  • Back to the USA | Ausable Chasm is AWESOME!
    (EPISODE 255)
    ℹ️ About this episode:
On this episode of LivinRvision, we leave the KOA in Quebec City and make our way to the United States border. We weren't as nervous this time but we were still curious since we weren't sure if it would be harder getting back to the United State. Will we have issue this time? 🤔 What questions did they ask us? 😒
Once we made it back across the US border 🇺🇸, we stayed the night at a campground in Plattsburg, NY before starting our journey the next morning to the Ausable Chasm. But first, we find a place with lots of homemade bakery items to satisfy Pie Girls sweet tooth.
The Ausable Chasm is something you will definitely want to put on your bucket list and you’ll know why once you watch this video. Afterwards, we make our way to Willmington, NY where we find another place to stay and a very good place to eat.
Be sure to catch all the details in this episode of, LivinRVision!

You used to be able to take a whole tour through out the Chasm until the ice storm we had in 1998 took a bridge out... The boat ride (which was a real wooden boat not an inflatable one) from the end used to be FUN, alot of teachers would work there in the summer. In the winter the ice forms it is so pretty!!!

Had to laugh, we here in the vermont/New York area, we are right across lake Champlain from there, call Ausable chasm; ahh-sable chasm. Beautiful place, next time cross the lake into Vermont for more beautiful scenery especially late September early October for foliage season. Route 100 or route 7! 🍁

It's always fun hearing come here's try and say some of these names, in NH we had no use for the letter R is it's in the middle of the word.
If they said Con-cord, we knew they not from here.
If they said War-chester, we knew they were not from MA.

Yes, that is on our list to go during foliage. Unfortunately this was the time that we had to pass through. Always make the best of what you have. 😊🤓
We also knew the correct pronunciation before visiting but we kept saying it the way. 😂 Unfortunately during editing I can’t change what we say. 😂

Thanks for taking us along & we both agree the editing is spectacular. We've decided to avoid KOA in the future. Overpriced for amenities we don't need, but occasionally we've needed to be near certain attractions. Wish we could "meet & greet" today, but we're in my home state of Georgia, as we wrap up a 3 month adventure. We're headed to home base for a repair of a certain feature. Vinnie bypassed the hot water and we're experiencing some shower houses 😒😑 Ret ta go, Wanda

I appreciate your opinions regarding destinations, restaurants, etc. My husband and I visited Ausable Chasm, Howe Caverns, Lake Placid and Whiteface Mountain in 1979 when the area was preparing for the 1980 Olympics. It’s as beautiful as I remember, planning to return soon. Last year we visited the NY Finger Lakes, Letchworth State Park and Watkins Glen in autumn, Beautiful areas to explore.

What setup do have for Starlink system

    • @LivinRVision
      @LivinRVision  9 месяцев назад +1

The setup is the normal setup Starlink gives. We do not have the permanent mount on the roof. The service we signed up for at the time was the mobile plan (Starlink for RVs) where you can pause the service at any time.

In the cabinet above the bed. Sorry, we don’t always talk about the same things that we have already in other episodes, but sometimes we do. :)

Really? 🤔 Like anywhere we go, we like some thing and some we don’t but there was a LOT that we loved about Canada…which we discussed. The views on our drive, we seen a lot of beauty in Toronto, loved Old Montreal and Old Quebec.

We find KOA’s some of the worse and most expensive campgrounds out there, normally won’t stay there unless we’re desperate.
