I feel like it’s a really big disadvantage when the performance is shown in the second episode. I am especially worried for Jiho he was so good and I saw a lot of people loving it. I honestly feel like if this was shown last week he would made it because he really showed his talent so now I’m just praying
It sucks that they release performance just few days before the votings end, the people who like a certain trainee cuz of a performance can't even vote for them cuz there's literally no time, especially if the trainee finally got some major part after having sub-parts in the whole show.

100 percent!! These episodes are 2 hours long, they can definitely fit all performances in but they showcase reactions for 1 moment like a million times and give unnecessary screen time to mediocre trainees that are comical or cute

Limousine was the best performance for me. Krystian is my fav trainee since the beginning and I'm so glad he FINALLY got some spotlight and also called Mnet out LMAO. The whole team was amazing overall, Jihoo surprised me a lot cuz I never heard about cuz of the little screentime he got but he slayed so hard with the vocals and rap. Annthony did make a mistake in beginning but he redeemed himself afterwards and gave a good performance. The set was also CRAZYY good, loved it.

I only started voting for Woonggi after the dance battle with Keita and he was in my rotating picks for a while and honestly I regret not giving him a more solid spot in my votes 😭 I believe with my heart that he’ll survive this elimination and honestly after that? He’s staying in my voting pool. Creating choreo, distributing lines, leading the team, then giving a flawless performance in spite of have to take the most difficult parts? Professional idol material. Jay is still my 1pick but some way or another Woonggi will debut 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

i think law won for several reasons
1. han yujin was on the team and koreans loved him
2. law was a popular song from the streetman fighter show so there was hype from that
3. generally darker concepts seem to win = see back door, tomboy, love killa
if the 3rd point continues I think en garde or over me may win for the next mission, but with the amount of high ranking trainees that want to be in say my name (matt, hanbin, yujin, jiwoong) thee might be an expected twist
to add to this i think that although the zoom team gave a better performance in general law team had more rounded members, and i think the live audience pays more attention to individual trainees than we do just watching
I love seeing Zhang Hao in so many thumbnail of videos LMAO I will click if I see Zhang hao😂🫶 our boy getting the recognition he deserves🥰

I love Hanbin but you're right, he didn't suit. Hui is so experienced he made it work, but Zhang Hao and Gunwook stole the show. I think Hanbin knew he didn't suit the song as well by the end of it, that's why he felt so pressured and upset.. he still did well tho ofc, too talented for technical mistakes
Woongi was definitely robbed. I added him to my 6 because he deserved more. I was surprised Law won. I think Zoom showed better rap and dance, plus they had the perfect energy for the song. Kieta and P. Hanbin really are amazing. Kieta is more likely to make the final group. If Hanbin doesn't make the final group, I hope he becomes the leader of another one--he's good at it. I couldn't say whether Hui did well or not, they really didn't give him much screen time.

I am kinda hoping for a change, it’s not that I don’t like the current top9 they are really really good. I am just hoping for the Zoom Team to get some spotlight and hoping that Haruto goes up. I also think Jeong Woo has a good change of entering the top 9 soon he got really popular and I love to see it.
honestly i’m pretty confident hoe taek entered the top 9 again and then gun wook and park hanbin entered it too because of the benefits, im expecting keita and taerae to drop to 11th and 10th

Completely agree with you on the Tomboy team. I felt like Hui and Hanbin did their job well, but they didn't bring the song to life the way that Zhang Hao and Gunwook did.
Even if it hurts me since he’s my 1st pick, Jay’s rank dropping is expected considering the benefits. Tomboy won and Gunwook and Hui were 10 and 11 last week, so they are going into the top 9. Also, Park Hanbin was like 13 and since law won and he placed first, his ranking went up too. It wouldn’t be strange if Keita also dropped from the top 9. That doesn’t mean both are losing support, just that benefits play a big part.
Really manifesting Woongi to place 28, I’ve been waiting all season for him and sungmin to have screentime after being excluded from to1, and it really makes me mad that till this last moment they didn’t it to both.
And about love killa, I don’t think it deserved the win. It was a good performance but others were better because of one thing, concept. Trainees in butterfly and home understood perfectly the concept of the song, which helped them at giving a better performance. In love killa I don’t think they got the vibe. It was a good perfomance, but this kind of mad vibe that the song has was nowhere to be seen, the only one closer to that was Seowon.

