I have to say that your bike is absolutely stunning. Looks smashing. I love classic wheels usually and I prefer the older v7 but yours... looks just perfect as is. If I would have any space left in a garage I would seriously consider buying one.
As far as Italian bikes, I have owned a ducati 860, moto morini 500 camel, laverda 3cl 1000, cagiva 650, and currently have a 1989 Moto Guzzi Mille GT 1000 and a 2013 Moto Guzzi Stone 750. Have owned several German bikes to include BMW and Zundaps. Grew up with British bikes--meaning Triumph and BSA. Have never been interested in Harley. Owned several Suzuki's to include 2-stroke models and the Wankel rotary 750. The Moto Guzzis have been my favorite above all the rest. Quirky, reliable, tractor-like in that the Japanese "refinement" is not there--but if you love just being connected to machinery and sound--Moto Guzzi!--mike battle
Your experience on different bikes is a great collection of amazing bikes. I’m happy I read your comment as I have been debating between a BMW and Moto Guzzi. I will definitely buy the Guzzi based on your feedback. Thanks. I had a 74 CB550 and a 91 k75. I also grew up riding dirt bikes, so not quite as extensive as your experience.
It is a great Classic ride. I purchased the same bike last month from Motopia New Mexico here in Albuquerque. Been riding for over sixty years and the Guzzi really puts a kids smile on my face every time I fire it up. The only other ride that’s in the same class is the Kawasaki W series bikes. Yep my W650 and W800 also keeps me smiling. Ride those miles with many smiles amigo and if you ever make it to Albuquerque the coffee (or PG TIPS) is on me.
Great review So good I bought one myself, took your advice with the crash bars and ordered off eBay. The other Add on was a rear carrier from Moto Guzzi, a small screen and fender extender from powerbronze. The bike gives so many smiles per mile, brings back memories of the V50ll I owned in the mid 80’s It definitely has enough power for today’s roads, comfortable and full of character. No rider modes, no self cancelling indicators, no auto lights from DRL to headlights , no Apple CarPlay. I also own a Honda NT1100 which great with all the tech, but the Guzzi is real old school motorcycle. I’ve always said everyone must ride a Guzzi at least once in their riding career. Keep up the good work with your entertaining and honest videos
I have also admired the Guzzis for most of my 34 years of riding, but never owned one. Yours is beautiful and that exhaust is a work of art!? Looking for a second bike in 2024, to sit alongside my perfect commuter RE Scram. The Guzzi is on the list!
An excellent choice, Mr. Wheeler ! A simple engine, sensible layout, shaft drive, no excess electronics, and owner maintainable. And value for money. Yes, I had a blue CX500 !
Excellent choice of bike, miles of smiles on a Guzzi, and the V7 in particular. It's well worth joining the owners club (MGCGB), one of the friendliest m/c clubs and only £20/year. 👍👍 to MSC, I speak from experience having bought my V85TT from them in 2021.
I sold my T120 awhile ago, and was looking for something a little lighter, less hp. (I’m 64 years old). The V7 850 checked all the boxes for me (I wasn’t aware of the Special Edition @ the time or I would’ve gone for that). Purchased the Stone, and added Agostini pipes, and bar end mirrors, absolutely love the bike. Huge tank capacity, and shaft drive. I think it’s a great value for the $. Rarely see a Guzzi in the States. I agree re: single dial, easy to read, and I don’t miss cleaning the spokes I had on the Bonneville.
Lol I'm 67 bought a v7, had it for a few seasons, sold it, bought a t120 Bonneville black, chain drive more power, but now I want to go back to the guzzi stone, my other half thinks I need a shrink, I don't think I will miss the extra power, really miss the guzzi
l bought a Lemans in 1978, still in my opinion the best looking factory build 'Cafe Racer' ever. In the same Essex village the local doctor's son owned a Californian.
Great to see your 'new bike excitement'! I still prefer the headlamp and twin dash set up of the Special but agree that tubeless tyres are much better to live with, especially when you get a roadside puncture. The colour scheme and exhausts look fantastic. Look forward to seeing your maiden voyage video soon.
