Seowon shined in that Love Killa performance. Guy is super adorable and then effortlessly showed a whole 180 just for Mnet to not give him any screenstime

Matthew is one of my picks but this performance was Seowons! He was the best and yet was barley shown.
To explain what op means by Jiwoong going through hell
It started with him wanting to be an idol and his parents didn't agree but he went ahead and became a trainee idk I forgot how many years he was a trainee probably more than 5 and at last he debuted in INX in 2016 but the conditions were horrible like they had to pay for their own makeup & costumes etc etc
After like a year they left the company and filed a case of mistreatment or something and the boys of INX won and their contract was terminated
He then joined Ateeen a predebute grp they promoted a bit in Japan around 2018 but soon the members filed a report for SA . Apparently the younger members were targeted and Jiwoong was one of the younger members. It's not exactly known who were SA but yeah . Last time i heard of it in 2021 the case was still ongoing idk if it came to an end or not
Then he joined a reality show called Burn Up: Challenge to Billboard in 2020
He won the competition in male category and released a song with the winner in female category but it wasn't really much
Then in 2021 he got his first role in sweet Blood
then in 2022 he starred in bls Kissable lips and Roommates of Poongduck which made him popular but it lead to all the homophobes targeting him and his bl partner Seobin and after he joined BP it got worse so much so that their acting agency had to issue warnings about legal action
He really deserves the world 😭

I am reminded by the fact that Sunoo was the most popular with general voting on I-Land, but then nearly didn't get to debut with Enhypen because so many people voted for their 2nd favs instead assuming Sunoo would still get the votes. Always vote for you r favs even if they seem a shoe in!

Haruto slayed the performance, I need him to debut so bad, he’s talented but also super fun and iconic. I do feel like ZOOM was the best boys planet performance we saw so far and I really doubt that there is going to be one that is able to top it.
I'd like to believe that Jiwoong pushed Ricky because Ricky pushed Jongwoo out, especially considering how Jongwoo wanted Love Killa lmao. But anyway, this episode gave some wholesome screentime with Jiwoong, and hopefully, the producers show more of it until the end, considering how other trainees also relied on him (like Yujin, Hwanhee, Matthew, etc.).

Seowon was the highlight of the love killa team imo. I'm sorry but I felt like I was just watching Jiwoong's demo stage but upgraded. Nothing new really. And Matthew... he switches faster than my rusty emotions! Like if him or Seowon were the first place, I would've been very pleased. But it is what it is. Honestly though, Gyuvin was the most underwhelming out of them four. Like he did great but other three were way better.

saaame omg, like, i know jiwoong and matthew were especially great but seowon really deserved the win in my opinion 😭 you could see a totally new side of him and his different vocals really balanced the overall performance and he was so stable and had the best facial expressions... he truly deserves the be ranked higher after that 😭🙏🏻

Seowon was robbed! You know.. I actually forgot Gyuvin was in this team most of the time because he was so underwhelming. To be fair he also barley for screen time and when he did they made it seem like he was lost

correction for the home parts assignment: jay DID get the main vocalist, seungeon got the killing part and sub vocal 1
i think jay was meant to sing the high note but they switched it to seungeon either because jay isn’t comfortable with singing in that range using chest voice (as he said that he was ok with any part as long as it wasn’t chest voice), or simply because as we all know, he was sick
The main vocalist are DK & Seungkwan in seventeen. Yet for this song, Woozi which is the lead vocalist is the highlight of the song. So even tho Jay is the main vocalist he most definitely will get less line & I've already expected it since the beginning. Seungeon do get he killing part a.k.a Woozi's part which has the most line in this specific song.

Not to discredit them ofc, I’m sure they will be amazing, but it’s getting a bit predictable + it’s a popularity contest at the end of the day.
As for Jiwoong's rank dropping.... Of course this could be dangerous for him, it's never a good thing. Just keep voting for him. But before anyone actually panics, we should all wait a bit. This will shake voters up.
And remember going in the finale having a unstable rank is actually a good thing, because voters won't feel like the contastant will debut anyway and be more likely to vote for him.

