  • Even though this Colt SAA was made in 1971, it's seen almost no use. I cleaned up some of the burrs and rough areas inside the action and in this video I'm reducing the hand spring pressure.

      Still here.. But getting slower. Not worked on anything or bought anything new in a while. Got out of habit of making videos. Lazy, I guess.

    Break in after the repair will make it smooth as butter, also lots of shooting might have cleaned up the original problem- nice job great gun.

    A sponge tip for a dremel with a touch of polish will smooth without excess pressure. Corners stay sharp and precise. I prefer Flitz polish. Also great for other mating surfaces. Hammer/frame and trigger frame.

    Cylinder has a bolt line drug around it. Either timing is off or someone didn’t put it in half cock. Check to make sure the bolt leading edge is broken and not sharp.