Great choice, I've had a V7 Stone Centenario since 2021 on which I've done 4000 miles, all of which have been great. I'd recommend a fender extender (along with the luggage and engine bars) as that tiny front guard doesn't do much to stop a wet road grit-blasting crap all over the bike.
To be honest I love the bike but dislike the speedometer assembly shame they didn’t give it both speedo & tachometer plus the same power as the V85 would have been nice. Still a thing of beauty and I look forward to further content 👍.
I got my 2023 V7 Stone back in July and I love it so much that I'm still riding into late December. The only thing I might do to it is put on some custom pipes and have it remapped for performance.
Beautiful bike, I agree it would be even better with the twin clocks but it's defiantly a looker. I obviously love transverse V twins as my two bikes are a CX500 (1978 original plastic maggot) and a Moto Guzzi Bellagio and I have to say I love them both. I'm sure you will become a Moto Guzzi fan, what I love about them is people always love to talk to you about your bike. There are also Guzzi owner clubs all over the country where there is loads of knowledge should you ever need it. Enjoy your beautiful bike, I think it even looks nicer than the V7 Stone Corsa.
Nothing more I can add to my previous comments regarding this bike, Dave. Truly a lovely machine, particularly in that beautiful and lustrous gloss black. I agree with you regarding this current acceptance for matt finishes. (They look like they've been done with a rattle-can in the garden shed!)😖 Looking forward to future ride-outs on this bike.👍
that is a lovely bike . rode a Californian demo back in 1976 and have always liked the brand . now 74 and cant handle the weight and have foot problem , enjoy and i look forward to seeing you again . have subscribed ,best wishes .
Was about ready to purchase a super meteor until i took a look at a v7 850 now a proud owner.Centre stand, dart screen, and engine bars are the icing on the cake.
Beautiful looking bike, Dave. I don't know how you've got the patience to stand and talk about it, I'd want to get out on it as soon as it arrived. It looks lovely in the gloss black. Shame they didn't paint the rear mudguard in a gloss finish, but there you go. I like the instrument console. The round look suits the style of bike, and being offset looks more classy than being stuck in the middle. You're probably out on it now, you lucky bugger. Enjoy yourself and report back how it went.👍
Good Morning Dave , What a cracking bike i have to say that this is going to be my fav bike in your garage , im really looking forward to see this out on the road once you have fitted the crash bars & pannier rails , take care & ride safe
A couple of points Dave. I’m glad that special riders are more “ refined “ 😁😁 and I can see poor old Eddie thinking “ why is this guy talking to himself all the time “. Can’t wait until mine arrives. The BMW have balance shafts now so it’s not as noticeable. It does look very nice I have to say especially the gloss finish.
Congrats! Great choice. I rode a pal's Le Mans years ago and instantly fell in love. Great bikes with masses of idiosyncrasies. You certainly know your riding it
Great bike, nice colours. I owned a 79 Le Mans mkl for 10 years, loved it. Haven't owned a Guzzi since but thought about buying the V85TT. I'm sure you'll get much enjoyment from your new bike.
Lovely looking machines they are. Moto Guzzi may not have the longest running name but I'll guess they are the longest running from the original factory currently & still hand built solely in Italy. Interestingly the V7 doesn't have a centre stand but Moto Guzzi were the first to have a proper purpose built centre stand.
I also own this bike , and I love it , I love Guzzi;s , also own a 2021 v7 Special, I totally agree with your assessment of this bike , Love riding it , I also own a 411 Scram as you do , I guess we think alike , I watch all of your videos and appreciate your real world evaluations , Thanks Ernie
Just sold my V7 850 stone and bought a 350 classic reborn 🤔 although while musing the pro and cons of the enfield, I knew my guzzi was still for sale locally... It took a lot of willpower to stop me buying it back... lots of sellers remorse... It definitely won't be my last guzzi.... FYI, the gearbox is very clunky for the first 2000 miles it improves a lot the more miles you do... Enjoy your new bike, I'm more than a little bit envious.
