Watching JJ’s little face as you saw the wildlife - this lifestyle is such a gift to your kids - they are experiencing more of the country every day than most people do in a year (some a lifetime). Such an education for them - and fun.
The Tablelands in Gros Morne National Park in Newfoundland and Laborador, Canada is where the earth’s mantle has been pushed up to the surface. It looks like a different world. We were there this summer and will be posting a video of it this fall. You guys would love Newfoundland!
I was working for the Forest Service in Hell's Canyon when Jimmy Carter and family floated Hell's Canyon on the Snake River. We saw lots of Secret Service agents and later saw the Carter family on the river, but had no idea who it was until later in the week when we went to town for groceries. That is a spectacular area! Glad you visited Hell's Canyon!
Glad you enjoyed our state! We did that jet boat trip in Hell's Canyon in 2020. When we passed the fishermen they were actually pulling a sturgeon out of the river. It was easy 7-8 feet long.
Loved your jet boat video. Hubby and I rode on Kilgore Jet Boat ride up the Snake river toward the dam in June 2015. We weren’t as lucky as you who saw mountain goats and other wildlife but we had a thrilling experience! Recommend everyone to do this. Your kids are so lucky that you are providing them with these adventures.
That was a fantastic vlog, and what an adventure loved it. And yes you're right I thought the Grand Canyon was the deepest, so I've learnt something new today. Hells canyon is the deepest, thank you LJMJ. ❤️❤️🇬🇧
I absolutely Love seeing the kids helping with different things. Give it a few more years and once you get to where ever you are going, they can set everything up, and you can take a nap in the truck to rest up after the drive.
Those bugs are called Mormon crickets, and don’t bite or sting and they are migrating! Love watching those two babies growing up into young children and Hensley close to teenage years. It seems like yesterday Hensley was just a baby and didn’t you just have JJ last year? 😂 Wow how they have grown up fast and time goes even faster. Love your family adventures!
That boat ride looked like fun. You all got soaked a few times. But I know it had to be fun. That’s nice they provide you lunch. That was cool looking old style phone. Great video! Thank you fir the video and taking me along with you on your journey. Have a great week!
We used those phones into the mid 60’s. You are correct, you put the cylinder/speaker up to your ear, by turning the crank would send an electrical current to the operator on duty and they would say, who would you like me to connect you too? And you would speak into the cone/microphone in the box and they would connect the line to whoever you were trying to reach. Also, back then they had what they called were party lines. Multiple people would use the same line you were using, so therefore if anyone was using that line you would have to wait until they were finished. Or you could be rude and interrupt there conversation and say I need to make a call. Just keep in mind that they could do the same to you.
What a great tour, hope the kids enjoy it I know JJ went to sleep. he is getting so big and really cute enjoy the rest of thde trip and stay safe...❤❤❤❤
I'm so glad y'all got to experience Hell's Canyon and the tour in my state of Idaho! You're lucky, I've seen hell's canyon, but never done the river rafting you did! Jealous lol
So cool you got to experience Hells Canyon River tour. We've done it 2 times, but out of Lewiston, Idaho. I've also gone Sturgeon fishing a couple of times.
I love the teaching moments you share with your children. One day they’ll realize just how blessed they were to be education while traveling. Thanks for sharing you adventures.
WOW!!! That certainly goes in my bucket list, thanks for showing this ... A question I've had for a bit that I have been wanting to ask you, if you ever go back to Baja, would you use your fifth wheel to do so? Baja is #1 for my winters and I'm swinging between a fifth wheel and a pick up truck or a motorhome. What say you?
Ha! Welcome to my backyard! I spent my mid-20s to mid-30s whitewater rafting the Salmon river-west of where you were on the Snake. The run from Riggins to Lucille is EPIC! We would fry camp on those white sandy beaches you saw on the Snake for a weekend. The best time we had was with the nieces and nephew camping for a week and rafting using my brothers oar-frame boat and hitting those class 3 and 4s! Right now I live on Feb Snake river just north of where you were and went to the river today to my beach and it was gorgeous! Super clear right now! But don’t tell anyone how great it is here. We like it secluded 🤫🤫🤫❤
For smoke detectors I use cheap plastic shower caps to cover the smoke detector. I keep a stupid bracelet inside the shower cap that I wear to remind me to uncover when done cooking. 🚿🍳🚭👍
Yes they are! When my husband heard Hensley talking he was so surprised. "Her voice has changed! How old is she now!?! How long have you been watching them!?"😊
My family and I are preparing to make the jump to fill time rving - thanks in part to yall- and so I will be working from the rig. Can you speak to your “desk” set up you have behind you? At time stamp: 10:27

I really enjoyed this video. My brother-in-law is a captain for one of the largest riverboat cruise lines and he cruises The Snake and Columbia Rivers. My sister travelled with him last month and did the jet boat excursion. She didn’t like it at all.
Oh my goodness Hells Canyon is the deepest canyon. I never new that. I always thought it was the Grand Canyon. Glad you said something and let us know.
Looks like a fun time guys. I'm thinking I should take my 14 ft. fishing boat and 6 hp motor on that river. Keep the good stuff coming guys and give the kids a hub for me.
All I have to say is welcome to Oregon in if you like this you definitely need to take a trip up the river on the Southern Oregon coast that's a total new thing to just like what you experienced there and the redwoods but don't skip Tillamook your clothes you're only about five-six hours away maybe a bit more the Oregon coast is worth seeing and the high desert around bend are worth seeing you don't realize how scenic and how much change can happen from one border to the other in Oregon 🤠🥰😎🤠

Crunching in the road, jumping around your feet, and HUGE! I guess it happens every year but just for a couple days and we got “lucky” 😂
My grandmother had a phone like that. The crank made it ring in everyone's house on the party line. You had your own ring, like one long, two short. Outside the party line, you had to get the operator to make the connection. Oh, and don't share any secrets. Anyone on the party line could listen in.😅