Zoom performance was the best this episode whereas the other teams had members who were falling behind and only a few stood out aka seunghwan, jongwoo, keita etc. meanwhile if you told me that love killa team was a three member unit I would have believed you because gyuvin was non existent, even if he choreographed the dance break, his presence during his parts was very weak imo and it’s insane how seunghwan who can sing, rap and dance is ranked 24th when others with weaker skills are in top9.. your comments are on point as usual and I’m excited for the Law and limousine performances next episode

This episode was so much more lighter, and felt better, minus the evil editing, but it's mnet so this is the best I have gotten.
- Zhang Hao is so adorable and I want and need him to debut.
- I love Junhyeon sm he makes things so enjoyable, everything he did was so good, he danced but also had fun on the stage. The fake abs, the inverted glasses, I would have voted for him
- zoom was such a genius performance, another great team managed by keita, he is a good leader also he killed his rap. Haruto slayed his rap and his dance. He's so talented. And tbh, I didn't think wumuti would suit zoom very much but boy did he prove me wrong. He stole the performance for me too the wumutitititi, the high note at the climax, everything. Ollie was adorable as usual, Hyunbeen also did his best. This was my favorite performance.
- home was gorgeous, when jongwoo hugs yoo seungeon I literally gasped, it was beautiful✨️
- Jiwoong killed his intro🤧 "dId I mAkE U anXioUsS ArgGH" Seowon did so well, the switch up was crazy📈🫀 I can't talk abt switch up and not mention Matthew, the way he changes 🤌 And I'm sorry but infront of the others Gyuvin didn't deserve his first place. He did well, but he wasn't the best there.

I didn't see Matthew as being evil edited or a bad edit. I saw it more of a character development for Matthew. If it really was a bad edit, they would have pulled a Kristyan or a Ma Jingxiang. I actually liked seeing a different side to Matthew. Even though he's smiling all the time, he's pretty strict with practise and still cares about his team. I also liked how they edited Jiwoong to be more of the older brother helping and also how he's not just the pretty vampire but more silly goofball (don't know why but jiwoong gives me vampire vibes lol)
I dont know if Jongwoo was in Mnets' high priority trainee to debut at the beginning. If he wasn't, they definitely pivoted and are giving him all the good edits now. I dont even know how he got in my top 3, but it "hurts" me to take him out of my voting rotation😅 I guess I have to thank Jiwoong for that.
My favourite performance has to be Zoom and home. Those two I wanted to watch again as soon as I saw the performance video. As much as I'm a huge monbebe, it took me a couple watches before I could separate the Monstas from the trainees. Once I was able to do that, I've been obsessed with their performance.
I don't understand how han yujin maintains his high rank when gunwook has yet to touch the top 9. He hasn't shown anything outstanding since ep1, which was quickly negated in ep2

I will cry if jiwoong doesn't debut because he is the person I like the most and I can't imagine how he feel that no matter how hard he tried he couldn't debut successfully. The man has wanted to be an idol for 14 years and he is still trying. If someone that passionate can't live their dream then how hopeless is this world to make one person suffer over and over again. And more and more jiwoong stans keep saying he is going to drop taking away my hope. Now three out of three of Hui's performances have been used for clickbait.
And in three out of three of Jiwoong's performances he has shown a significant amount of his nacked chest.
While I am only complaining about on of these two, these are some examples of the patterns I am noticing a lot in the recent episodes. I hope something intersting happens next episode.
Am I the only one who noticed the mnet edit showing matthew as a "bad leader"? Because they only showed how he was pressured to be in that position and how he made the group's atmosphere heavy by not knowing how to manage the team's training/rest time, overloading them.
Also, it was the first time mnet showed a more serious side of matthew. They always showed the cute matthew who is always smiling, but in this episode he barely smiled. Even mnet emphasized when matthew didn't smile at jiwoong's joke, when jiwoong tried to lighten the mood. They even asked Matthew in the confessional why he didn't smile at Jiwoong's joke.
I think matthew was right to rush things and demand more from the team, also because they don't have much time to train and people expect a lot from them for being in the top 9.
However, I could see that his attitude was affecting their mood/teamwork, and also Matthew himself, because he wasn't feeling like a good leader.
He himself said in the confessional that "he just wanted someone to say that he was doing well" and "that he wanted someone to comfort him" and then jiwoong went there and comforted him, telling him to relax, that he was doing well...
I think mnet showed more of a "negative" side of matthew. Unlike Jiwoong. I already think that the editing showed a positive side of Jiwoong, that he is a good hyung, that he understood Matthew's side (without Matthew having told him how he felt). He approached Matthew first to talk/consolate and give him strength. It showed how experienced and mature Jiwoong is, as he didn't get upset or fight with Matthew for his attitudes as a leader (although he was very tired like the rest of the team) In fact, they showed that jiwong understands matthew's side and why he is rushing things. But jiwoong went there and said he didn't need to rush and etc... Anyway, you can see that mnet wants jiwoong as the hyung and leader of this group.
I thought maybe the whole team was potrayed as overrrated

