, or that they could totally pull a graves and say "just kidding" to soaps death.
"I was never in that subway"
@kengiro0599 lol no it will be more like "look at this gnarly scar I got from the bullet graze"
Price: Soap, we thought you died!
Soap: That was my twin brother Shampoo.
46:15 yes they do make a top mounted AR conversion, it's the AR 57 designed to take P90 magazines, ejects straight out the bottom through the magwell where the 5.56 mags would go in.
Although it really does suck to see a classic IP defiled like this, thank you for at least making it fun to watch.
Just finished watching MW2 and cant imagine this is up now haha. LETS GO
Urzikstan Urzikstan Urzikstan Urzikstan 😂😂😂😂
Thank you for playing this so I don't have to!
Reboot Makarov looks far too young. He’s got a 16 year olds face. He’s supposed to be 32.
I think it's entirely die to how his facial hair just looks like it isn't there. He does have facial hair but you just can't see it. Make it more visible and he will look sooooo much better
Terrorists have wild skincare routines
That Skyrim opener at 4:46 was genius, ty S0ur
Skyrim opening will always remain a classic.
Oh god. I'll watch this when I get to bed and it will be glorious. Thanks you, Sour!
1:55:25
Oh hey look, that's me!
Well damn, didn't know I've gone and gotten famous! Hi Mom!
(Jokes aside, it was funny to see that crop up at the end. That whole comment chain with that whacko OP was just... weird)
*Alex in the process of being taken by Konni*
"Good Kill."
"AHH, FARAH, SAVE YOURSEL- "
"Ooh epic shot tho :)"
I like to imagine the Konni guys saw the shot and they were so impressed they stopped fighting Alex for a second so they could all pop off.
lmaoing that people expected MW3's campaign to be some in depth and interactive sandbox along the lines of MGS5 when in reality it was more like Battlefield 1/5's campaign.
Where is roach?
He had integrity and declined the opportunity to be in the reboot, we love roach
honestly man you're such a hero for playing all these campaigns, anything past bo2 to me is absolutely not worth my time (except for cold war, that campaign is really damn good)
Thankful for another upload!
Wowie didn't expect a full game upload
if there was a dirty bomb in a tunnel why was makarov still even down there.... just waiting for them to arrive so he can watch it go off like why
I love Sandman 💖
(His voice also sounds so real to me because of black hawk down nostalgia)
4:16 they pulled a quote from who now?
soap dropped the price now he's got to pay the makarov
Yes, every MAINLINE CoD, its time for sideline CoDs 🎉
Love your content
Didn't think it would be here so early after the epic months long wait for MWII
I feel like instead of a reboot there shouldve been two new modernw warfare games being prequels to MW2. The first one taking place right after Cod4 leading up to introduction of TF141 and the second game being Operation Kingfish.
“Who takes a picture of a statue guy” lmao
by the way, they named the dog in the tailing mission "Riley"
Thanks, this really gives a feeling for why people dislike this.
I'd seen people complain about it being "basically a DLC". I'd played the Hitman 2016 - Hitman 3 games which use this "same hub for multiple games" approach, and there it (pretty much) works.
Here.. the open-world levels have a shallow level of gameplay on top of the multiplayer maps.. it really doesn't look like a full-quality title.