I like how EVERYONE agrees Woongi was robbed, even all the participants had the « huh ? » face when they saw he didn’t win. No one were happy for the other guy because they all know that he didn’t make any effort for this till the very end. Woogki has been my number 1 vote since the show started, every chance there was to vote I voted for him. It just really annoys me how people use him as a meme and tells people to vote for him but they never do. I'm just really hoping he can get that 28th place. 🙏

In regards to law team the editing in terms of performance is really disappointing, Yujin is everywhere and even some of his screentime is repeated. It's really obvious that he is one of the shows pick and I'm not hating him tho, but other team members deserve also spot light, like Wang Zi hao who has lesser screen time (like some of it were cut) but have contributed a lot in choreography, even Yedam is the center but yujin got more screen time than him. I think this is the way of the show to lessen the votes of trainees that they don't like.

The "hate" against the Love Killer team feels more like disappointment to me. As a Monbebe myself I know no one can pull off a perfect cover. There are just certain groups everyone is and should be afraid off to cover. Overall the boys did good, but they got a little too much praise. And I'm still salty that Gyuvin won, when we're 7 episodes in and he hasn't shown me anything except a somewhat decent voice and his visuals. It's a survival show not one company rounding all their trainees together to get them to debut and making someone a visual. Only the best of the best in vocals, rap, dance and stage presence should make it. He is average at best and as hard as it may sound, thats simply not enough in a survival show. (Probably also what happened to Team Feel Special. The audience decided to vote for the most visually pleasing person.)
So, yeah I found the whole performance kinda overrated. They were part of the dance and vocal category, but of the four teams they had the easiest song to sing. Choreo-wise I can't really judge who had the hardest. I just felt more when watching the Butterfly and Home performances.
I heard the song for the first time when it was announced in the show. So, I know nothing about monstax. But from a completely clueless pov (that means I've nothing to compare), I actually enjoyed theb performance. Although I don't think they should've won in their category, I don't think it's a bad performance.
100% agree. Especially being salty about gyuvin winning. Like 250000 points, underserved. Maybe underserved is too strong of a word but there were a bunch of people who performed better both as a team and individually.
@51_Tamanna Tanmayi It wasn't a bad performance, but it also wasn't a great one. Seowon and Jiwoong suited the concept somewhat. Matthew still gave it his all. But nothing really stood out to me or had a wow factor.

Gun Wook ate that performance up😫!! I’m still kinda annoyed he didn’t get much screen time in that episode tho. Also I get what you meant about Hanbin he performed amazing the concept just didn’t suit him that much. Love him tho! Im not a Woongi stan but he was 💯 robbed. And I personally think the 3 teams that won deserved it but it was hard to pick between zoom and law teams 😅.
You're absolutely right that Woonggi was robbed. Like a full-on robbery in broad daylight. And the way they've made him believe he's on the bubble to get eliminated when he suffers from anxiety is just criminal. I want to give him a hug. I also totally agree that Gunwook and Zhang Hao were the highlights of the Tomboy stage, though I didn't think it was outside of Hui's wheelhouse. But then Dr. BeBe is my favorite Pentagon song, and it's darker and harder as well. I was so pleasantly surprised by how well Doha, Echan and Daeul did. There was significant improvement from the first episode.

If woonggi doesn’t debut, I don’t even follow this show besides your recaps and he’s the only person I actually care for. Idk what happened with him and TO1 but he’s a superstar and the industry needs him, we need him, he better debuttt
my hot take is that tomboy was......underwhelming and overhyped? i think the chorus lacked some impact but that gunwook part at the end was really interesting. maybe if they went full rock the chorus would sound much better, because verses were so good. but than the empty chorus came and i was??????? or is it a rather quiet arrangement of the "f*** tomboy" part? the spoilers of the audience said that they were cheering encore after that perfomance and my expectations were high.....
overall it was good, but even for bp's planet it wasn't the best. or maybe i just still live in the era of produce 101 season 1 and 2 that were too iconic 😅😅😅

Han bin looked so forced in tomboy that’s why the group can’t do a bad boy concept cause Han bin as the center can’t do it. I go off of Han bin for the members and concept cause he’s the only one I feel like is a definite debut.

