You are aware the costume changes are present in the original japanese release right? Only the original ps2 has them not changed, the 3ds are changed regardless and they're not bad changes at all nor do they matter. As for the music......you got me there, I don't get why the na release has changed music. Only thing I found out is that a lot of the new music in the japanese version is heavily copyrighted and won't allow it to go outside japan

Kübel350 well unless they're playing the original ps2 version on their 3ds, then my point still remains that modded or not, the game will be the same. Also it's not really censorship when square themselves changed it of their own accord, belief that it was due to harsher judging from the japanese ratings board compared to back then

Leveling up gives you points for skills, unlike DQ7, this game has fixed characters (not custom vocations)
