Yangus is one of my favortite JRPG characters of all time. That underpants dance still cracks me up!
Seriously, he is a really fun character.
I remember having Yangus die before heading into the first town. Went through the gate and his coffin right next to the hero heading into it made me giggle

@@markplott4820 It's pretty funny that we've got both a guy saying he cares what Jessica has, which I 100% agree with, but also a guy claiming that "especially women" care about what other people have two comments later. It seems to me what most humans lack, whether man or woman, is self awareness.

Yangus is my favorite character in the WHOLE FRANCHISE
Yangus is the most important in a boss fight since almost every boss has High defense for magic and not much physical defense so always buff up your physical character in Dragon Quest games since they're the ones you ignore the most. Admit it!
I found Jessica to be more valuble for physical damage. Psych up, oomph, and dragon lash.
Whip skills were heavily nerfed.
How?
Damage wise. Twin Dragon Lash does like half the damage it did on PS2.
In Dragon Quest VIII we got Goku, Bulma, Trunks, Yoda, Epona and....Yangus! Yeah!... Yangus is the most original and unique character in this episode.
Haven't you heard? Dodoria got a skin bleaching. Yangus is the result.
Before ever playing this game I always thought Yangus was a terrible character in design.
But now having played the game I can safely say he is one of the best characters ever created.
I Remember when i First started the game a long time ago i was like "lemme Guess he Is the Classic Tough bad guy cliché dumb but serious" and then he Just became my favorite character in the franchise lol
There are still some moves/skills I've never seen in this game and I think I've beaten it three or four times.That underpants dance was amazing lol.
Yangus will always have a place in my heart. One of my favorite characters of all time.

do you have to have a new 3ds to play this? or can you play it on older models? I have the one that came out first. the really blocky looking one that is blue.
any 3DS will work as well as the 2DS , but camera partally controlled by Analog Stick on the Right, you use the camera angle to solve some puzzles.
thanks for the info. I'll try to solve most puzzles without relying on the camera. I just really miss this game on ps2
