  • I made a small bowl out of beech wood and finished it with a granite look from a spray can.
The bowl has a diameter of 18 centimeters and is 7 centimeters high

Hmm, can you do one in Carrera marble next ? This granite is a bit too ordinary. Nice but ordinary. hehe. Great one Hans ! Take care my friend. -Mike

Thank you, Mike. Marble is not as hard as granite, so I can probably make that one day.
      😉😉

That's a cool effect. I've got some ash bowl blanks drying that don't have much character, so I might try something similar with one of them 🙂

Thank you. I was surprised that the effect was so realistic.

Looking back is there anything you would do differently on the next bowl?

Hello Robert, sorry for my late response, but next time I would definitely tape my chuck better before applying the stone effect.
Weeks later, there was still some residue left in the mechanism that made it difficult to use.