Congratulations on your beautiful Moto Guzzi! It's absolutely stunning! I own the 2021 special in grey.......absolutely love it! Enjoy the bike. Greetings from the Netherlands
Love everything about that V7, and have for some time now. The only thing holding me back is the lack of dealers and service where I live in the states, but other than that, it’s a real looker and a tried and true work horse. BTW… Love that Shepherd. Best dog breed ever in my opinion. I’ve had two and both were the absolute best. Congratulations on the bike.
Your production assistant and Guzzi are most welcome :-). I looked at a grey v7 in the flesh yesterday and have to say I’m very tempted to drain the pension somewhat 🙂
Really nice, Dave. Thanks for all the high-resolution close-ups. I have a 2024 Stone Corsa on order and am looking forward to taking delivery. I think if one were really bothered by the offset LCD, one could 3-D print a new mount which centered it left-to-right.
Welcome to the V7 850 club! There aren’t many bikes that pull at the heart strings and also have such great reliability, practicality and road manners.
That's a right Bobby Dazzler Dave. I'm a bit Guzzi fan, so I totally agree with your reasons for purchasing as I ent through a similar process before buying mine. The only issue with buying a Guzzi is the lack of dealers, I had to travel to North Wales (Denbigh) as they were my nearest dealer.
@thebingleywheeler I think there used to be a dealer called Cob and Jagger or something like that!. I remember holidaying in York in the early 90s and seeing a Guzzi Cali 3 in a shop window in Shipley(?). The dealer did try to sell me said machine, but I was pretty broke (still am!), and i'm sure it was Cob and Jagger or Jagger and Cob. Those days, I rode an ex Met police BMW R80/7 with an RT fairing and Krauser panniers, which I fitted after taking off the police issue Cravens
That's a lovely bike, Dave! Personally, I prefer the twin clock arrangement, but cast wheels are better. I too thought that 2021 Special in the blue colour was a beautiful-looking bike; pick of the bunch, that one! I agree on the need for engine bars and, as others have said, a fender extender for the front; have both on my Breva 750. It pays to warm the motor for a minute or two first thing, as it makes the initial gearshift easier. Also, I've found that, on the move, pre-loading the lever results in smoother, quieter shifts. It's ironic that the bike doesn't come with a centrestand, given that Guzzi reputedly invented them; one for mine costs $500 here in Oz... Anyway, enjoy; I know that you will! 👍
I think this easily the best looking, and most distinctive, of the V7 range. It's gorgeous and I think it looks even better than the Special. Cast wheels look good and are more practical than wheels with tubed tyres (I know, having recently had a puncture, it was right pain). I even think the single speedo suits the bike, twin clocks are a bit common I think. The speedo being offset is a nice unusual touch, typical of Guzzi.
Stunning bike. The best V7, for certain. I'd have one. Love the offset single clock. The whole thing is vastly superior to any Triumph or RE. Givi luggage! Only 8,200 on the road. Amazing. Nick
I have a Moto Guzzi after a life long affection for BMW Motorrad that was originally grounded in the /2 and /5 bikes. Decades ago fter I sold a perfectly useable R1250GSA on the grounds of being a mechanically fussy, expensive, ego dealership bike I couldn’t bond with - and it being the third or fourth BMW having gone that direction - and seeing the next version come out and be even more off in that direction- and not really finding much else I could relate to - well, after that I suddenly looked at Moto Guzzi. I have no idea why I didn’t look at M-G as an option sooner. Moto Guzzi makes wonderful motorcycles. They are extremely machine-like. They are riders’ bikes, not squid bikes or trick bikes, rider life bikes. Much of the owner work can be done DIY for pleasure or necessity. The parts are available. If you’re in that space, a great to learn about but rather small used market is there. Finally the dealer/independent mechanic/ owner community triad is pretty old school. Mine is a 1400, but they are just great bikes as a line. And the one you have is a beauty.
