Been in Houston for decades and didn't know about either of these pie heavens! Time for a van trip! Hill country is one of my favorite places to visit... Enchanted Rock, Fredericksburg, great German food and just the whole area! Be seeing you!
I was glad to see y'all here in Texas. You did a great job of highlighting a few good places but y'all know how big Texas is, so come on back. Your welcome.
We visited the Hill Country in Texas in 2019 and enjoyed it very much. We headed south on local roads when we left Fredericksburg and my goodness, we saw a pasture with camels! Love rving, one never knows what’s around the next corner!
Neat share. Have you two ever visited New Braunfels, Texas. Another neat little town in Texas. It’s about a half hour away from both Austin and San Antonio. It has German heritage and many of the buildings have beautiful murals painted in them depicting the history and forefathers and mothers of the town.

Ah…. My old stomping grounds! Lived in Boerne not far from Fredericksburg. Next time climb Enchanted Rock and go to see the bats when it’s their season! Incredible and so much information. Right behind the Bat Tunnel is Alamo Springs restaurant…. Best burgers and onion rings ever! May even have pie!!

Glad you got to spend some time in our neck of the woods! When you were at the Texas Pie Company you were about 10 miles from our house! And Billy's company built the part of the Nimitz museum that you visited! Awesome video guys!

Excellent video this week! We have added this area to our travel book! Glad you guys were able to spend time exploring a bit but as Brian stated you only had a couple of days. Enjoy the ride to Arizona. Have you ever been to White Sands NP? We loved it in our LTV.

Y’all’s affinity for pie is infectious! Maybe I missed it, but have y’all done a video on how much you’ve had to change your lifestyle between all of the RVs you’ve had? Also, other than space what challenges Vanlife has versus your Class A or your Airstream, and all of the differences.

Just saw that y'all want to come back to Old Tunnel. If you do, be sure to eat at Alamo Springs Cafe, right there by the park. Best burgers and Onion Rings in Texas - and I don't like onions!!
Firefly is a nice but pricey park. They have no cancellation policy unless you pay a hefty fee and even then it is two weeks out. Make sure you make that reservation.
It very much was designed to be a true Resort, not your budget camping. Thanks for sharing. We didn’t think the price was bad at all for an rv site when we were there, especially for everything it had to offer. If anyone is questioning, just go to the link and put in a date and you’ll see the daily rate for that date. Cancellations we are not familiar with and didn’t see what that was. We felt it’s definitely a great place to stay.
No plans as of yet. The only thing we want to eventually do is by a small place to put all of our things from storage in and utilize as a place to stay very short term once in a while. No regrets, the beauty of the country and the people we meet keep us going. We can easily stop anytime we want. We have been full-time over 5 years now. 👍🏻🧡😊🤓
Just curious, were you guys in the dental business? Also, love your travels, but please show more of how you live in the Gretch RV. I’m 75, wife 69 and we’re thinking about one. First time RVers. Love the color of yours. Thank you.
No, we were not in the dental business (??). We have videos out there that show how we live in the van, but that is not something that we keep showing over and over. We throw in little pieces of our lives in the van throughout various videos to keep the videos interesting for the majority of our viewers, not just a select few. You have to watch every video in order to see everything.
You’ll need the same for an Airstream Interstate (Strada-ion comparable) that doesn’t compare. Go to a show sometime and look at the details. They are both pricey, but you get what you pay for pretty much. The value is much better with the Grech with these two.
@@LivinRVision I realize there are 300 watt worth of solar panels on the roof. Are you seeing 100% of that capacity being actually delivered? I'm not sure if you have the renogy or another charge controller installed but there should be an app with the metrics. I thought the 300 was more of a theorical max but would be lower in real world use. If you are getting 100% power from those, that would be amazon. Please let me know? Thanks.
@youtubeviewer4356 the reason I mentioned the solar panels are basically just a trickle charge to the house batteries is because they literally are and yes, those 2 Lithionics batteries DO provide the usage time/demonstrations that we have explained in various videos. You can’t find 1,260 ah in any other van manufacturer out there. The solar panels don’t do hardly anything for the house batteries. The unit we are currently testing has the Adventurer solar charger and you can adjust how much you dedicate to the house or chassis batt. If you are interested in the Strada-ion, and you need more info than that, we’d suggest sending us an email and we can point you in the right direction to get what you need. As you know, we test these units short term and never have to change these settings from factory.
5 plus years now and we have not felt unsafe at all. We always choose to stay where we feel the safest. If we aren’t comfortable with a place, we move on and look for another.
Great road trip & be safe always. The only turn off is the wimpish facial reactions when your displeased with something. It's certainly not enough to quit watching your future travels. Simply an observation on what could be a better travel experience without the delicate wimpish host. Blessings Always!!!
Not quite sure what you’re talking about because we have never heard this before. ? Either way, we just continue being who we are and showing our true reactions to things. Just like any show there is, you’re not going to like everything you see or hear. We don’t fake very well. 🤪
It seems like you may have missed some of the videos where we’ve discussed this during our nearly six years of full-time travel and video publishing. We can’t always stay in one place as long as we’d like because we often have other commitments, like keeping up with weekly content, attending upcoming shows, adhering to filming permits with set dates, and other personal or logistical reasons. There’s really no reason for us to make things up, and we’re not sure what we would gain from doing so. We understand that not everyone sees every aspect of our lives, and we don’t have the time to document every detail. Hopefully, this clears things up for you.
@@LivinRVision yes- Thanks - Didn't realize the obligations and restrictions you have on your adventures. I assumed (my mistake) the RV life would afford you guys the freedom but i get it now. I wasn't judging I love the videos i'm hooked watched a bunched as i make my way through them.

Hi, does living on the road. Make you feel less safe. Are there many road issues. When it comes to being safe.
5 plus years now and we have not felt unsafe at all. We always choose to stay where we feel the safest. If we aren’t comfortable with a place, we move on and look for another.
you showed your sheet set attached to comforter in a video i can’t find it on your Amazon store can you tell me the brand? Than you 😍
It’s called “Beddy’s”. Not sold on Amazon. 👍🏻😊🤓

Too sweet? Is that really a thing?

Great road trip & be safe always. The only turn off is the wimpish facial reactions when your displeased with something. It's certainly not enough to quit watching your future travels. Simply an observation on what could be a better travel experience without the delicate wimpish host. Blessings Always!!!
Not quite sure what you’re talking about because we have never heard this before. ? Either way, we just continue being who we are and showing our true reactions to things. Just like any show there is, you’re not going to like everything you see or hear. We don’t fake very well. 🤪
Why do you always seem to have little time to spend in any one area when you have the ability to stay as long as you want?
No worries at all, we get that question once in a while. We are still blessed to be able to live this lifestyle and share our travels with others.
Not ascending to the top of Enchanted Rock was a Major Miss. Shame on you …….
😂 Like many, we miss some things when we are in a rush and limited on time. Shame on us 😂
Great place to visit in the spring with all the bluebonnets. Try some peach cobbler also. 🥸😎🤓