I honestly think Hanbin was my favorite in Tomboy. The way he layered his own vocals and did harmonies for everyone else- he added so much to it. His vocals are just so clean. Dance wise I can see how he might have been a little out of his zone, Gunwook really shined there. They all did great

Kuan Jui ranked first in the butterfly team with 696 points. Junseo ranked last with 491 points. The way mnet edit the ranking can get confusing sometimes because they don't always show the last place trainee. But Kuan Jui did get 1st place in the group.
Though i very well knew I Chan would be eliminated but i really like his voice... can't believe the guy who looked so out of place in the previous performance turned a whole 180 degrees. I heard his self produced songs and it's really really good. Ma boy needs to be a producer
for the 3 candidates for 28th position, also, it was announced that it was the ranking 9h before the votes ended. of course they said this after woonggi starts having a panic attack and cries.. so it means that they could possibly all be saved, or all be eliminated, or have someone completely different in this 28th position. i really hope woonggi got saved, he did had a lot of votes after this episode aired because he was robbed but also they didn't showed it in ep 6 ( which could have helped him have one week more of votes ) and his rank was really low before so idk how much he gained from the last minutes votes 😭🙏🏻
also, zoom were totally robbed, for me they truly deserved to go to mcountdown 😭😭 it was just the most fun and entertaining performance...
the TXT memes: immaculate. Also yes, i was so salty about Woongki not getting 1st. He did everything! Main vocal, killing part, marking choreo, being the unofficial leader. Zhang hao was pure charisma and talent, it was insane. I liked zoom more than law too because i felt the zoom team made their cover a bit more fun/true to themselves

Mnet should release ALL the unedited performances at the same time. Its actually so unfair for trainees who did so well like Limousine team but people just didnt have time to vote for them because their performance was shown LESS THAN A DAY before voting closes.
It’s such a shame many of these boys hardly had any screen time or was completely edited out, it really isn’t a fair competition
DongYeol is very talented with a lot of experience and who was a great leader in both of the missions but we hardly saw him
Also they should of played all the performances during episode 6 , I feel the voting results would be drastically different !! A lot of the boys who finally got our attention during episode 7 will be unfortunately eliminated 😢
I feel they revealed who was currently in 28th place is because mnet is also annoyed Woongki didn't win Feel Special, so I'm convinced he'll be 27th place in the elimination.
I was so mad Wang Zihao made the second part of the choreo for Law team, but they cut his screentime again and during the performance made people think is was just Yujin's choreo. I love Yujin, I've been voting for him too, but all this xenophobia is getting on my nerves
Anyone who is in yujin team will get edited out to give space to his "poor boy working hard" storyline...
Also look how they did repeat shot on basic movement he did, but didn't for other who had more awesome move on the team