and jiwoong forgetting his lines, gyuvin not being able to show the choreography
it felt like matthew was the only serious one for the performance
That doesn't make sense. they gave him a character development arc. showing his growth as a first time leader. his struggles and everything. and let's make sure to notice that he got most of the talking heads there and so we are seeing his justification for his actions instead of the pov of the other members like they do with the other contestants like Krystian or Jingxiang. so it's not like an evil edit. but a character growth moment. showing him see what was most important. and most importantly, they showed his resolution.
Im sad for lee dong yeol. I love him in up10tion (huhwanee) too, but he is out. Like he has no screentime, and isnt popular at all. I know he is gonna get elimated. I know he is still gonna be in up10tion. But he deserves way better then what he gets on this show (he is also so talented and pretty) i love jungwoo. I know probably isn’t gonna make it, but i still hope. And hui needs to go up. It would be weird for him not to make the top9. I still want him in pentagon, but like he needs to be in the top9. it would just be wrong, if he isnt. But i loved the performances

What mentors said was absolutely correct, If you're not that skilled enough maybe now you will get followers with your visual but they will leave you in no time friend. I think now even the koreans are talking about his lack of skills, I saw it in youtube, you can watch it if you want.

idk what to said about love killa ranking tho bcs the live audiences said gyuvin stood out during the stage that some thought he took the killing part and he even choreographed the dance break too. i think it's just mnet that just gave a lot of screentimes on the other trainees like i barely saw gyuvin even when it was his part too
That doesn't make sense because the audience don't see the behind the scenes so they won't know who choreographed it. also, in the audience, you can see everyone and so you can choose who you want to watch or pay attention to. so the person who you go there to watch will definitely stand out to you. especially if you don't have a more open minded mindset going into it. based on korean votes alone, gyuvin is the most popular in that group. so him winning makes sense because of the audience
jiwoong and matthew got higher korean votes than gyuvin in the first round of eliminition. jiwoong got the highest votes overall among the trainees (even more than hanbin) during the first mission when he performed backdoor. gyuvin might have a big korean fanbase but i don't think jiwoong and matthew have a smaller fanbase than him tho. And i'm telling you, live audiences saw everything they did on the stages in front of them meanwhile we viewers just saw what mnet wanted us too
guys we need to vote for wumuti or he will be eliminated next round after his amazing performance in zoom. he deserves so much better and finally has to debut! he's rank 42 :(

It’s a hard song to pull off as you really need a certain amount of swag otherwise it just looks cheesy. These boys did it justice! Like honestly no hate gyuvin is in my top 2 after Han yujin and I really expected more from him I was the most anticipated for The Love killa performance and I really love gyuvin he is in my top 2 but I honestly thought Matthew or jiwoong gonna get the 1st place they ate this performance but it's just the beginning I hope gyuvin will give his best and will stand out the most in next mission .

the zoom performance was incredible! the number of times i've rewatched it is insane! It really felt so diverse with all their different rap styles and ofc keita devoured
as a chinese im so sick of the evil editing- it's obvious to me that some of the translations are pretty off and can be interpreted wrongly. literally every time ricky gets screentime it's evil editing. I feel really bad for people like krystian or cai bing from gp999 where their ranks drop significantly just because of evil editing.
Gyuvin really deserves some credit for choreographing that iconic dance break. I think mnet doesn't want Gyuvin in the debut lineup because apparently they edited love killa such that Gyuvin didn't stand out. Votes don't lie though many people who watched it live said Gyuvin performed amazingly. mnet prob wants people to think he got most votes just because of his visuals. btw i see it lmao gyuvin does look like a cravity member-

The main vocalist are DK & Seungkwan in seventeen. Yet for this song, Woozi which is the lead vocalist is the highlight of the song HOME. So even tho Jay is the main vocalist he most definitely will get less line & I've already expected it since the beginning. Seungeon do get he killing part a.k.a Woozi's part which has the most line in this specific song.
