- In this video, I will show you an alternative to Google Chrome and other Internet browsers that has a special focus on privacy.
The browser is called Brave, and with the amazing features that it offers such as a built-in ad blocker, it is really worth a try.
Brave by far is my favourite! I also received rewards by activating its ad feature collecting BAT tokens. Thanks for sharing👍👌
Yes, 👍
it's a new way of dealing with ads. At least you have the option for it.
@@HamidDLL definitely
I just tried Brave for couple of hours and I officially emigrated from the Chrome today.... Thanks for sharing
Hey Farzad,
Glad to hear that you liked it.
Very interesting. I’m surprised why I’m hearing about such a tool now! Long overdue...
👍
In my opinion, Vivaldi, Firefox and Brave are the best for overall control over your privacy and security. However, I personally use Opera's gaming browser (Opera GX) with privacy addons and all privacy settings enabled because GX has a lot of features that I really can't live without. In general, I feel like most third-party browsers are fine with the right addons and know-how but people should stay far away from Edge and Chrome in general.
Well said. What I really like about Opera in general is the smooth experience down the road. No slow down, or the need for clearing cache or cookies. Something that is a frequent need in Chrome.
Chrome has special features as well, so, it all depends on the special needs.
@@HamidDLL Exactly! Opera used to be my go-to browser way back when but after the initial leap to Chromium, I left them for Firefox and Chrome (this was before I knew the importance of privacy) and I switched between the two for years until I found GX. Opera GX reaffirmed my old school love for Opera and their focus on a solid browsing experience with plenty of innovation.
Thanks for your input.
I'll give it a try then. As end users, we always benefit from the competition between them, and I personally never like to be a fan of anything at the cost of ignoring other options.
@@HamidDLL I absolutely agree! Well, that is, I agree with competition unless it's Google haha
Thanks Hamid. In your opinion, what are the cons of Brave? and what do you miss about Chrome?
To be honest, nothing yet.
It works really well.
Brave is x3 times slower than Chrome , Edge and Firefox and uses more resources. Please watch "Fastest Internet Browser" from ChrisTitusTech channel.
Edit: I gave brave another chance and the problems are resolved. It's the fastest actually.
Honestly, I think it's case dependant. None of these is an always winner.
But, thanks anyways for suggesting such a nice video from Chris. 👍
I was trying to watch this video on Brave on my W10 PC. Its a laggy mess. I switched to FF and it works just fine. Strangely enough, Brave has no issues on my laptop using Manjaro.
Edit: Turning off hardware acceleration and now it's better but still higher latency than it should be.
Hi. Thanks for sharing your solution.
I heard the same thing from a friend, but, apparently, it wasn't a fault of of Brave. After a windows update, the problem was resolved without any change in Brave.
It most likely is a graphic/driver incompatibility.
Brave for privacy and edge for productivity
Yep, I like that combo, especially since Edge Chromium is released.
@@HamidDLL yes, can you tell which add-ons do you use???
I use many many extensions, but my favorites are the UblockOrigin and VideoSpeedController. I have a video about VideoSpeedController, I'm sure you will like it.
@@HamidDLL yes sir , that video was very cool, please made a video on advanced blocking with ublock Origen, in that video please explain using all the modes easy, medium and hard, please
I use Brave, I don't use Chrome, nothing special in Chrome, don't know why most people use Chrome only
Chrome was good at the time others where not as good. That's not the case today.
I should give it a try
You will like it.
perfect
Thanks for watching.
I am a professinal web engineer... During my CPU/RAM utilization tests Brave ranks the best and FireFox being the worst.
Hi Preumal,
Thanks for the info.
Nice catch.
