- Join me to learn about the history of Bandera, Texas, a small Hill Country town with some deep historic and cowboy roots. The town is known as the " Cowboy Capital of the World ". I will take you to historic spots as we tour the town and discuss why the town is called Bandera, what brought Polish settlers to this area, and see some beautiful old buildings made from the native rock, limestone.

Thank you to all the people of Bandera I met along the way. The town is beautiful, historic, and full of great people. A couple of additional stops if you go; 1) Town cemetery and 2) the Methodist church. Hope you enjoyed touring and learning about this amazing place.
That neo-gothic church looks like it belongs in europe, really beautiful. Do you think the church is constructed of locally sourced stone? Bandera is a very interesting place.
To God be the glory. Glorious describes that church for me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this amazing tour.❤
It was truly amazing. There are a series of painted churches in Texas. Hope I can visit some more and share with you all.
@@earthandtime5817 Thank you for what you do for us old fogies that can't travel. I am really interested in geology, archaeology, and paleontology. I watch everything I can get my hands on. I don't retain all of it but it's so interesting. If you get a chance check out some of Nick Zentner's topics. I think you might enjoy him.
Thank you.
Welcome!
The Medina River is one of my favorite rivers in Texas.
We love it there. The people are great and the scenery is great. We look forward to the next time we go back.
At first I was thinking was this reminiscent of the Alamo and David Crockerys last stand
Actually the Alamo is not too far away from Bandera.
@@earthandtime5817 I wonder what them folk were up to in that battle ....
When lived in North Richland Hills we had a Baptist pastor that preached for a while or something at Bandera.
It is a beautiful place. Thank you for sharing.