Great to hear from someone of such like mind Chris. I did the whole high Tec top of the range BMW thing and like you was left cold and unfulfilled. Give me old school mechanical reality all day long 😊
Brilliant Dave. You’re an inspiration. Look forward to the journey with the new Moto Guzzi. It’s in the mix for me too for my first modern classic/ retro. Hope to see you hit 7k before 2024 if everyone pulls their finger out! Cheers, Christian.
An awesome looking and great sounding model! Interesting that you mention the centre stand or not having one. A fellow locally ordered the centennial version this past June. He opted for a centre stand which the dealer could not supply due to delays in availability from Genoa. He was delivered his machine on the last day of November. Looking forward to the quiz 👍👌👏
I have one & you won’t be disappointed. It’s a great all rounder with a perfect engine power delivery from 3k up to the red zone. But happy enough round town in the 20 mph zone. Only niggle I had was the cheap front disk. The bobbin spring washers are too weak and after a few hundred running in miles rattled around on the bobbins so much I replaced it with an EBC disk.. just keep an ear out for it, you maybe ok. But I’m not complaining as the bike itself as a whole, well you’d forgive it almost anything. She’s a peach of a bike. And I’ve owned a good few in my 45 years continuously on 2 wheels
Aye up Dave !!! What a beautiful looking machine. The sound of the engine and exhaust is intoxicating to my ears. Looking forward to your first ride out. Ride safe as always. Cheers from the States.
Looks brilliant!! The design truly flows. I know you like to personalise your bikes but to me the only things I would do is add a small smoked screen (just for looks) and maybe a very low chrome sissy bar - but if left standard still looks ace!!
Superb bike and great value. When I check a finance calculator my 1978 CX500 would have been around the same 45 years on......a masterpiece in its day but not 66hp and 850 like yours. Its taken Guzzie a long while to get on to water cooling. Keep the salt off it !!!
TBW very much congratulations on truly a beautiful Italian motorcycle! It just makes perfect sense & will definitely awaken them! This will keep you young & continue the rebellion in you🇮🇹 Merry Christmas TBW🎄
An absolute beauty!! New bike day is always a great day! Your review sealed the deal for me, this will be in my garage shortly! (We are the same age & deserve the excitement, lol). All the best from Canada & Merry Christmas! Ronny
Beautiful bike. I have a 2016 Eldorado an it's an awesome bike. One of the things i like about my Guzzi is with a windshield, grip cover and electric warmer and that big fat engine hanging out the side, my riding can be extended further into winter. Kind of hot in the summer but being able to ride more months out of the year is a plus.
A wonderful machine, the only middleweight(ish) motorcycle left in the market with shaft drive, everything else these days just have dirty chains. You will need an extender for the front mudguard to protect that gorgeous engine, like all other manufacturers Moto Guzzi unfortunately no longer give their bikes functional mudguards.
It is the real thing, not a pretender. Still made in Mandello Italy factory. Shaft Drive rules.Chain drive drools . Great prices too. Timeless classic.
It’s a wonderful bike and I’m looking forward seeing it out on the road. Also loved the way Eddie looked up is surprise then dashed off when you said it was the most expensive model. 🤣🤣🤣
I want to buy one of these! I can't see much I would change, being in the USA I don't care for our bigger tail light and I think we get non led signals, maybe one of the aftermarket brackets that center the speedo but that's it, pretty much perfect to my 70 year old eyes.
Happy new bike Dave🥳. Looks and sounds beautiful. Like you the V7’s are my sort motorcycle, great choice; luv your enthusiasm and energy too. Ride safe. Neil
Looks very nice, according to Eddie seems to smell nice, and doubtless sounds lovely too. Personally I would like the dial to be central rather than offset, but with the Super Meteor also similarly offset it probably feels familiar.
Cracking bike took the v7 stone night pack out for a ride loved every second I was riding it until the rocker switch on the left decided to pack up. Dealer said don't let it put you off buying one. It actually did ar the time, but Would I have one now yes is the answer but I would change all the electrical switches to Moto gadget switch gear.