law: i loved everything about it, everyone did a great job and hanbin was an awesome leader. this performance made me OBSESSED with the song and i'm glad they won even if i'm a bit sad for zoom team
man in love: i finally fell into taerae's charm, his vocals were just perfect and his smile omg. the performance overall made me emotional because of all the feelings they transmitted, but now it's confirmed my opinion that mingyu is not bad at singing and he would be so much better if he was given proper vocal training instead of him just throwing his voice out with zero technique
rush hour: oh so much about them. first of all i just think they simply were not on the same page. something about ma jingxiang acting like that didnm't sit right to me, the way he kept repeating the same thing over and over again felt like someone on the verge of a panic attack. both his and ricky's behaviors are understandable if you think that they had a week to put everything together and this environment is extremely stressful. i also read something online that the whole fight was staged and just a prank, someone else said that sungmin on the site said jingxiang was actually the one who helped takuto and the others learn the choreo but of course the info was cut out, just like the fact that he's been chosen as the visual center of g group and is the only one of the most popular trainees (among them) that is not shown a lot. this is just internet info so be careful with it, but i wouldn't be surprised if it was true
limousine: i honestly almost cried during this, i lived for jihoo and krystian calling out both mnet and the haters on national tv and i was lowkey proud of them for that. the honesty and emotions they all poured into this for some reason hit deep
fell special: all i have to say here is that woongki was robbed after carrying all the training and the performance. boy sang the ENTIRE chorus twice and seemed like the only relaxed one on stage so i was kinda mad
cherry blossoms: ichan finally proved himself as a good vocalist, daeul definitely improved (even if i don't think it's enough to save him) and maybe we finally found doha's strenght? because he seemed comfortable with his rap part and his voice is actually pretty good when he doesn't force himself to do high notes
butterfly: the performance was very nice. cong's vocals and kuan jui's dance made me levitate
tomboy: i honestly was a bit worried about this team too, they're all guys who are both popular with fans and regarded by other trainees with respect so the expectations were very high for them and the struggles were understandable but thankfully they delivered a perfect performance
tomboy team winning of course came to no surprise. love killa and law are well deserved and of course i'm happy (but i feel a bit bad for home and zoom who were both awesome in my opinion)
@12:05 Totally agree with you! While I think Hanbin is really talented, I don't think this song was a good choice for him. As for Hui, his voice fits pretty well for this arrangement so he seems a less bit out of place than Hanbin imo.

Tbh this elimination is gonna be hard to see because I honestly loved the performances of those who have lower ranks.
I love Law and Zoom, but I honestly was rooting for Zoom team to get the MCountdown opportunity. Law had more dancing than singing, so if a group is gonna perform in MCountdown, the performance should have both singing and rapping and dancing.
I am honestly happy they chose to do a rock version for Tomboy and I think it's Hui's arrangement because have you see Pentagon's performance of "Very Good" in RTK?? IT'S FUCKING AMAZING!!
I know that no one in the audience knew about the drama behind "Feel Special" team. But so many bad things happened.
1. Woongki got robbed of getting 1st Place. Like someone call GOT7 cuz this boy hard carried the whole performance.
2. Shuaibo being picky with his part (If you wanted to perform the song so badly, take up the challenge that comes along with it)

Last week when people were upset about gyuvin winning and the defence was that the audience knew better because we're only seeing what mnet wants us to see through the camera but that same audience robbed woongki. Dude sang all of the choruses and he sang well it's so frustrating

I totally agree with you with regards to Woonggi being robbed and Lee Dongyeol was my favourite from there performance as well! Zhang Hao dying his hair black was probably the best decision he's ever made and he performed so well that I was even shocked by some of his gestures 😂 Sad to see Jay drop in rank but with no benefits he did really well and I'm sure he'll go up again! But it makes me curious to see who moved up and who else moved down in rank👀

As much as I love his outfit, and see people saying he owned this performance, I must say I personally think Zhanghao was my favourite from the Tomboy performance. With Hanbin being a close second. Idk, he did have a good rap and looked cool there, but that's mostly all I remember from him.
Also, side note, I'm not the biggest fan of all of Hoetaek's high notes (he's skilled, no doubt, I'm just _tired_ of them.), but I really liked the one towards the end. It wasn't the highest note he did during the performance, but it was the best one imo. It suited the song a lot, and it gave his vocals a really nice tone, from what I can remember.

