    Barb, another trick that you can use when making blobs and jellies, is use either parchment paper or waxed paper. The parchment is best as it doesn't leave a residue on the bottom like waxed. The hot glue doesn't stick to them.

    I never would've thought to use water for a base layer, but I do know that hot glue peels off of parchment paper really well

    as a DM maker nerd i am VERY guilty of always going to my 3d printer for EVERYTHING. THanks for reminding us of the other options