Guzzis have a certain charm and character that not everyone gets, but if you do then they get under your skin big time. I speak from experience as a long term goose rider
Thats a very nice bike . When i saw this bike at the show it realy looked impresive . I love the engine note . I still think that the Royal Enfield is great value for money for those of us what cant afford to by a top brand name . It has retro looks and a modern twist . I am going to get a test rid on one and maybe i will sell a couple of my bikes to buy brand new . The first time since the 80s. Happy christmas to all and happy biking for the new year.👍👍👍👍
I had. CX500 and loved it to bits, traded in for a BMW R65 but missed the plastic maggot. Looking forward to seeing the Moto Guzzi but will be having words about you keep dissing my Bonnie’s price and lockable, secure, waterproof, easy clean and convenient top box 😂
Great review and fantastic bike! I have the V7III Special and it is my love, but I know yours is even better. You didn't mention the embroidered seat cover......who embroiders their brand onto a seat? And you have not had it long, but maintenance is a breeze.....take off a cover and the valves are right there! Air filter under seat, 5 minute job. And the tank holds 5.5 US gallons! And it is low in the frame. But the feel and torque of that engine, with all the power in the 3.500 to 6, 700 range, just where I want to ride.......not in the 6,000 to 10,000 range of so many other bikes.... superb! Great looking bike too!
Hello and Greetings to you and your assistant, ;-) he introduces his self in Alfred Hitchcock style :-) i own this Moto Guzzo V7 Stone 850 Special Edition since middle of 2023 . is real different to my "World traveling Bike" a Honda Transalp PD06 from 1991 After 8000km is still happy and i a perfect "Good Weather Bike" - And my wife also fits very well on the back of the bike in her tight leather dress . Only the original tires not perfect for me , i switched to Conti Road Attack 4. I also had the opportunity to compare the special edition and the normal 850. It's not quite 2 HP and not 2 Nm difference, but the engine characteristic is definitely different The Special Edition is “sportier” if one can say so Moto Guzzi Bikes has a own soul .. you can love it or hate it :-) Greetings from Germany , and thanks for your Time
Great choice, lovely bike, looking forward to your future videos 🙂. Think I'd still be tempted to put a centre stand on it as it makes it so much easier for checking and changing oil, cleaning, doing tyre pressures etc. I thought you might have bought it from Thirsk or Sheffield seen as their nearer you, but can see why you didn't when I had look at deal's. Will you be going too Nottingham for service work?
Great video TBW, really enjoy your relaxed presentation style and what a bike to have as the centre piece for this one! Lovely addition and congratulations on the new steed! Sean
@@thebingleywheeleryeah that's right, I do have a spare down pipe and a silencer but I'm thinking of keeping them until better weather and just sanding and polishing the scuffs on my pipes for now... Other than that the bike is tip top again! Who wouldve thought! Cheers!
Always loved a Guzzi and the Stone is a cracker! Nearly bought an 850 le mans back in the day but it just felt too small physically. Ended up with a Yamaha 1.1. Looking forward to seeing the stone out and about, and I've made an appointment to talk to someone who says they can help me get over my issues with the instrument positioning. :) Congratulations mate, beautiful bike.
You're correct the Guzzi Lemans was a very compact motorcycle and quite small by some of todays offerings. I'm relatively small in stature....more so in 1978.... so it was okay. Its distinctive profile was beautiful ...in my opinion....
I hear you Brian. I tested the Ducati 900 supersport as well and fell in love, but it was the same problem. I'm not huge but they were just too small, but what bikes they were! I ended up loving my Yammie though, a competent cruiser with teeth like a great white when you needed them. Happy days.@@brianperry
Great choice and ticks all the boxes including some tick's I don't like. #1 is the weight. After 3 ST13/Pan Euro and a 650 Vstrom I was looking for a lighter bike for these old bones. Granted I have heard it carries it's weight down low. 500 pounds or there abouts is a bit much.. #2 is dealer support. I have a MG dealer about ½ hour from me and has been around for many years. There are about as many Enfield dealers as MG dealers around where I live. My problem is if I go on a trip and need dealer support. I have read MG factory support is lacking to say the least. This BEAUTIFUL bike is still on my radar though...