I don't really get how the ricky and jingxian fight is evil editing? You guys just call everything negative that happens evil editing, like be fr here. This is a show where a bunch of people are stressed and thinks differently from eachother and they are all pretty young, they're bound to fight and be a little immature under pressure and thats OKAY. They're human, they make mistakes and get riled up, but they made up at the end! What are MNET suppsed to do? Edit it all out? Its a tv-show, they show us what happens and theres no way they would ignore such a big fight as this, they show us their hardships and their growth and thats GOOD! Ricky and Jingxian fought and it was a mess and that's OKAY. Stop blaming evil editing on everything that happens on this show, i'm tired of it.
Not showing any faults in the contestants and their growth is just really bad, they're human, please stop feeding into the mindset that they have to be perfect and that mistakes and fights should be hidden to keep the "perfect image".
I am in no way dismissing the fact that mnet is evil editing a lot, but i'm just saying that blaming EVERYTHING on evil editing is really bad.
i agree with what u said but also u have to take into consideration the fact that somehow all the beef and drama that make it to the episodes are of foreign particularly chinese trainees, krystian, shuaibo ricky and ma jingxiang like it cannot be a coincidence? surely the korean trainees also clash and have their disagreements at times right? but mnet is not showing us all that because they want to save the drama for the foreign trainees so they can get rid of them, not to mention how a lot of these clips are taken out of context and even GIVEN new context that would make the person look mean

But however k trainees have also been a target for "evil editing" like daeul, hui and more, but yes, mostly g trainees have been the main target for boys planet and girls planet and that sucks. But here i'm talking about how a lot of stuff gets swept under the rug by the "evil edit" excuse when some trainees have their "bad" moments. Evil edit is real but people should stop picking and choosing on what is a product of an evil edit or not. Example: people gladly jumped onto the daeul hate band wagon after daeuls bad vocal moment for the signal song when he was clearly sick, but that was edited to make him look bad and further evil edited in later episodes. (not a huge daeul fan, but i dont have a problem with him) But when a g group trainee does/says something a little questionable (which is fine, we all do) everybody is quick to whine about evil editing. A trainee gets little points? Rigged. A trainee gets scolded? Evil editing. Like do people really expect everyone to be perfect little angels? This show is about survival and hardships that they learn from and get through but people watching are so afraid of them making mistakes, and i think the whole idol mentallity is the reason for that.

@@monya1524 Yes, and thats why critical thinking is good xD People should not think one bad moment makes a whole person evil, now thats the fault on the general public then. I would agree that mnet is trying to make people turn against specific contestants *if they didn't show the development and good ending*, however, mnet does show it. Mnet hasn't failed, from what i can remember, to show the great outcomes from the bad moments. What i think mnet often does is: show problems that come up, blow them a little out of proportion for TV, and then show how these contestants together face the problem and work it out, and i think that's good, because it shows the contestants have teamwork and problem solving skills! BUT, yes, as you said, i think people are scared for their favs and just panic about these moments being showed because people judge too quickly. But people need to take a step back and realise not everything is evil editing, just simply edited to be a little more dramatic to make it more interesting, because it is TV!!

this is a really random thought but i think if they styled hui and hanbins hair differently it would've made them fit the concept better. idk but the hair down, kinda bowl cut look just doesn't scream bad boy. zhanghao and gunwooks hair fits perfectly though and amplifies the badassness

I think Hanbin's got a pretty expressive face when he's performing, and the styling basically hid half his face. It's like the stylist team went: "we can't have them all showing forehead, let's split it 50/50" lol

Because In the beginning used to vote for him in 1st round cuz I knew him from another survival show and before the 2nd episode where all the trainees were completely introduced I voted for him but then seeing more skilled people, even if are not as handsome as him, voting for that people was more important. But we all know in the survival shows usually some of the most skilled people drops out instead of those who really need to improve more before debuting like Doha, Mingyu, Daeul. Ok i was a bit angry? Yes. Will I be angry on Thursday because some good people would be kicked out instead of some who should improve? Yes. Sorry for the outburst🙏

native chinese speaker here. don't send hate to shuaibo, but his and cai jin xin's attitude was a major turn off. the translation wasn't 100% accurate but what they said after the evaluation was along the lines of "he (woonggi) didn't tell us anything about the lyrics and teach us choreo. how the hell are we supposed to do well?". gurl? this is your "favorite" song? at the dorms they also said "of course this was gonna happen, what did you expect (reflecting on feedback given by mentors)? if it ends up like this the editors will cut it out, its fine.". utter disappointment. if woonggi doesnt survive imma cry myself to sleep