Love the bike Dave, like my GoldStar it's got character by the buckle load. The offset clock doesn't offend me, i just think it looks strange and wonder why they didn't centralise it. That seat looks really comfortable and i do like that it's air cooled. Looking forward to your upcoming videos on it.
Not only is the clock off set , for no good reason it seems , but it is turned a way from level . Looks like a moron designed it and it was installed by someone left their glasses at home . I love these bikes , but I would want the dual clocks and alloy wheels which are not a combination Guzzi sell . I could do with out the Special's chrome , it is really nice , but it would probably suffer corrosion especially with me being slow to polish anything ! So a Stone with two clocks please Guzzi ! And maybe that variable cam timing and power of the V85 engine (for 2024) , real Brembo disks to go with the calipers and fully adjustable suspension thank you . Almost perfect otherwise ! .
Stunning bike! One of the most beautiful Guzzis ever produced.
I have to say that your bike is absolutely stunning. Looks smashing. I love classic wheels usually and I prefer the older v7 but yours... looks just perfect as is. If I would have any space left in a garage I would seriously consider buying one.
You could always shoe horn one in 😊😉

Was about ready to purchase a super meteor until i took a look at a v7 850 now a proud owner.Centre stand, dart screen, and engine bars are the icing on the cake.
Great call Michael 👍🏻
Beautiful looking bike, Dave. I don't know how you've got the patience to stand and talk about it, I'd want to get out on it as soon as it arrived.
It looks lovely in the gloss black. Shame they didn't paint the rear mudguard in a gloss finish, but there you go.
I like the instrument console. The round look suits the style of bike, and being offset looks more classy than being stuck in the middle.
You're probably out on it now, you lucky bugger. Enjoy yourself and report back how it went.👍
Cheers buddy just need to fit the bars then I’ll be away 😊👍🏻
@@thebingleywheeler 😀👌👍
Good Morning Dave , What a cracking bike i have to say that this is going to be my fav bike in your garage , im really looking forward to see this out on the road once you have fitted the crash bars & pannier rails , take care & ride safe
Cheers Steve I’ll be fitting them over Christmas
A couple of points Dave. I’m glad that special riders are more “ refined “ 😁😁 and I can see poor old Eddie thinking “ why is this guy talking to himself all the time “. Can’t wait until mine arrives. The BMW have balance shafts now so it’s not as noticeable. It does look very nice I have to say especially the gloss finish.
Cheers Pal yes you are definitely more refined 😂 Yes I love the gloss…Matt black tank and panels on a bike doesn’t tickle my pickles! 😁
That’s going to sound really glorious around those lovely Yorkshire roads in the spring.. enjoy!
Cheers Duncan
Absolutely stunning modern classic the Moto Guzzi V7 Special Edition. Looks and sounds stunning ! ⭐️🇦🇺
@pwokaren It’s a most faithful tribute to the Moto Guzzi legacy 😊👍🏻
But with shaft drive the need for a center stand is pretty much nil.
Cheers Brian
Congratulations on your beautiful Moto Guzzi! It's absolutely stunning! I own the 2021 special in grey.......absolutely love it! Enjoy the bike. Greetings from the Netherlands
Thank you great to hear from the Netherlands….i have happy memories of Delft and Tilburg
Cheers Mike couldn’t you use a good local Indy mechanic? Eddie is our fourth Shepherd….he’s a rescue this time 😊👍🏻
Disagree on the Shepard comment. The red cattle dog is by far head and shoulders Infront of the Shepard and it's also Australian bred.
Your production assistant and Guzzi are most welcome :-).
I looked at a grey v7 in the flesh yesterday and have to say I’m very tempted to drain the pension somewhat
🙂
Get draining Dave 😂
Really nice, Dave. Thanks for all the high-resolution close-ups. I have a 2024 Stone Corsa on order and am looking forward to taking delivery. I think if one were really bothered by the offset LCD, one could 3-D print a new mount which centered it left-to-right.
Yes indeed….a cafe race fan then 😊👍🏻
Totally understand why you love that machine, it’s simply stunning, and yes a true classic. Ticks all my boxes too. Looking forward to future videos.
Cheers buddy 😊👍🏻
Lovely bike I owned a California 1100 it was brilliant really liked how first gear engaged without a clank or a clunk.
If they do a replica lemans mk1 version as royal Enfield have done with their continental GT I’ll be buying one.
Welcome to the V7 850 club! There aren’t many bikes that pull at the heart strings and also have such great reliability, practicality and road manners.
Cheers my friend 😊👍🏻
Awsome video from someone that loves motorbikes!...also the dog added a wonderful touch...greetings from Mexico, cheers mate!
Hi thanks and great to hear from Mexico
That's a right Bobby Dazzler Dave. I'm a bit Guzzi fan, so I totally agree with your reasons for purchasing as I ent through a similar process before buying mine. The only issue with buying a Guzzi is the lack of dealers, I had to travel to North Wales (Denbigh) as they were my nearest dealer.
Cheers buddy I believe we now have a Guzzi franchise in Leeds so should be okay 😊👍🏻
@AliasMrHackenbacker Cobb and Jagger is still in Shipley mainly Kawasaki and BSA…..
Agreed entirely 😂👍🏻
Thank you Christian that means a lot to me thank you so much for your continued loyalty and support 😊👍🏻
Cheers Ian I would only want a centre stand for chain work I think….get your thinking cap on for that quiz 😁👍🏻
Gorgeous bike, doesn't need for anything, quality machine 🙂🏍🇬🇧👍
Another Guzzista joins the fold! Congratulations and wish you lots of safe rides! Grtz from Belgium
Cheers Steven great to hear from Belgium
I love the looks of this bike... except the screen. Tuneless wheels are a big plus. Also I love your assistant. What a beautiful dog!
Thank you I’ll keep an eye/ear out for that 👍🏻
That bike is your neighbour's favourite sounding bike whether they like it or not🤗. It gets a big thumbs up from me!!
They hate it already….result 😂
@@thebingleywheeler 😂🤣
Aye up Dave !!! What a beautiful looking machine. The sound of the engine and exhaust is intoxicating to my ears. Looking forward to your first ride out. Ride safe as always. Cheers from the States.
Cheers Rick and all the best to you buddy
Looks brilliant!! The design truly flows. I know you like to personalise your bikes but to me the only things I would do is add a small smoked screen (just for looks) and maybe a very low chrome sissy bar - but if left standard still looks ace!!
Cheers Mike good suggestions
Superb bike and great value. When I check a finance calculator my 1978 CX500 would have been around the same 45 years on......a masterpiece in its day but not 66hp and 850 like yours. Its taken Guzzie a long while to get on to water cooling. Keep the salt off it !!!
TBW very much congratulations on truly a beautiful Italian motorcycle! It just makes perfect sense & will definitely awaken them! This will keep you young & continue the rebellion in you🇮🇹
Merry Christmas TBW🎄
And to you too Steve 😊👍🏻
I am a huge Triumph enthusiast but this bike looks really good..and btw your dog too. Greetings from Bavaria
Hi thank you and great to hear from Bavaria 😊👍🏻
A classic ...classy motorcycle it looks superb....look forward to seeing ...vlogs with it in .😊
Stunning motorcycle; love the colours and that Arrow exhaust. I own a pair of Triumph's but I'm very tempted.
I am definitely going to buy a V7 and if I can find one from the 70s later I would love to get one of those also.
That engine must keep the old pins nice and warm
You know it. LOL@@thebingleywheeler
About to buy my 3rd Guzzi.
Cheers….extender next on the list 😊👍🏻
@@thebingleywheeleror the longer mudguard from earlier V7's will bolt straight on 👍
They really did get everything right with this bike style wise.
It is the real thing, not a pretender. Still made in Mandello Italy factory. Shaft Drive rules.Chain drive drools . Great prices too. Timeless classic.
Lovely bike and good video. The single clock would still do my head in.
I have a moto guzzi v9. beautiful motorcycle. I am very pleased with it
Beautiful machine,I have owned ,2,guzzis,a 1994,1000s,and a 1997,1100,sport injection, lots of character, and torque, regards Mike Derbyshire
Great video..Beautiful bike…I just bought the 24 Super Meteor 650. Need two hundred more miles before the first service. Be safe out there…👍
Wow! I usually likes more the v7 Classic but this one it's just astonishing
It’s a wonderful bike and I’m looking forward seeing it out on the road.
Also loved the way Eddie looked up is surprise then dashed off when you said it was the most expensive model. 🤣🤣🤣
You’ve sure got an eye for detail there 😂
I want to buy one of these!
Ride safe.
Neil
Cheers Neil and all the best to you….ride safe too pal 😊👍🏻
Absolutely gorgeous bike! Congrats.
Looks very nice, according to Eddie seems to smell nice, and doubtless sounds lovely too. Personally I would like the dial to be central rather than offset, but with the Super Meteor also similarly offset it probably feels familiar.
A center speedo kit. ruclips.net/video/pocoww2GM0E/видео.htmlsi=bsyfxXt5KeG4Lzvq
Cracking bike took the v7 stone night pack out for a ride loved every second I was riding it until the rocker switch on the left decided to pack up.
Dealer said don't let it put you off buying one. It actually did ar the time, but
Would I have one now yes is the answer but I would change all the electrical switches to Moto gadget switch gear.
Me diss a triumph Andy….cant afford one is all 😂
Great review and fantastic bike!
Yes they’re a great bit of kit Scott and a real looker 👍🏻
Great looking bike Dave, I love Guzzi's but have yet to own one but there's time yet ! Love Eddie's appearance in the video by the way! 🐕😊👍
Cheers buddy it’s easier to let him gate crash than shut him away 😂
Nice job 👍🏻 , I bought a cb1100rs and love it - retro like yours with a modern twist .
Congratulations Mate! A motorcycle with Soul!
Hello and Greetings to you and your assistant, ;-) he introduces his self in Alfred Hitchcock style :-)
i own this Moto Guzzo V7 Stone 850 Special Edition since middle of 2023 .
is real different to my "World traveling Bike" a Honda Transalp PD06 from 1991
After 8000km is still happy and i a perfect "Good Weather Bike" - And my wife also fits very well on the back of the bike in her tight leather dress .
Only the original tires not perfect for me , i switched to Conti Road Attack 4.
I also had the opportunity to compare the special edition and the normal 850.
It's not quite 2 HP and not 2 Nm difference, but the engine characteristic is definitely different
The Special Edition is “sportier” if one can say so
Moto Guzzi Bikes has a own soul .. you can love it or hate it :-)
Greetings from Germany , and thanks for your Time
Great choice, lovely bike, looking forward to your future videos 🙂.
That looks gorgeous. I have no intention to change my Triumph Thruxton R, but I'd love to try one of these. Enjoy!
Cheers buddy Thruxton R is a beautiful bike 😊👍🏻
Great video TBW, really enjoy your relaxed presentation style and what a bike to have as the centre piece for this one! Lovely addition and congratulations on the new steed! Sean
@MindfulMotorcyclist Thank you Sean and all the best to you and yours. Hope the BSA repairs go well….just that exhaust down pipe to sort now?
@@thebingleywheeleryeah that's right, I do have a spare down pipe and a silencer but I'm thinking of keeping them until better weather and just sanding and polishing the scuffs on my pipes for now... Other than that the bike is tip top again! Who wouldve thought! Cheers!
That is an absolutely gorgeous bike.
Congrats on the Guzzi 🎉lovely bike love the colours
Cheers Nick I’m a “black” convert 😉
Almost perfect otherwise ! .
Such a beautiful bike, the only thing i wish it had the double gauges like the classic model,
I think your pooch is hanging out for walkies😊
enjoy the new Guzzi, mate, look forward to you getting out on road as you Yorkshire folk say .
